The food was really good, and generous proportions. It is definitely Tex-Mex, but quite tasty. It is higher priced than your average Mexican food restaurant. Their Carne-Asada was about $24, but it is made with a 10oz Ribeye, cooked to perfection, and tender enough to cut with a fork. We had a large order of Guacamole, which was really too much for two normal people, but again it was excellent, and had large chunks of Avocado in it, which we both liked. Also had "flight" of Margaritas for $12, and all four varieties were delicious, and generous with the alcohol, though they were obviously not full sized drinks. After tip (21%), with appetizer, drinks, and two of their more expensive entrees, we spent about $100... But we will likely go back again.

I went in for water a couple of times, and they offered me chips and salsa. I asked if it costs anything, and they said no. I went in there a third time, cause from what they told me, I thought the chips and salsa were free. The lady told me its free only if i get anything else with it. I told her the others told me it was free before, so she just stared at me and said, "So you basically just came in to get the chips and salsa?" with an attitude. Last time i ever went there. I dont understand why I would be misinformed and then get spoken to me that way, like its my fault. Also, very spicy salsa and pricey for food that is not even good, but the queso was at least somewhat decent.

Our first and last time at this location. The service was the worst weve experienced in a very long time. The server was not trained and obviously overwhelmed so we didnt want to add to her stress by complaining to her. It took 15+ mins to get beverages , 25 mins just for appetizer which was queso and no refill on chips when the queso arrived, had to request more chips. Another 25+ mins for the entrees to arrive and another half hour to get a ticket after finishing our dinner. The guy who appeared to be the manager would walk by and not offer to help this server even after seeing our empty glasses. The food was average so overall a dinner night to FORGET.

This restaurant is very nice and clean. My first time ever eating here. I had went and met up with a girlfriend to eat here a few days after having surgery. I know I was not dressed to look at my best :( however our server and other staff were very pleased to help me around and treated me with the up most respect. The food was delicious, especially the tortilla soup, and I can not wait to go back! Of course on one of my better days. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food is always very well prepared and delivered quickly; and atmosphere is quiet, since the main dining room is separate from the bar. We are regulars and are always greeted by name by both the manager and staff. The waiters remember our "usual" requests, and we are often given meals to sample. The latest were shrimp nachos that were delicious (not on the menu); we will be certain to order them again. Kudos to Mi Cocinas manager!

Noisy bistro concept. Food is ok but in the Dallas area there are so many Mexican restaurants that, in my opinion, this one gets lost in the crowd. Chips are thick and not very fresh tasting. Taco salad was very good but instead of serving in the typical shell it has seasoned chips on the side. I was not fond of the seasoning that they used on these chips so the taco salad became pretty much of a tossed salad for me.

We have been going to MICOs for over 20 years, this location in particular. The food is always excellent, service is courteous and prompt. My kids have loved the food from 3 years old to 18, as does my sister and mother. You must have a Mambo Taxi...their version of a margarita. If you like a little variation, try the Mambo Limo with a little Chambord. I HIGHLY recommend MiCocinas...its the best Tex-Mex in Texas.

Yuck! I went to the bar since the hostess seemed to be confused about where to seat me. It was close to 9:30p and I wasnt sure how long they were serving food. I ordered food, yet the bartender was clueless about how to take an order. I regret that his English wasnt very good. I got my order, however, not how I requested with a different sauce and not the yellow rice. Plus the chips were stale.

Great food! Ask for Mario or Andy for killer service! 8/11/2017 update. The service is still great, the food is still awesome, but still no sopapillas. They had them for a week, and then took them away. I think they are secretly plotting to make my life miserable. Theyre probably tapping my phone to make sure a revolt isnt starting. FREE THE SOPAPILLAS!!! NO SOPAPILLAS, NO PEACE!!!

We had a waiter named Gio. He was excellent and provided just the right amount of information and service to make this a really great dining experience. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is very clean and calm. One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. Definitely a new favorite place.

Wonderfully delicious food. Great atmosphere. Helpful staff. NO TEASPOONS FOR TEA?!? SODAS ARE $2.00ea and come in cans...WTF Overpriced gorgeous taqueria is all this is, and the sad part is that they dont even have tortas like a taqueria WOULD. They are just confused. Oh, no green sauce either...

NOT CLOSED - As enbtx pointed out, this location was closed for a while in 2009. I think that was due to a fire, but it has now been rebuilt and remodeled. Its a great place now, up to the standards youll see at every other Mi Cocina.

Its okay nothing special. Price is way to high for the quality of food. Atmosphere is good. With all the Mexican restaurants in Dallas you can get a much better deal elsewhere.

The staff, atmosphere, and service are good. Its not very vegetarian friendly, as most Tex Mex places arent. So, if youre looking for a vegetarian choices go somewhere else.

The best Mi Cocina in Dallas! The recipes are always perfect and their salsa is always the best balanced. Mi Cocina is THE quintessential Tex-Mex place in North Texas.

I had the Rico chicken salad chopped with their signature spicy blue cheese dressing and of course has to have a Mambo taxi. Something to remember, they cater as well.

strictly for the "parkies" afraid to leave their bubble. there is much better tex-mex all over town. usually crowded, loud, and with a long wait that is not worth it.
