+2 stars because I LOVE HEB! -3 stars because this particular store is one of the worst grocery stores Ive been in. The location right off downtown is really convenient, but its so small. The aisles are a nightmare to navigate, especially when theyre stocking or busy. They have a very limited selection of items and I consistently have to make trips to the bigger store to get what I couldnt find at this location.

First off, I come to this H-E-B often. Because it is the smaller of the two in town, they usually only stock the most popular items. This has never been a problem. I am writing this review because today was exceptionally crowded. Because of this, the floor manager actually came up to the front of the store and started assisting with bagging. I believe his name was Dayl.

We were in town for an overnight trip and stopped here for a few beers and cake. It was smaller than the HEB back home but it still has the same selection. We were able to get in and out quickly even though it was pretty packed that night. We got their cake slice in a cup and it was so good! Great location to get in and out quickly.

This store is located in a busy and walkable neighborhood near the Texas State University campus and downtown San Marcos. Its a nice amenity to have a full-service grocery store in the heart of town. Far easier to walk to than the location near the football stadium. Pro: convenient, clean Con: store is fairly small, always busy

Ran in here to grab a few quick things. This is definitely the grocery store you would go to because its your only option, not because its nice and has a large selection. Small with the bare minimum for a grocery store. Had that "I dont want to touch anything" feel to it.

The little H-E-B is a warm, safe environment. The selection is impressive for the size, but the atmosphere and convenient location make this my go-to grocery store. It can become crowded at times, but they can be easily navigated with a smile and an open heart

Definitely a college town store. Its small and the aisles are tight, but when it comes to convenience this location is hard to beat. If you want a huge selection of fresh produce then keep on driving, but if you need fast and local then come on down.

I love HEB customer service, products, and prices. The only reason that this particular store gets 4 stars is because the aisles are so narrow and its difficult to manuever around other people.

The meats are cut in store and you can get custom cuts requested if you want, its always well stocked and fresh produce. And if you need help their employees are very helpful.

Unless you know exactly what you need and where it is, go to the other HEB in town. I probably walked around the store 4 times before finding everything I needed.
