Warning: this is going to be a long review. While the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is friendly, the food is not worth the high price. I guess the reasoning for charging customers so much is it IS a nice restaurant, relatively clean, with good service and a variety of food. I appreciate all of these things but they are basically what one expects at any restaurant. My total was around $26 for two sweet teas and buffets at around 4:30 pm on Friday. They make you pay before they seat you. I am not a picky eater by any means but I usually stick to the same dishes at any chinese buffet. And nearly every buffet has them so I assume most people do as well. The food was mediocre at best and some of it remained untouched the whole time I was there. I even sampled other things but they left me unsatisfied as well. There are also signs posted asking not to waste food. I can understand that but Im not going to force myself to eat food that doesnt taste good. The other person in my party didnt like anything they tried (again, dishes that are standard and of similar flavor at any buffet). We ended up not eating about a plate full of food each. I AM a stickler for cleanliness. As they kept the buffet and eating areas acceptably clean, the restrooms could have used some attention from the numerous servers that did a lot of standing around. The stall doors were covered with residue from peoples hands and the tiny trash bins (for feminine product disposal) were filthy. Toilet paper all over the floor. Hand dryers only. No paper towels (which I use to open doors because there are a lot of people that dont wash their hands after relieving themselves) nor a trash can to dispose of them in. The one under the changing table might have held two dirty diapers. If the thought was to keep them small to reduce and remove waste more often, they failed. Needless to say, I do not recommend eating here.

We frequent this resteraunt often and the food is always good! Its always pretty good quality with a good selection. Love the buffet, also love the man thats usually at the front seating when you come in. Hes so friendly and just overall pleasant. BUT the two female servers today (9/15 around 3:30pm) are VERY RUDE. VERY unpleasant. We are always very nice and thankful, but for some reason these two women specifically were very rude for the entirety of our visit despite our politeness. Constantly giving my boyfriend rude looks, became irritated? when he asked them for some napkins at one point, and continued to stare at him even as we were leaving. It was a very uncomfortable experience overall because we werent sure what we had done wrong, and we may not be coming back as a result.

I took my daughter there this evening & we arrived around 5pm on a Friday night. There was hardly any sushi there & it kinda looked like a tornado had went through there. It didnt look real clean but we decided to give them a break & try the food anyway- you pay BEFORE you eat so we felt kinda stuck. The food tasted old like left over from lunch- hardly any clean plates or little dishes to put sauce in. I am really regretting it now cause I have been sick at my stomach for 2 hrs now & my daughter is feeling very ill now. We spent nearly 25.00 in there for this crud! The last time we went it was pretty bad at lunch & I swore I would nor go back but I PROMISE I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!! Really people you are a disgrace to the food industry!!! #thanksformakingussickjackass

Overall not a great experience. First off we had to pay first before the hostess would even speak with us. After paying the hostess, even though she was standing 2 feet from us, asked for the receipt and inspected it before going further. It felt like a slap in the face. When we were finally seated, the server once again requested our receipt to make sure we paid for our drinks. It was rather insulting. Some of the food items were okay. The "sushi" rolls had meats of 3 types. Shredded buffalo style chicken, ham and shredded imitation crab. had to dig through plates to get a clean one. The place did not feel clean. I know that this is "just" a Chinese buffet but the basics of running a restaurant are missing here.

Paying in advance, food left on buffet WAY TOO LONG!! Especially if its late lunch/early dinner!!! Tables left dirty with food on chairs and floor! Their fruit selection would be good if they wouldnt spray it with "freshener" to keep the color natural (?) or whatever!!! It makes cantaloupe, watermelon, apples & any other fruit taste like SH☆T!!! They should check the bananas better and cut out the black/bruised spots prior to mixing them with strawberry gel! I dont know of anyone who enjoys eating limp, warm, browning lettuce with most of the white core cut up in it. A salad is cool if not cold with fresh lettuce, fresh tomatoes, onion and crisp but not rock hard croutons.

I have just got in contact with the health department over China king in Longview and that is far from where I stop. Travis, Wesley (our 2 yr old), travis brother, and I ate there tonight and their tamales CLEARLY had mold on them. When it was brought to their attention, they said it wasnt mold and wouldnt take it off of their trays. As we were leaving Travis brother clearly heard them say it was mold and they knew it but also wouldnt refund our money. Im going to the hospital soon because I feel sick, and am 21 weeks pregnant! Which I also stated. Im not sure what other actions can be done but I know I will not be stopping here.

Like any place, China King has its ups and downs. It has a very large selection compared to most Chinese buffets, including the typical American Chinese dishes as well as traditional American food such as Mac n cheese. However, of the numerous Chinese buffets Ive been to, China King was very average when it came to the food quality(Didnt try any of the American food). The service was alright for a Friday night; drink refills were a bit slow. Overall, very average, but I could see the advantages of bringing small children for the American food who typically would shy away from the Chinese food.

Im from out of town and this was the first place we came to eat with my wifes family. Im personally vegan and I can not consume meat or anything from animal produce. They had the rice noodles on the bar which are my favorite but the only problem was that they had egg mixed around them. I asked the manager if there was a way I can get them without egg and more vegetables, she quickly went in the kitchen and the chef made the noodles at my request he also offered to remake anything I liked. I definitely enjoyed my meal that day and loved the fact they were very understanding. Thank you.

Decent prices and selection but doesnt have ice cream. Facility is clean and tidy inside and out, but this place often has to be redone from being flooded due to its location. I have never smelled mold or anything like that from being missed in the remodels. Open on most holidays and the food has always been decent, so was the service. Staff smiles and is quick to get your drinks. Also dont forget to crack your cookie after your meal...
