Horrible! First off their prices are way off for the quality they serve! The food quality is not good compared to other restaurants! For a plate of 4 tacos is around $12 and you dont receive any sides not only that our tacos didnt come with the pablano peppers which made them seriously boring and lack flavor. Now the salsa we received was not so great either so be warned when you take the first bite because youll get a mouth full of Cuman spices!! Im very serious it is very over powering and will knock you out! OK so our service was not great either.. We had a female server with short black hair and tats.. Idk her name so I guess I would just describe her some but I hope yall dont get her! She was fast to place some chips on your table then dissappear for about 20 minutes then return to take your order. The food did come out fast but like I said it it was poor quality and not worth the prices.. The prices were up there compared to Abuleos! After we were done eating our over priced Lunch we then sat there for about 45 minutes for our check! Ugh it was just a terrible experience all around... So if you like over paying for low quality food and slow service go ahead and eat here!

El Norte? El No way. Sorry folks, but this was a cheesy place. Pun Intended. I ordered cheese enchiladas and they served up really small enchiladas with a quasi corn tortilla filled with a petrified block of processed cheese, which was not even melted. The white queso that went on top looked like processed American sliced white cheese that was melted and solidified. The AC was blowing directly on the food making it cold before you even had a chance to pick at it. The salsa and rice were the only two items out of everything we ordered that I liked. Even the spinach in the enchilada tasted like frozen spinach mixed with canned mushrooms, and the waiter had the guts to state everything was made fresh daily. The ambiance is mediocre. Service was reasonable. I certainly would not return because the food does not meet the minimum requirement to be considered a Mexican restaurant. If you want a reality check, try Chuys or Abuelos and then make your comparison.

We stopped by for the first time today. My son, being the picky 8 year old eater he is, chose the cheese pizza. He said it was really good. Also, he couldnt stop eating the tortilla chips. My wife said her burrito was really good as well. And I can say that the Texas brisket soft tacos I ate were really good! The atmosphere had a sort of a cool kitsch feeling. It most definitely didnt have that chain restaurant feeling to it. The waitress was really nice and at the end of the meal, she got more than a 20% tip from us (which I dont normally do). I can definitely see this being a go-to eat out destination for us.

Ive eaten there often. I love their fajitas but Ill never order the lunch fajitas again, Ill only order off the dinner menu. At my last visit I ordered off the lunch menu and the grilled peppers and onions were soggy and sparse. The fajita meat was really good, though. Ive always enjoyed the dinner menu and the fajitas were excellent. When I had a not as stellar experience at lunch, it was early, and I think we were the first people there so I wonder if my peppers and onions were left over from the night before. I will try them again, but Ill never go again when they first open in the am.

My first time eating here and I will definitely be back. I was a little leery as I pulled up because it doesnt look like much from the outside but it was clean and homey inside. The salsa is good and white queso is delicious. The beef chimichanga was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, really delicious. The waitress was fast and friendly (and extremely cute.) Great all around experience. Ive been back multiple times since my first visit and it has been great every time. The beef fajitas are fantastic and are my go to order now.

Such a great experience! Went with a date and we had such a great dinner! Our waiter was great, the food was amazing and we sat in an area that was fairly quiet. I cant think of anything bad to say about this place! BTW, I had the Pork Montana...wow! My date said he felt like he made the wrong choice by getting the chimichanga, but that didnt stop him from eating until he was uncomfortably full. Everything on the menu sounds amazing and I bet it all is. I would definitely recommend this place!

I suspect if you actually read or follow D magazine you are too stuck up for a place like this. - Salsa has lots of cumin flavor. Chips were thin and crispy with not too much salt. Beef and chicken fajitas came out sizzling hot with a proper scoop of guac and sour creme. Rice and beans were tasty. Service was good. - Decor is charming and with lots of colorful chotzky. - Didnt sit too heavy and came out to 34 bucks including tip for two people with fajitas and a full box of leftovers.

We used to eat at least weekly at el north but due to inconsistencies and lower quality of food served we stopped altogether. Sine we were craving decent TexMex we decided to try again. This will be my last visit. My order was screwed up again and instead of replaying my meal the incorrect item was scraped off my plate along with all the topping for my enchilada. The owners are so determined to cut costs that they sacrifice quality. I live within a mile and will not return.

One of my favorites. I love everything here. I have never had an issue with the food or service. All the meat they use is from the Plano meat market and it really makes a difference. They also have nights with drink and food specials and they are actually things youd want to eat and drink! A great place to pop in on the week nights when its not so busy. Great atmosphere!

They brought our appetizer and main dish at the same time, beef fajita was dry and not marinated, tamales did not taste like tamales and were covered with sweet green sauce. The salsa was also bit sweet! I dont understand all these people giving it 4 or 5 stars, most have never had good Mexican food before, nothing was good except the service.

Used to be a great place for Tex-Mex at a decent price. However, their prices have gone up, portions have gone down, and the food is not as good. Had an early lunch there today and their spicy ground beef was tasteless - very bland. Still like their salsa and service is OK. Skip this place. There are many other good Mexican places in town.

This is one of those wonderful local treasures that is rather unknown. They have great food and their white queso is legendary. You get a nice portion size for a decent price. The staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable enough to proffer recommendations. To top it off, their margaritas great and their happy hour shouldnt be missed.
