Funny about the salty review - when we visited they must have ran out of that and every other seasoning in the house. We were so let down. Being from Louisiana we were expecting a taste of home but there was no taste at all. We ordered the gumbo and the fried fish. The gumbo might has well have been water. The fish had no flavor. It was fried perfectly, just no salt, no seasoning whatsoever. We had to doctor the food up with the salt and pepper at the table just to make it edible. Maybe it was a one-time thing but we will not be going back. Try Razoos instead.

I am always on the look out for those hole in the wall jems, but this one was merely ok. We ordered 5 different dishes and all shared. The chicken fried steak was bland, the gumbo was also bland. It wasnt just missing heat, it was missing that essential flavoring combo that makes gumbo unique. The shrimp and catfish were really good with a strong hint of lemon/lime that made it special especially in the shrimp po boy. The portions were big, the atmosphere was good. All in all an average/okay experience. Will probably go again because its close.

We have been going here for a little over a year now and have NEVER had a complaint. I usually get my favorite every time, the chicken club po-boy sandwich. Hands down the best sandwich I have ever had. My fiance gets the catfish sandwich, which is equally delicious. I also recommend the chicken fried chicken with their fresh veggies. We are regulars here and have always been impressed with the owners and staff, they make you feel at home. We usually get slipped a free dessert every now and then. :)

Good basic Louisiana home cooking. True Louisiana food is not highly spiced like the TV Cajun chefs make everyone believe. This is a nice little mom and pop place with good food and extremely friendly service. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The owners and the regular customers will chat with you while you eat if you give them half a chance. A wonderful personal touch. As a bonus the food is good too. Its the only place in this area that serves genuine muffalettas.

Just went here for dinner 11/15/16,my friend and I hadnt had catfish in years so we tried the catfish platter. It was fantastic the breading was light and perfect and the catfish was moist and delicious, also some killer fries.I also got a piece of strawberry cake that Im eating as I type this, what a delicious piece of cake. Super friendly people working there and a cool restaurant. Dont hesitate to try this place!

Waters Edge Cafe keeps my friends and I coming in for breakfast continuously due to their excellent food and being awesome hosts. If you are in the Frisco/Little Elm area, I definitely recommend checking them out; you will NOT be disappointed. These guys are doing it right so I like to brag about the good local businesses. Small hometown cafe serving absolutely stunning food! I had the grilled salmon, veggies, and rice. The salmon was seared perfectly with a crisp skin and beautiful pink center, the grilled veggies were flavorful and still had a good bite to them, rice was seasoned with herbs and was a good compliment to the fish. Looking forward to my next meal here!

Terrible place. I walked in asked a question about the menu and the cashier walks in the kitchen.They then are whispering and pointing at me.You can believe i walked out of that place in a hurry.I really liked the big easy in Plano.I hoped this place would be great.But no such luck.

First timer here, I had the catfish Ponchatrain, wasnt sure what it would taste like, I was pleasantly surprised, large portion, freshly cooked and the taste was AWESOME, I will be back to try something new more than once. Great customer service, sweet family.

I just walked in & asked if they could fix me a bacon, egg, & cheese biscuit "to go". Its not on the menu. They cheerfully said yes. It was ready in 5 minutes & was amazing!
