We went there on 9/5 for dinner. Food was very good and very authentic, but service was not good. I have been there before and never had complains, but last night, probably, the owner or manager was not there, so our server was in his own world: 1) Server did not want to note down the order and acted that he remembers it, but when I asked him to repeat the order- yes, he messed up one item. 2) Later, when food was served on our table. The order was messed again. We asked for our appetizer non-veg platter, even the main course was already served on our table. Server mentioned that two more minutes. Finally, it came after good 10 minutes of wait, after the main course was served. 3) Non-Veg Platter has big pieces of meat, but no knife was provided. Our server disappeared after bringing the platter to our table. It was very difficult to eat grilled meat without the knife. Imagine eating a steak without the steak knife- my hands were like I just attended a clay workshop. Finally, we have to waive at other servers to get our check, since we have been waiting for more than 10 minutes after finishing our food. Two stars for good food, but service last night was worse than the college cafeterias. This is not the experience you look for when you are there to celebrate someone’s special day.

Wost customer service experience i have ever got from any restaurant.. Went there with 4 church friends after church.. 3 people individually ordered the bread staffed with potatoes.. they gave us 2 orders filled with half plain and half staffed and told us that all 3 people should share.. and i said why share when each individual placed a sperate order and is paying $4 for each individual order? They then bought another one but didnt put any portatoes. When we were leaving after finishing eating, all 5 of us were ovet charged on our cards... we didnt notice this until we left. For example i was supposed to pay $12 but they charged me $17... all the time we were complaining, the manager was just nearby giving us the look of death without interveining.. but he kept starring at eyes with a scary look all the time were there.. This place need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau.. Stay away ... its a scam... If you are stubborn and dicide to go, make sure you check what they charge you on your credit card or debit card

This one is at a great location, nearer to my office so I went there yesterday with my team during lunch time. Food was served extremely late and the orders were all messed up. I also got beaten up by my boss for turning up late for my meeting which I thought I would be early. Dont go there on team lunch unless youve couple of hours to spare. When youve to wait for that long, quality of food becomes moot. BTW food is okay, though I did not get what I ordered. Only reason I chose it because It sounded like a franchise of the restaurant with same name in Plano. May be it is, but it sure have to improve on the expectations of its customers. An hour long wait to get our food during lunch time on a weekday, is not something I would like to experience on a working day. I will visit this place once again in the evening in coming days to see, if it is worth going there at night or not. I really like the restaurant in Plano and would love a similar outlet closer to where I stay, i.e. inRichardson.

I have been to Bawarchi at multiple locations in this country, but when i stepped into the one at Richardson, TX location the ambiance was really good elegant & pleasant unlike most Indian fast food chains/restaurants. This review is exclusive for this particular place as they maintained the place & food at good standard at least for now .. hopefully they will carry on. Coming to the Quality of food considering the fact that south indian people are always Ga-Ga about the biryani - yes it got some absolutely delicious biryani especially the goat keema biryani & ulvacharu Biryani. The curries also taste good & authentic. Overall I rate this place 4.5 in terms of quality, authenticity of the food,. service.

OMG! This is my first review on an Indian restaurant, I am from a place where Biryani was invented. I have never tasted the worst Biryani in my life not even in any Punjabi or North Indian restaurant, not a single dish we ordered was a good one... Kadaipanner- this is like tomato curry with paneer...finally dessert - Black Forest and pineapple pastries they were as hard as rock. This is not another competitor or some business folks posting this review... we are very disappointed with food and finally Service - I guess he owns the place (owner)--- he is treating their employees badly ....trust me I would never ever visit this place and will warn my people to beware of this place...

The manager of this restaurant, Mr Ashwin was very rude and doesnt seem like willing to do business with Desis. On our call to change the order, he disconnected the call claiming the restaurant is busy. Worst part is Ive been visiting this restaurant for last 3 years, taking my team and customers every week. In spite of him realizing that Im his regular customer, he didnt bother. If he doesnt respect the customers, then there is no point in visiting to this restaurant. There are enough Indian restaurants in & around DFW area and willing to do business with great respect to the customers. So think twice before visiting Bawarchi Richardson.

My husband and I came here a couple times and service was really great and food was awesome! However, we ordered our dinner to go one night and having to recall them 5 times in order for the guy to hear me due to all the other phones ringing in the background and camotion going on, he got out order wrong. When we called back to let them know we were missing something they said they were closed and wouldnt help us at all. They were not friendly when we called and was overall not happy with how their take out service was. Due to this, we havent been back. Would have loved them to care a little more about their customers then they did.

I will give 0 stars if thats possible. This is one of the worst indian restaurant. They have a dont care customer attitude. It happened twice for me where I ordered veg biriyani and prawn biriyani and both times they gave me chicken biriyani. I have an allergy with chicken. I did complained first time and I thought they will improve but never. This time they havent answered my call at all. I will not refer this restaurant to any of my friends. If you are visiting this restaurant, understand that it is on your own risk.

Staff behavior was very rude and unprofessional. I had ordered food to-go. I went to pick up and asked for discount (based on some coupon) but they had already swiped my card and resisted to cancel the transaction. When asked for explanation one of the employees spoke to other employee in regional indian language (Telugu) passing racist comments and telling "these guys dont know nothing and are wasting our time." When I requested again they said "we cant do it now we have lot of customers."

Excellent biryani for both vegetarians and meat lovers. The food can be a bit spicy. The regular dishes, i.e. paneer tikka, channa masalas, are well made. The naans are probably the best that I have had in the last year. The staff is pleasant and efficient. The prices are nominally higher than other places. However, the quantity is more as well. The one mistake that a person might make is to order several biryanis. A single biryani with the side dishes can probably feed about 3-4 people.
