Im sorry to report that this restaurant is a joke compared to Si Lom. I went here just last night and EVERYTHING was half as good as at Si Lom. I wish I was joking because I drove an extra 30 minutes to Bambu and it was a total disapointment. They are using crushed red pepper instead of habanero, using walmart mushrooms instead of fresh wild mushrooms. At bambu in my Tom Kha Gai there were raw pieces of ginger and crap I couldnt even chew through! They have a $13 catfish dish that has no catfish in it, its merely the crust scaped off of a deep fried catfish (thats all i can figure it was). I was told Bambu was the pinnacle of asian food and if that is true then move over because Si Lom is now king. All hail. lol It seemed to me that only the Pad See Eew was good.. All 5 other dishes were disapointment and we wont be back ever again. Why would you go back when a place like Si Lom exists that is a little cheaper, better food, better atmosphere better everything! PLEASE listen to me and do yourself a favor. Everyone giving this place a positive review must not have been to Si Lom, honestly. I chose to take my family here and the look of disappointment on their faces and mine was evident. If you would like me to rant to you more about this feel free to contact me : ) Bambu is like a fast food version of Si Lom except that Bambu is a little more expensive!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER HAD. Literally waited for 30 mins after telling us a 5-15 minute wait. A table opens, then a party of 5 comes in and they seat them right away. Told us because they have more people than us that they seated them first. Again weve waited 30 mins now. Asked the manager why they got seated as they tried to come up with an excuse in the back so I had to go find the manager... Proceeds to tell me that table had a reservation. I turn around ask the table, did you have a reservation? They said no. And then "manager" wouldnt even speak to me. Case closed. You suck. Ill never go back.

I used to love this place, but my last visit was unacceptable. It seems theyve started to skimp on the portion sizes. Maybe its because I got it to-go? Regardless, it wasnt as much as before. But even worse is they gave themselves an extra 10% tip after I already tipped them 15%! I manually enter my own budget on my phone at the time my card is charged, and my card statement shows an even larger total. This is outright stealing. Avoid this establishment; this behavior should be shunned.

Absolutely love this place! In fact, I love this place so much Im constantly having it out with another customer for my mayorship on Foursquare. :) The Beef and Chicken Noodle soups are perfect if you want something on the light side. So filling and full of flavor. The mussels, when available, are the best mussels Ive had in Dallas. Incredibly fresh and again, full of flavor. I havent had a bad thing yet and the owners are so warm and welcoming! This place is a must!!!

Price, quality control, and menu variety are excellent. The service is prompt and the staff is pleasant. However, I gave it only 3 stars because every dish that I or my guests have had there is TOO SWEET - even the spicy level of dishes. Thai food around the DFW area, elsewhere in the USA, or back in Thailand has never been this sweet. It is a pity because you can tell that the ingredients are fresh and well-prepared except for this aspect.

Been going there since it opened. The best Thai food in Richardson. Excellent curry and the summer rolls are tops. Great service and staff with the owner most often on site. Owners mother is the chef (chef not cook). Good original recipes not the normal "cookie cutter" served in franchised restruants. Open for lunch and at 5 pm for supper. Highly recommend.

We drive 5 miles and past several thai restaurants to visit this place. The food is amazing and very authentic; they have special menu items common to lesser known areas of Thailand, but also all the basics youre probably used to. Great bar with signature cocktails, nice patio, and modern, welcoming decor. One of our favorite places for an evening out or date.

Solid pad kee mao. My dates ginger beef was excellent. We shared the coconut black rice pudding for dessert and it was fantastic. Bambu has a full bar, though we didnt get drinks on this visit. My complaints are minor: the portion size was a little small for what Im used to in a Thai restaurant and my "medium" spice wasnt. I would come back.

Tried as a regular for months...Wish they could be a little more generous with the eggplant, asked every time, even holding bell peppers and no eggroll. I received 4 small quadrants today. Guess Ill be going to Banana Leaf on Preston from now on. They love to give pile on the eggplant! Yay for choices in this world!

I tried the house salad and I was happy with it. Others at my table were enjoyed the rice and noodle dishes. It is good that you can decide how spicy you want your dish. We were the only ones in the shop so we had good service. The abiance is nice and the price is good. I want to come back and try more dishes.

We ordered several items off of the specials menu and everything was awesome! The lobster curry was the best curry Ive had. dont pass up dessert....both traditional Thai desserts were delicious. Staff was very friendly. Service was a little slow but the place was packed. Highly recommend.

The only reason Im not giving this place 5 stars is the service kinda sucks, but the food makes up for it in every way possible. Hands down best thai food I have ever had. I cant even eat anywhere else cause it never ever compares

Food was incredible! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. For the newbies I highly suggest the chicken fried rice. Had to sweeten my own sugar, and the service could have been better. I will still come back.

Considering it to be a mid-range restaurant, it met our expectations. The food tasted good, though nothing extraordinary. The plus point for us was that its open till late hours at night. Overall satisfactory.

Great service here. Interior is bright and cozy. The food itself isnt as spicy as I would expect from a Thai place, even if you choose the max spice level (1 to 5), but it is overall very flavorful and tasty.

Very good food. The restaurant is somewhat hidden, with the outside tables not being used often you would think it isnt busy, but its a nice cozy spot for a good meal. Try it!

服务员超棒,吃的东西很讲究,米饭都是用竹篮子装的,牛肉入味而不腻。

Our go-to spot for local Thai cuisine. Welcoming staff and consistent good quality fare. Try the Pad Suki if you are looking for something out of the ordinary.
