Short review: Worst customer service by far. Ive never had anyone tell me to not come back and I quote "no, dont come again". The receptionist was very rude. I will never come here again nor will I recommend this place to anyone. Youre way better off going to 98 pounds in bloomington. The food there is much better, service is very friendly, and there is more selection of food. Longer, quite lengthy review: My boyfriend and I enjoy going to Chinese buffets that serve crab legs. We love seafood. We usually go to 98 pounds for crab legs however they werent serving crab legs Friday-Sunday. So we decided maybe well try a new buffet. We did some search online and found this place. It had average reviews. We called and the receptionist confirmed that they were serving crab legs. We get there and asked for a table for two. Without blinking an eye the receptionist says something to me (couldnt quite understand her heavy accent), I said excuse me and she gave me an attitude repeating herself "$24.??", paid for it and stood there for a minute wondering if we seat ourselves or wait for someone to seat us; you seat yourselves and self serve drinks. My boyfriend opted for the crab legs right away. I headed towards fried rice and other dishes. The food is not that great. The sesame chicken tasted really weird. And the dumplings along with the sauce had this very bitter taste. Ive had dumplings from other places and its usually very gingery and sweet and savory. After some samples of their dishes, I decided to just have some shrimp and crab legs. Their crab legs are TINY compared to other places. My boyfriend probably had 5 plates of crab legs total, and I, maybe 2. I noticed every time my boyfriend went up for a plate of crab legs, the receptionist and the server would speak to each other in Chinese. The receptionist would stare out at us and every 10 minutes, she would walk by and discreetly "check" on us. When we left, I said thank you to the receptionist. She said "no, dont come again!" I knew she was mad that we ate over 30 dollars of seafood, after all, it is a BUFFET. We didnt do anything wrong. They had no disclaimer about crab legs, most places dont. I said to her with a smile, "Ill see you next week." I really didnt mean it but I really wanted to agitate her some more because clearly she didnt want us to go there ever again for illegitimate reasons. I mean, come on, its an all you can eat buffet. All we did was eat. We didnt cause any harm to anyone, we didnt disturb anyone. We showed up, paid, ate, said thank you, and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone who loves seafood. If you dare touch their seafood, they will treat you as if youve robbed them. If you dont believe me, go there and try. I rated their food as "good" only because they had crab legs.

Horrible service! My husband requested 8 times in person when he was ordering that they NOT put onions in the order. He told them it was very important! Seriously! When he brought the food home, it was filled with onions! It was a simple request that was made very clear. Whats frustrating is that it wasnt the first time and this is why he clarified with the lady numerous times. When I called asking for it to be corrected, the manager (who wouldnt give me his name) said they would take my number and write it down for future credit. I made it clear that we would not be returning in the future. When I told him that would not be acceptable and I waited for his response, all I got was silence. Eventually, he hung up on me. Not only do they screw up a simple request, their food is mediocre (hard to get good Chinese in Shakopee) and the customer service is horrible!

If you are looking for a casual hangout with friends, family gathering, or even a romantic environment with your date, this is the place to go. I personally find Hong Kong Buffets menu to be delightful to the taste buds simply because of their variety and also their signature meat, "General Tsos Chicken". I am an avid customer of their restaurant and I enjoy every time I go there. There is a magical atmosphere to the restaurant with the soothing oriental music in the background, friendly employees offering to take your plate, and the relative peace that the setting brings. The only drawback I can perceive is that they do not have gift cards. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a relaxing yet exciting experience.

It was always good our choice as a family to eat at.. one time we went there and our daughter kept smelling pee. I smelt her seat and it smelt as if someone freshly pissed there. After we got home the daughter took her pants off and smelt them and they smelt like the piss. Anyways i told the woman working there that that spot smelt like pee ahe told me the story about an old man coming in there that has a health condition maybe. I told her to refuse service to him then. She says she still lets him come in there basically. So overall im done going there til they get that problem handled. Smh smelling piss while stuffing myself is not my forte otherwise food is good but the piss. Its got to go!!

We have been going to this buffet 06 and always we have been really satisfied. As a local I can assure you that everyone loves the experience. When I read the one star reviews, they were mostly situational, and picky. So as a proud Shakopee resident I will say that they have an amazing selection, that is not to large, and their ice cream is the best in all if twin cities and Minnesota. Actually its even worth it just going for the ice cream from their machine. Overall, this is an amazing place to go to, and to gather with many people, at a cost that is really affordable, and quality that is amazing.

My Mother came down from Maple Grove and my 2 daughter, the boyfriends and I thought we would try the buffet, since we all love Chinese food. For starters the food was cold and then my daughter had a fly in the rice, thank god she saw it. We called over one of the staff and they took the plate away and never said another word. They didnt apologize, they didnt compensate my daughters dish, give her a discount or nothing. I thought for what we paid for this buffet, the food should have been better, and they could work on their etiquette. We will not venture into that place again..

this is one of the worst places to eat, it was a fly sitting on one of the desserts, we told the cook what was happening and he just said "oh really!" then he continued bringing food in to the buffet, they never removed the item. They dont have a lot of dishes like in other buffets, not enough to choose., salad bar has only one bowl with lettuce, one bowl of cucumbers with tomatoes, boil eggs and 3 more fruits. They only have 2 isles of food, not enough see food items (crab legs, oisters with mayo, shrimp and dry salmon). The other isle, the typical and basic chinese food items.

I go here quit a bit. Always leave full and enough variety to please the whole family. Do not understand some that complain about service. This is a buffet not cook to order, you serve yourself if dining in or to go. They do come around and take your dirty dishes, so have room to go for seconds or more. If you are looking for personalized service go to another restaurant and pay way more. I have lived in Shakopee since 1977, and I have been going here since it opened.
