First visiting this place which is right across from RA Sushi in Shops of Legacy in Plano. We went in around 3 pm and the place wasnt too full. We were greeted and seated promptly. The decor is okay, its a restaurant and brewery. Our server was very helpful, explained the beers on tap and what the menu was. Told us a little about the place and let us know they have tours as well. Their menu options has some German inspired stuff but not many. Their beer selection is awesome and the ones they brew on site sounds great. I ordered the Hefewiezen and Golden Export which were great. The taste was crisp and aromas good and pair well with my plate. For a starter we ordered the garlic fries and southwest egg rolls and were very impressed. The fries were very crispy and the garlic was plentiful and the fries soaked in it. It was great but beware of the breath later. The egg rolls were nice, full of ingredients and fried just enough. Better than Cheesecake factory ones for sure. We ordered the Traditional Sausage Platter which was delicious and the GB Beer Mushroom Chicken. The food flavor was good but not great. The potato croquettes were a little burned and once you dig in there isnt much flavor. That is why you have two sauces to try and were nice but I am not a big sauce person, I prefer to taste the actual food. The chicken was actually schnitzel but the flavor was lacking. Once you try the sauce then you get a great taste but alone, nothing to write home about. The asparagus were surprisingly good, they were not under or over cooked. All-in-all a great place to visit and hangout with friends. Bring your buds over to have some great beer. The bar looked very nice when we walked in. Some food was lacking flavor but I guess it depends on the plate you choose. I think you wont be disappointed. Ohh, and they have growlers to take home. Grab one of those next time for sure.

The food was mediocre at best. The steak was dry, tough, fatty, and flavorless not to mention I ordered medium and received well done. We were told that they changed up their menu this week. I am guessing that since the reviews before mine have mostly been good, the change has not been good to the chef. Even the brownie sundae (which I didnt know you could possibly screw up) was only decent. As I told my wife, I would happily eat the dessert at home, but if I am going to pay $8 for it, I want a fresh, or at least hot, brownie and not one that has been sitting out for God knows how long. As far as the beer goes, the IPA (their seasonal currently) was pretty standard, nothing special or original about it. The hef was very bland, almost watered down. BJs has better food, better beer, better prices, and their pazookies (a baked cookie with ice cream) will make you believe in humanity again. Definitely not going back to Gordon Biersch.

Fantastic Service! Great Food! Delicious Beer! We went on Sunday 6/18 for Fathers Day and were treated like royalty. They were definitely packed and could have used more waitstaff for the holiday but they handled it like champs. Im not too sure what others are complaining about. Our food was phenomenal (calamari and egg rolls and gastro pub burger were delicious) and we even saw the table next to us get half their meal comped went there was an issue with their order. Maybe the other people just had a bad waiter or something but we had fantastic service. Those complaining must have never worked in the industry before. Our drinks were continuously refilled and our food was brought out within 25 minutes (I assume it would have been faster had they not been packed). I will definitely be back and will recommend!

I will never return to this establishment. Yall really should be ashamed of yourselves. I expected more from this brand especially for what we paid for our meals and beverages. Orders were taken and never delivered or if they did arrive it was an hour to THREE hours later. Drinks were disgusting and customer service horrific! When you have a large party coming in with a contract on file STAFF UP! The icing on the cake was the server telling me how terrible he felt that our service was so bad and that he was doing his best while reeking of a fresh smoked cigarette! Thats not doing your best. Customers before cigarette breaks! Common sense, people.

We came here for Sunday brunch. Gordon has a beautiful looking bloody mary bar but we ended up going for triple Belgium. We loved it so much we took advantage for their buy one get one and took a growler. Vanessa was our server was amazing and so sweet. When we come back we are going to ask for her. For food we went light with the beer sampler and grilled veggie salad. A word of caution, their garlic fries are stupidly good. We arent fans for mustard but they make all of their food fresh in house and it was delicious. Everything was very tasty and cleanly presented. Well mostly definitely be coming back.

Greeted by our server Pete very quickly. Pete was friendly and knew the answers to our questions. Service was great. Food came out timely, hot, and as we ordered it. I had the gb beer mushroom chicken and it was really good. Hubby had the sirloin with the garlic fries, I snagged a fry or two, those a crazy good. Dinner companions both enjoyed their dinners, cant recall what they ordered. Indulged in some creme brule for dessert. It was good, but Id probably order something else next time. Over all really great service, really good food, Id go back :)

Even though this is my favorite place to eat AND drink (the Märzen is my favorite) Im sad they took away the fire roasted chicken pasta. Recently they also took away the fried baja tacos. And just yesterday found out they dont have a brunch menu. Granted I understand a brunch menu probably never really catered to their demographic but it makes me sad they keep taking away all the food items I love so much! Never the less I will never stop going here. Their food and beer are worth the money. Cheers!

The beer was definitely good, nice and cold but I favor BJs brewery more in this department. The food, however, was outstanding. The garlic fries are simply addicting! Best fries Ive ever tasted and Im a fry snob! My husband ordered the farmhouse burger and couldnt put it down. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was amazing, the baguette was soft, steak cooked perfectly and very tender and garlic aioli delicious. Will definitely be a frequent guest!

I have been to Breweries all around the country and Gordon Biersch is my favorite. They make some of the best beer I have ever had. Absolutely love the Marzen and the Hefeweizen. The food is outstanding too, although a little pricey. Much better than the other Brewery Restaurants in the area that have descent beer and good food. But if you are wanting to go to a brewery for the beer you should go to this one, because the beer is off the charts

I love craft beer so I added a vacation stop here to try their happy hour beer and appetizers. I tried a flight of the GB samples. This gives you a chance to try 4oz samples of their featured beer. Baja Tacos, a Garlic fries and scallops were all good. I would say the only thing lacking was follow up from the server. It wasnt that busy, but the server was slightly aloof. I would go back again. Great location, beer and food.
