I have been living here for 3 years. Not only are the staff all wounderful but this buffet is superior to all chinese buffets in Longview. Its simply the best, no other Chinese buffet has food as delicious. Best flavor and I love how they have spicy food ;) man Im getting hungry just thinking about it. The only time I dont go here is when my husband feels like eating clams like if they were oysters lol we go to China king but I dont like it :( if you do go I challenge you to serve your self some vanilla ice cream on 3/4 of a soup boul and the vanilla looking pooding (not rice pudding) on the rest and top it of with an apple pie slice in the middle. Eat with spoon and enjoy ;)

I was spoiled as a child when it came to Chinese food. There was a magnificent restaurant in Houston that I would rather travel all the way from Dallas than to consume anything they had there. I was excited about Longview because it was CLOSER to my adored Chinese Food restaurant and was so surprised to find something that was close enough to compete. The egg rolls are big and crisp. The fried rice is actually that - not just some brown rice with peas and carrots thrown in. The selection is amazing and everything I have tried has been spot on. The staff is wonderful as well. We have been back several times and will continue to go.

I have never rated a place before, but New Hupei is a great Chinese buffet. Good and friendly service as well as a cleanly restaurant. All the food is hot and fresh, and if you like Mongolian grill and other Chinese favorites like general tsos chicken, sesame seed chicken, orange chicken, Beijing beef, etc. This place is for you. Also, as a frame of reference, if you like Panda Express then you will really enjoy the food here and the price. For children, they had pizza, pigs in a blanket, and an ice cream machine for dessert afterwards.

Standard Americanized Chinese here left me feeling very heavy on departure. However, if youre generally a fan of Chinese buffets, this is far from terrible. The food was more than palatable but my family had to pick through the bowls and plates to find the clean ones on multiple trips. To their credit, my husband said the mens bathroom was clean when he went wash his hands and the ladies room was reasonably clean as well.

So Me and my spouse went to eat there. (Not our first time.) I was getting the sour chicken continued to get other items and sat down upon eating I realized the sour chicken and fried shrimp were put in the wrong place. My server a young man with a ponytsil came over and I explained my spouse is highly allergic to seafood and all it would of took was touching it. He laughed and said its ok. Hunans all day everyday.

We had lunch here today and wow. The food was great. Tender steak in the peppersteak, everything tasted fresh and was very well prepared. :-) Then theres the prices. We are 6 people, 2 kids, 4 adults and our price was $43 out the door, $50 with tip. Thats it. :-) Thats awesome for a Sunday afternoon. :-) We will definitely be back. :-)

Very good Chinese buffett. They have all the standards including sushi and they seem to have a better than average handle on flavor. I would have given it 5 stars but the fried stiff wasnt crispy (general tso, orange chicken etc.) and the used cream cheese in almost every sushi roll. Best Chinese buffet Ive have found in east Texas.

I think that it was mediocre at best. The restrooms need serious cleaning. The food was not very good and the plates needed to be washed better. there is not a big selection of chinese food either. Carpets are filthy too. Nice staff though. Will not be returning.

Tonight was a terrible experience for to-go orders. Not only did they refuse to answer the phone for orders they messed up my order twice!!! I finally got a refund and left. Its a shame that when the owner was out tonight the place was unable to run efficiently.

New Hupei is the BEST chinese restaurant in longview. The food is always hot and fresh and the prices are great too! Im a regular, so the i pretty much know the people that work there. and theyre always so kind and the waitresses are sweet as can be.

Best Chinese buffet (in Longview). Very tasty, fresh food. Friendly attentive staff. Ive been coming here since they moved back in. Took away the 5th star because its getting pretty run-down, interior is very dated.

This was Chens China Garden (AKA Chens Garden), they moved to a new location and changed the name. Great Szechuan cuisine buffet. Wait staff are incredible and the owners work the place 24x7. Highly recommended.

As soon as we walked in it smelled like the toilets backed up. I wasnt impressed with the food either. The sesame chicken didnt even have sesames in it. The staff was friendly though.
