Well, Im DONE. Ive given Cotton Patch three chances over the last six months to prove they can provide a decent "take-out" order, and Ive been sorely disappointed. Months ago, I drove across town to pickup a "Colonel salad", which, as it turns out, was a salad sitting on a bowl of murky water. I complained directly to the manager that time, and kindly, she gave me a gift certificate. The second trip -- not much better, but slightly improved. TODAY, I call in an order for a catfish basket and, separately, a loaded baked potato... I walk in to find three "servers" clustered around the cash register. Not busy, eh? I ask for my order (again, having driven across town to do so), and neglected to check it before leaving. Well, I had to bring it back in to REQUEST condiments, tartar sauce, butter (for the potato, etc.), eating utensils, napkins... REALLY???? The three "servers" had reconvened at the cash registered but werent capable of putting their six hands together to put together a decent take-out order??? I dont care WHAT your job is, be the BEST there is!! If I did MY job this poorly, Id be out the door. The catfish basket was dry and the fries were greasy. Im done. This Cotton Patch was pretty good when I first moved to Cedar Hill 5-1/2 years ago; I wont waste my money here again.

Poor service.. Waited 10 min before server arrived.. Slow to get order out and store was not busy. Server disappeared for 20 during meal service and finally came back after watching her PU dirty floor rubber rug in prep area. Asked for check and she never washed her hands before providing check. Food was overall tasteless.. Onion rings spicy but tasteless Steak was dry and overcooked. Turkey was tastless and dry. Chicken and dumplings very salty. This is the worst meal we have every had there. We eat there frequently. Guess it time to pick another place to eat. Meanwhile the chicken and dumplings upset my stomach within one hour... Never happened before. Now Im sure Im not ordering that again.. Moral.. Do go there late to eat.. You get whatever you get ...uck

I would like you to know that I a though with Cotton Patch here in Cedar Hill, TX. They have provided the most consistently poor customer service I have ever encountered. Today after calling in my order 20 minutes ahead of time I waited 15 minutes to get my order. This was not because there was a long wait ahead of me. There was actually only one person ahead of me and the restaurant was only about three quarters full. As I walked in no one acknowledged my presence or greeted me. I arrived home with my take out order to find that it was wrong. I had ordered and been charged for the 8 piece Cajun Duo. When I called the person answering phone attempted to minimize the mistake offering very little in the way of customer service.

I visited Dallas with my sisters family last week, and on any trip I try to find local cuisine to enjoy and avoid the chains. We were not disappointed in the Cotton Patch! Im vegetarian, and I was pleased to see that they had a good variety of options for me (from salads with no meat to the "Vegetarian Dish" which was a selection of any 5 sides). The wait staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and helped me to avoid sides with bacon in it (Hey, this is the south!). My sister and her family enjoyed a good selection of food from the pot roast, a burger, and chicken fried steak, and no one left the table unhappy! My only regret was not saving room for the Dr. Pepper Cake! With any luck Ill be able to have it next time!

I had a terrible experience here at this restaurant the server that I had taking care of us named Raquel was very rude she wouldnt refill my drinks she had Nails on working in the food industry which is super unprofessional. She brought me back some hard rolls and didnt want to bring me fresh ones she said I had to pay extra. She also would walk by my table and ignore me when I try to get her attention so I give this a one star because the food was good but the service is terrible Raquel needs to do better with the hygiene, and attitude. Fake nails are not supposed to be worn around the food industry, hair should be up as well. She wasnt the only one i seen with nails on.

There was a Bug on the table..I spoke about it and Heck I dont know what kind of bug it was.. The manager came over, made me feel very uncomfortable like I wanted to get something free.. Reassuring me that they take care not to have bugs...wellllllll.... There was A BIUG ON THE TABLE..I had eaten my food already..heck.. Now what.. Made me not want to deal with an arrogant manager anymore... Good grief.. Also the food was cooked over done.. Fish, hush puppies were very dark and dry...I dont understand because it was only about 5 tables to be served... MUST BE UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT.. COME BACK OLD MANAGEMENT.. CAUSE I WONT BE BACK.. GOOD GRIEF!!!

Ate there tonight with my family. Everything was great until my husband received his meatloaf meal. The meatloaf was still completely red in the middle and the meat was mushy. The waitress took it the manager and they put in the microwave to nuke it. When she came back she said the redness is now from the sauce so it was done. At this point my husband was done and refused to eat anymore. The meat was still red but the texture in the meat hadnt changed. My husband didnt want to get food poisoning. They didnt compensate anything on our bill and apologize for anything. I would not recommend eating here very disappointed.

Very disappointed with the service received! My husband and I went in on a Monday during lunch time (not busy at all). The server asked if we wanted a booth or table. Once we said "booth", she proceeded to take us to the back behind a wall to seat us. We expressed our dislike for the seating location and she became irritated and told us to sit where ever we wanted. As we walked towards a different booth, she tosses the menus and eating utensils and said, "This is fine."At that point, we decided not to patronize this establishment! So much for their reputation of being a family friendly environment!.

Its fine, just like your other area Cotton Patches, they serve southern comfort food. The only major problem with this one is it is built into a strip mall, not a stand alone building. For that reason, it is fairly small, but for how small it is its so freakin loud! OMG, they actually have metal ceilings there and it reflects even the lightest of conversations into almost screming level decibels. Service is good and food was just fine, it was just too loud... So, if they took down the metal or added some sound dampening panels on the walls, it would help it out, immensely.

The chicken Fried stake is full of grisal. I dont know why but every time I will try again hoping it will improve but its the same. I wish they would go back to the tabletops they had before. These are silver and cold not a warm feeling. I wish they would reduce the amount of food so they could charge less. Most of the time if my wife and I come for lunch will split a dinner to save on the cost. Deserts are non-factor due to the cost of the meal. I give Cotton Patch 2 stars because we dont come as often.
