I am originally from India and have been living and traveling in US for past 4 years. I rarely eat Indian food outside because most of the time everything has a restaurant feel. I visited the Indian Cafe while on a project in Irving. This place is probably the closest thing I have found to a home cooked Indian meal. I ordered a dinner combo of Daal Tadka, Palak Paneer, Chicken Curry, 1/2 Naan and Rice for $10 and everything was so good that even if the portion were a little bigger for me... I couldnt resist and finished everything. I would highly recommend this place if you would like to try some authentic, fresh and clean Indian cooking. Also the owners seemed to be a loving couple... which adds to the feel good home feeling :))

Im quite the conisseur when it comes to eating a variety of different foods, at different restaurants. Ive eaten at several Indian restaurants. Never was I more impressed with the food, then at Indian Cafe. Im very open-minded in terms of trying new types of food however, until now...Ive never been able to say that I truly like Indian Food! Not to mention, the service was phenomenal. Yes, the decor is casual however, nothing beats this Indian Food anywhere! Thank you Indian Cafe for giving me the most wonderful experience, and providing me with a buffet full of pleasant surprises to my pallette. Not too spicy, not too mild-just perfect!!!! Highly recommend this place! Youll see what I mean after you go and try it!

I was in the mood for Indian one night and dragged my family from Westlake to Irving. I walked in to an empty dingy looking restaurant. Ugh oh. I thought to my self. We were greeted by the owner and sat down with our children and ordered our food at the counter. We paid around $40 for the four of us! I always love a bargain; and then our food came! I was in savory heaven!!! The last time that I had such phenomenal Indian food, it was cooked by my buddy Haris grandmother who cant speak any English. I cant wait to go back. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant. It is the perfect example of not to judge a book by the cover! Five stars!!

I walked in for a quick lunch and I went O---ooo. I made a mistake. This place is run too efficiently for their own good. I should have gone to another place instead of this one. The service seems to be good..but you cant make up for bad food with good service. It goes hand in hand. The lunch buffet had limited choices and it was slim pickings. My advice to potential customers...go somewhere else. My advice to the owner....please invest in better equipment and decor for your restaurant. You have a good location...its not there yet.

I wish, i could give it a zero star rating. This place is pathetic. I dont think so the food is what they claim to be. The Biryani is awful an watery. Chicken legs were smelling so bad. Me and my coworker just left every thing in the plates and left we wasted around 22$ and went to another place to have lunch. This place is very nasty. Husband and wife operated with no servers and cleanliness. Cutlery water glasses and dine in tables were dirty. I will NEVER go there and recommend every one not to be a victim of their nasty food.

I frequent this establishment regularly, and I have had the buffet and ordered off the menu. The buffet is really good and provides me with the opportunity to try items that I would be too afraid to order on my own. My favorite meal to order off the menu is the Paneer Tika Masala and it is wonderful! Also, the customer service is really good..from the Parents on down to the kids. I have always had a really good experience at the Indian Cafe.

This was a true disappointment. I was hoping for something fresh, tasty. I ordered an orange chicken. I was at the store when I placed my order to go, drove from the restaurant to the airport, and ate it while waiting at the airport. In case youre wondering this is a six or seven minute drive – the food tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour and a half. Weak sauce, bt.

Disappointing overpriced food. Two man bare bones operation but prices not commensurately low. Paid $7.50 for vegetable jal firazi, which was described on menu as veggies with nuts and raisins in cream sauce. Not a single nut or raisin in dish, which was way too spicy. Skip this restaurant; there are plenty of other better Indian restaurant values in Irving, TX

I just finished eating lunch here and so happy that I tried this place. It is very hard to find a decent place to eat these days especially since I try to avoid processed foods. I went with the buffet and everything was delicious and tasted homecooked. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Another usual spot for me when I need a quick meal. For 9 dollars you couldnt get a better Indian buffet, because they all cost about 15 dollars. Food is always tasty and the owner is very nice. Its not a huge selection, but for what is there they do a great job.

This place is a mom and pop shop. Man is it good. I had the chicken 65, normal spice. It was some of the best chicken Ive ever had in my life. Every bite popped with flavor. I live in California and was just visiting. But with every visit, Ill be coming here.

In our 30+ years in DFW, we have not seen a lazy-ass, stingy and money-squeezing management as this one. Ignorant business customers and truck drivers still visit, knowing no better. Their food is good but their stingy attitude makes the place a no-no

I eat here almost every week. The butter chicken, rice, and naan are always tasty and very high quality. Abdul, the owner, is very friendly and passionate about his work. It is a small, casual operation but you simply cant beat the quality and price.

A very simple place with affordable food. The lunch buffet is some, fresh and hot. What makes this place the best is the owner, he is very nice and goes out of the way to make you feel welcome. Choose this place for takeout or a good lunch.
