Ate there today an order sush . I heard the sushi chef asking the owner if they had anymore as I jus sit there @ the sushi bar paying attention to the TV but really hearing the . Any way, I ordered salmon, which when delivered was NOT what I ordered but smoked salmon (which is good as well), so I asked if I had ordered that (knowing I didnt) an the owner came to me an said it salmon an not smoked. Which I knew she was lying cause I know my Sushi!! This was not kool, but I just sat back an told myself that this restaurant was not gonna be out my out to eat list anymore . All she had to do was tell the truth an I would have understood an ordered something else. Guys, if your looking for a good restaurant DONT GO HERE where they will somewhat call you a liar. Money not well spent!!!!!!!

Growing up just north of NY city it has been a challenge to find a place that stimulates ones pallet in the way that this fine restaurant does! The food is exquisite, and the price worth every penny! In fact I have paid more for much less in Dallas, not to mention NY. I was delighted that the food was prepared from scratch, rather than being some conglomeration of frozen meat out of a box labeled Sysco. Having worked in fine restaurants that catered to the upper echelon, I understand the mindset that cuisine as fine as this demands. GZ delivers every step of the way, from the mixed drinks to the desserts. speaking of drinks...the BEST Cozmo I have had since leaving NY. A fine restaurant, with a delightful staff, and wonderful food!...5 Stars!

I am from Atlanta, GA and after moving to Marshall, TX I found it very difficult to find good Chinese. I was excited when I walked into GZ Asian Bistro because the decor and atmosphere looked promising. Unfortunately, the prices were not reasonable. The prices were double, even triple what one would find in any other Chinese/Sushi restaurant. I ordered the fried asparagus and the Lo Mein Combination. The asparagus was exceptional, but the Lo Mein was average. It was not hot and the meat had and interesting taste. The Lo Mein noodles were the best part of the dish and that is not saying much. The hot tea was good but not hot. The service was very good but, the over all experience was disappointing.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My fiancée and I were stoked to try this place because of all the rave reviews, but stay far far away! They supposedly have a new sushi chef according to our waitress. Everything had way too much rice and very little in the centers. The menu is misleading in its description of multiple rolls. Weve been hitting all the sushi places in Longview trying to find our "favorite", and this one gets a huge X. Never will give these guys a second look again.

Been eating here for special occasions for at least 6 years. Never disappointed! Absolutely love it! I always order Chicken Pad Thai extra spicy and a Poseidon Roll. Also the steaks are so tender and flavorful. When my dad comes all the way from Washington state to visit he always asks when we are going to eat at GZs! Staff is friendly. I admit the wait is sometimes long but the food is always fresh and worth it. You cant get such quality from quick prepared food. I recommend GZs to everyone!

The sushi and rolls are my favorite, particularly the Texas Roll. Ive never found it anywhere else I liked better. The Walnut Shrimp is a fantastic dish, as is the Hunan Shrimp and Mongolian Beef. The rice bowls and Bento Boxes at lunch are very good. Dishes coming out of the kitchen are sometimes inconsistent, I would avoid the steaks as I have had more than one negative experience with them.

My family and I went in for lunch, the food was terrible, I have gotten better from the frezer section at wal-mart. 10.00 for the drinks and all we had were sodas. The noodles were slimy and had a funny taste to them, the soup was I am sure packaged miso. This is a place to go only if you like to eat substandard food, and get charged thru the nose. All of us were sick after eating there.

This place is way over priced. My husband and I came in around lunch today. Got seated and waited forever just to get are order taken. There were only 3 other table and only 1 person for all the tables. When we finally got our food the meat was hot but rice and noodle were cold. we were done and waited for our check of at less 10 min. Will never return becaus of the very poor serves

I can not say anything good about this restaurant. I tried to keep an open mind and would love for this place to be successful but the service is very slow, very expensive, the food is not good and when my party kindly complained the owner and a young lady at the front were very rude! Sorry but I suggest cooking a nice meal at home.

The best sushi rolls ANYWHERE EVER! The Texas roll is soooooooo yummy! We got the honey glazed salmon and it looked like it belonged in a magazine. It was almost too pretty to eat. The service is excellent every time and I never mind dishing out a little extra cash for the whole experience. WORTH IT EVERY TIME!

Great tasting sushi with good presentation. Especially liked the rice Krispy gz roll and salmon sashimi. Our waiter, Ben, was quick and knowledgeable about both the drink and sushi menu. Will definitely recommend this place to friends.

Down to earth people and great food. I prefer GZ over the other Asian restaurants in Longview. The price is fair considering the location. Definitely Recommend it.

I was impressed by the selection of sashimi, but shocked by the high price, I tried some new kinds of fish and paid dearly. Portion size was good. Good tea, too.
