Three times in a row now we have ordered food to go from Fork & Spoon. The food was not prepared correctly and the service was poor the two times before. It is evident that only one or two staff are eager to assist while the rest appear to be clueless. This last chance of trying the Fork & Spoon was because one of the owners of the company I work for said the management promised improved service because they had gotten rid of the staff that were not productive and efficient before. Specific, typed instructions requested no mayonaise, no horseradish on two sandwiches and a caesar salad with grilled chicken. Luckily, I caught the salad mistake and turned my vehicle around and they fixed the mistake so they could add the chicken I was charged for to the salad. Unfortunately, one of the Tex - A - Philly Steak sandwiches mistake was not found out until my boss took a bite of his sandwich and about puked! Needless to say, my place of employment and the staff here will never again dine or order food from Fork & Spoon no matter how good some of the items on the menu may be. I recommend service etiquette training and kitchen efficiency training!!!!

It was my first time here but my family had been here before. I like the atmosphere, very welcoming and cozy for my taste. My wife said their French Toast is quite a hearty serving for one slice and so, I had to try it. I ordered the two slice FT which is not bad for $7.99. It came with pecan butter, I mean butter with real pecans not pecan flavored butter. Unfortunately, its only served as a single item not as a platter. So if you want other sides to go with it, you have to order it separately. Decent selection for desserts and breads as well. If i were to make a suggestion, offer this selection As a combo plate or platter with choice of sides. Not very sure of its authenticity for German food selection which most of the breakfast selection looks very American. I enjoyed my experience and would find myself back at this place I the near future. I would prefer this more than chain restaurants for breakfast.

It was ok. I would go back, but just not super impressed. Turkey sandwich with avocado needed to have more avocado. It was spread thin on one slice like you would do for mayo. Turkey was a super thick lunchmeat type slice of meat, good but on the dry side. French onion soup was great but served too early. I ordered a soup and sandwich combo and was given the soup at a time like you would an appetizer. Problem was no one else i was dining with ordered any thing similar so i was the only one with food. For me its weird and a little rude to eat in front of people so my soup sat there and got cold while we waited for the rest of our orders (all sandwiches) to arrive. Waitress was friendly and restaurant was clean, but the hosts needed to be updated on seating. She took us to a take in the back and then had to move us because they had already just closed that section to clean.

I hate to give a bad review as I myself have worked in several restaurants over the years, but the food was especially bad here. The service was ok, took awhile to get seated due to what I can only guess was not enough servers, because we waited at least 20 minutes for a table that was empty outside the entire time we were waiting. I ordered a grilled chicken, it was cold and the chicken tasted old and crunchy. The chicken was so bad I couldnt even force it down. The German noodles were soggy, greasy, cold and not seasoned. The green beans were good and the waitress was trying her best, this is what earned them a 2 star review. When we asked her how the mac and cheese was, her reply was, Its ok. Overall, an extremely disappointing lunch, I will not go back and definitely wouldnt recommend.

Best Place to go for BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE if not a New Braunfels Resident and known to Servers !!!!! My Daughter and I were seated , given a Menu and Utensils. Then we became obviously invisible to the 4 Waitresses and 2 Males , that ran that Place today at 11am . We sat at our Table observing a group of elderly Ladies come in, being greeted , Orders taken, then another Lady get seated right behind us , greeted by a blonde Waitress , which served her some Water and took her Order...all while we still have not even got some Water served nor asked for our Order. After 10 Minutes of this exceptional BAD Service and asking to speak to a Manager , where none was available at this Time my Daughter and I left to enjoy much better, friendlier Service down the Road at Jasons Deli

Food was very good. I had ordered the "Full" size French Toast, which was large pieces of slices of French Toast. The French Toast had come with a honey pecan butter, which very sweet. But the problem was that there was way to much of it, making it more filling then it needed to be. It still tasted good, but maybe less pecan butter, or no butter at all. With my French toast, I got a side of sausage, which sadly didnt come with my breakfast entree. The environment was nice, the service was nice, and overall it was impressive. It was a little bit on the expensive side but was worth the price.

The hostess was extremely rude when I asked to be sit outside. She made is wait for a table to be cleaned inside. I was very confused since the outside tables were all open but waited. When our name was called she rudely told us we were sitting inside at the one she told us about. I told her I wanted to sit outside. A boy sat us and when I said the hostess was rude to us he said she always is... Then we waited for 10 mins outside and all the servers walked passed us. We ended up leaving. We came from Wisconsin and heard about Texas hospitality. Not very impressed with Texas so far.

Last trip will be my last time. I have only been a few times, all in the last year, and the food quality has just simply gone downhill. I ordered the ham and asparagus omelet, and it had virtually no asparagus and only slightly more ham. Very disappointing given that my first order of this omelette was LOADED with ham and crisp, fresh asparagus. The waits are long and the service slow (yes, friendly, but still way too slow). I wish I could be more positive, because I really want to like this place, but it almost feels like they have had new, bad management take over.

This is a great spot for breakfast any day of the week. Id like to order the Omas plate which is eggs potatoes and crepes. The bakery is awesome. If you have a chance to eat, any of the cheesecakes are delicious. Its right off the highway if you are just passing through town. Not too crowded on the weekdays, but appears to be busy on the weekends. The waitstaff give service commiserate to your aggressiveness, so I find as more of a low-key patron that I am lower priority. Understandable, but if you have time constraints, be clear about and they will adjust.
