While dining there on 05/17/2013 around 8 PM, we had an unexpected visitor, in the form of a roach, join us in our dining experience by skittering across the table. We informed the staff, and their reaction was indifference (either that or they just didnt understand us, as their English skills seemed to be limited at best), so we moved to another table, and were promptly ignored for the remainder of the stay (until the bill was due, of course). And, to cap it all off, they actually asked us How was everything? when paying the bill. When I again informed them of the roach, I received a Ah, so sorry...$25.94, please. I must mention that we kept quiet while in the restaurant, there were no loud exclamations or shouts of horror. Just because our meal was ruined, that doesnt mean it should have been a bad experience for everyone. So, while I enjoy Chinese food (and have the 42" waist to verify this), King Buffet is defiantly off my list of Fine Restaurants of Nederland.

Went there around 3:20..got our check immediately and while we were going back for more of the BUFFET, the waitress came to us saying she was going to change our ticket prices cause they were going into dinner...We told her we were paying the ticket that we had so she actually picked up my husbands plate and took his food and looked towards me like she was going to snatch mine up to, but i guess she saw the expression on my face and saw that I wasnt going for it......THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE AND FOOD WAS JUST OK....WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN.... #NEVEREVER

Seen a lot of negative comments. Been here 3 times and I havent been disappointed, although I did come here knowing it is a Chinese buffet. Cmon? If you frequent Chinese buffets often enough, as I do, then you should already what to expect. King Buffet isnt as bad as other places Ive been. Maybe Ive been lucky that each time I go, everything is fresh and the dishes havent been destroyed by wandering children sticking their hands into everything. If you go in expecting. A Chinese buffet and not a Cheesecake Factory, you might be less disappointed.

Food was bland charged us $7 for our 6 year old to eat and all she ate was half a piece of pizza, one of their sugar biscuits, one small piece of meat and a small cup if ice cream. They charged us $5 for our 5 year old to eat a hand full of fries and a small cup if ice cream because they would not let us just put a little bit of our food on a plate for them to share. They need to consider that children cant eat as much as adults and adjust their prices for kids to like $3.

Horrible food and service. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!The day is 5/18/2015 and my husband and I decided to go eat at Kings Buffet. We both got 1 plate and the food was horrible. He had fried fish and it was slimy. I had the coconut shrimp but it taste like chicken. After we informed the waitress we were not pleased they still made us pay full price which was ridiculous for the quality of their food. From now on we will check the reviews before we eat anywhere else.

This is really a great place to eat. The food is about the best that you are going to find in a Chinese restaurant in the area. The frog legs are great, being born in Louisiana, I was very surprised to see them here. This place is easy to find, easy to get into from the interstate and getting back on the interstate is easy also. Best Chinese restaurant in the area.

Two kinds of peel and eat shrimp. Pan fried with no breading and boiled. Usually very good. Last 4 or 5 times I went, the pan fried shrimp was so overcooked, you couldnt get the shell off. The boiled shrimp had no flavor, as if it was boiled in water only. Use to be my favorite place.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. It is really that bad. I had a roach leg in my mouth and our waitress claimed that it was a crab leg. I didnt even have anything with crab on my plate and Ive seen enough roaches in my life to know what a roach looks like.

Will never go back. This place was dirty,some of the food was so nasty we both spit it out. Service was lest than addiquit . I have nothing good to say. The best part about the meal was leaving.I gave it one star because that was the lowest rating they had.

My husband and I ate ate there on 8/28/2015. I had one plate and became sick right after eating a few bites. My husband was fine until we got home and he bad diarrhea and naseaua, headaches and aches! I also saw a co kirsch in the womens restroom!

Tasty, as usual ... 2 trips to food bars and 1-1/2 trips to dessert bar. Staff friendly and welcoming as usual !!!! Ice tea is a must !!
