Whats not to like about this place? It;s a pretty good location and although parking is sometimes hard, theres complimentary valet! Who doesnt like complimentary valet? (Not an excuse not to tip... (who does that?) but complimentary nonetheless) I got the grilled tilapia. It was good. The oyster nachos were good. Everything here was good! Ill be back. I heard they also own Fish City Grill which I have been meaning to try, but havent yet got the opportunity. I had the opportunity of eating here for lunch one day, and I was impressed. Not everyone can season a tilapia, and not everyone can pair french fries alongside mashed potatoes for fear of carb overload and still enjoy their meal guilt free. Not everyone however, is me, and my food was thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed to say the least!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this establishment. We shared the honey chipotle shrimp appetizer and a bowl of Gumbo to start off with. The shrimp was amazing, and my girlfriend lobed the gumbo but I thought it was just okay, it tasted a little too smoky for me. For our main dishes she ordered the fish tacos and I had a special, the chargrilled oysters with lemon pepper and parmesan cheese. The the oysters were phenomenal and the fish tacos were good too. Know that the tacos are a large portion! What really made this a 5 star experience though was our server, Sean, who checked in on us just the right amount and gave spot on recommendations for both food and drinks. Make sure to check out Half Shells, and DEFINITELY order the honey chipotle shrimp!

This was my first time eating here. I must say it is likely my last time eating here. It has a nice and quaint atmosphere. A friend and I ate here based off a recommendation from his friend. I was expecting a normal seafood restaurant, but was surprised it mainly had "Cajun" dishes. Being born and raised in Louisiana, I know good Cajun food when I taste it. I had the crawfish half and half while my friend had the char grilled mahi mahi. Both were bland. The essence of Cajun food is the seasoning. The amount of étouffée I received was a bit lacking in portion as well. The restaurant layout is odd. Basically you can not get to the bathroom without rubbing up against someone if the place is packed. No aisle space at all.

I wish that I could give this review in a better position. I visit the restaurant today for lunch and was carrying my firearm in a belt holster. I am a current CHL holder which allows me to open carry in the state of Texas. The manager approached me asked me if I was law enforcement I notified him I was not, and he asked me to leave the restaurant and they did not support Texas Legislative open carry laws in their organization. I went to the front door to see if there was it 30.07 sign or a 30.06 sign and there was neither. I went back in and redress the general manager Bo with my concern and asked if he would reconsider and he said no it was their position to make their customers comfortable not to follow laws.

Normally never have an issue with this place; not the greatest food, but it is good. Today... for some reason they were overwhelmed and busy. Over 40 minutes after placing our order, appetizer finally came out. When food finally arrived, we had to immediately ask for to-go boxes because we were already late getting back to work. I took one bite of the risotto on my plate as I packed my food up and nearly threw up - it was nothing more than rice mixed with tartar sauce - nothing close to risotto in any way. So, when I open my to-go box at my desk, and try to eat my fish, it is so overcooked that it is nearly leather-like. Not your finest performance today, Half Shells, not your finest.

Greetings, Me and a couple of co-workers went to Half Shells thinking that we were onto something. Well the Devil is a lie. Firstly I ordered cheese grits and was served grits with no cheese. Not only this , but everything on the plate was bland. Absolutely no seasoning . How can you claim to be a Cajun eatery but your food is bland. I am from New Orleans and this was just a disgrace to our culture. Then the waiter argued that everyone else seemed to like it. I did notice there was an older crowd. It reminded me of Lubys Cafeteria. Dont waste your money. We all returned everything.

I work right across the street there so I visit this place sometimes. The food is actually not bad and they have really really good oysters (and I am not an oyster fan). Unfortunately they hire some strange service personell. There is a fella server that walks around, sometimes comes up from behind you and does (mmmm....mmmm) thing right in your ear while youre eating. I found that really disturbing and my complaint seemed to go unnoticed. Another time when I was served by a different person he was still doing that to most customers.

I had fried calamari as appetizer , not that good as other places...thought of ordering some thing else, but seeing other customers leaving early after their dining experience I decided no to and heard couple customers near by commenting that the food is not good...Beer? Had blue moon 20 Oz, not good at all, not chilled and felt like drinking a warm canned soda .Over priced drinks and food....oh! Forget, just two television for the whole restaurant and you have to sit in the bar area if you want to watch the television .

This is my go to place for seafood. The food is simply awesome. My favorite dish, is the blacken tilapia and cheese grits! Its not on the menu, so I feel like a real insider when I order it. Its a special that they rotate on their changing chalkboard menu special on the right side wall of the restaurant as you walk in the door. This place is cozy and comfortable. The staff is attentive, nice, and personable, and the food comes out fast. This is the perfect place for a easy first date. They treat you like a friend.

This is the other name used by the group that also offers Fish City Grill, essentially the same restaurant just different names. Primarily a fish place where I usually recommend ordering off of the daily board just because they usually have some great plates available but I still have my favorite on-menu items all of which are consistently very good. Staff have always been friendly, helpful and fast (which makes them a good place for a quick business-day lunch).

Food is great. Service is decent. My problem: We were seated near the kitchen and for an hour straight we watched multiple servers and cooks eat with their hands, shoving food into their faces while preparing food/drinks in the kitchen. I brought up my concern to the manager, he did not seem overly concerned with the health code violation. This is not the standard that one typically experiences at The Shops of Legacy.

Definitely check it out. Happy hour drinks till 7. I always order the super-popular Serafins Fish Tacos and ask for half grilled fish tacos and half fried fish tacos. What a treat and the sauce it comes with is great. Also, we ordered the Honey Chipotle Shrimp for an appetizer and it was very tasty. The aroma of that dish was really nice too. Nice service and staff. Small waiting area, but large bar upon entry.
