Meh. The grilled fish was tough/ overdone with piles of watered down seasoning on it. The vegetables were just a soggy bland mess. I tried the rice which was bland and sort of dry and just left everything but the fish on the plate. I also tried a fried oyster to see how it was ( I LOVE fried oysters)... it was tough, chewy, with a burnt breading taste that made me glad I only tried one. My wife had a fried shrimp basket with a a crab cake and it was all bland. She left 3 of the five shrimp on the plate along with most of the fries and about a third of the crab cake. I had been looking forward to trying this place for a while and finally got the chance and now I see little reason to go back. However, the plates of raw oysters I saw some folks had there looking amazing so maybe thats the redeeming item? Coming from out east with real fresh seafood this place misses the mark HARD. Go to fish shack in Plano for twice the quality at the same price point. Rockfish and / or 54th St has better fish than this place, by a lot.

Aw Shucks is a staple in our family. We have been going since they opened on Greenville Ave. The food is always great and the service second to none! If you have never been You go in and order and they take your name and bring it out to you as you choose a seat. When you are done eating you can order more stuff if you dont head over to the register and let them know what you had. they dont keep track it is up to you! The system is great I always just keep notes. Still a great Place with so many locations to choose from its hard not go to them all the time!

I think this location is awesome. Everyone is friendly and the food is fantastic. I grew up going to the Awshucks on Greenville and that place is scary these days. To take that great concept and put it in a place with a great porch that faces North so there is never any glaring sun, a fantastic open area dining room, grilled oysters and a nice selection of beers on tap....you cant beat it. Try their happy hour from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Half priced oysters on the half shell and beer specials.

Horrible.. ordered crawfish and they gave me the wrong kind so they gave me a different batch & that batch was uncooked so I got another batch & that batch didnt have any seasoning it was very bland, I was better off bringing my own seasoning from home smh..then I asked for 4 pounds & they said they were just going to give us 2 pounds instead of four.

Bland. The chowder is thin and is a couple potatoes in buttery milk. At least I know it was made with real clams, as evidenced by all the sand in my mouth. Also, staff standing around on cell phone while Im surrounded by dirty tables not good for the ambience. Im giving it a 2 star, because I havent felt the affects of food poisoning...yet

Order the calamari! Great portion size for the price. We ordered several things on the menu thinking they would be small portions but man were we wrong. Great flavors, love the outdoor patio. The summer platter is well balanced and huge! The clam chowder however tasted like flour and bread would not order that again.

The grilled fish holds its original flavor without much seasoning, so some people may consider it bland but I guess it depends on what you like. I didnt try the oyster but the gumbo, shrimp cocktail and fish taco are pretty good. The seafood is fresh. The staff are super friendly.

This place is good will never compare to Big Shucks on Mockingbird the original. The staff is more season a Mockingbird this location lacks in that area. The staff is nice but you just dont get that the same feeling as the original location.

Great seafood with a unique billing concept. Everything I have have tried has been good from boiled to fried menu items. Just be sure to remember what you ordered when leaving as they dont keep track.

The catfish is the best. Lots of seafood options...hot, medium or mild. Do yourself a favor and try a margarita with your meal. Best in town!
