Lets talk about my new favorite cantonese (chinese) restaurant in DFW. This gem is outstanding. I discover many holes in the wall on my travels but here in Arlington of 20 and collins is this monument to Chinese cuisine. Now if you know arkansas and collins you know youre in little saigon. Lots of Vietnamese stores and people so get ready for a culture change. Walkin and see bbq roasted duck, beef pork, cuddle fish hanging on hooks you can buy cash only. They have a small series of booths and a handful of tables. Pick a drink and goto town on their GIANT menu. Go with friends, go family style. Get a dish like bbq pork and steames rice. Get a veggies like veggies and fishballs its cabbage to them (baby bok choy) to us. And then try a wild card or a favorite like sweet n sour pork, orange chicken. They are known for their duck so maybe get a duck. And dig in I cant brag about this place enough. Get past the language barrier and eat well today. Ill post entire menu next im there.

First Chinese is our go-to place for take-out or sit-down Chinese in DFW. I always like to try something different and have yet to be disappointed. Their orange chicken is crisp and juicy, with a mildly spicy sauce of caramelized orange that is as thick and sweet as honey. It is probably my top pick. Another of our favorites is fried noodle with pork. The noodles are consistently tender and flavorful with savory spices (safe for people tired of peppers) and pork cut thin and cooked just right. Be aware that this is a traditional family restaurant, so there are things on the menu that most Americans are not used to. Read the descriptions and ask what is in it is you are not sure. To most Texans the staff will seem stand-offish or even rude, but it is just a cultural thing. Be nice, treat them with respect, and they will return it several times over. There are several locations, each with its own personality. If you prefer more outgoing staff, go to the Ft. Worth location.

Im Chinese and this is Chinese food! This is basically what youll find in a really good Chinatown. As for the people complaining about service, this isnt a 5 star restaurant. They are here to make good food and give it to you. Service is optional. They look and act rude but theyre not unless yourre rude to them. Look at it like this: walk in, get your food, when your done, tip if you think the food is good, then walk out. Favorite Menus Items: -Roast duck (literally ate this for a week straight) -Hot and sour soup (add red vinegar) -Clams w/ black bean sauce -Kung pao chicken -Chinese broccoli w/ oyster sauce Only complaint: CASH ONLY! That duck is a must for first time visitors...

If you have never been to a Chinese BBQ, then you need to go. Most Chinese places are the equivalent of Taco Bell, or if theyre pretty good, maybe Bueno. This is the real deal. They dont really Americanize their food, and you can get dishes you might have never heard of before. (I recently tried their Bitter Melon with chicken. I hated it. It was exactly what the Chinese people grew up with though... the melon was REALLY bitter. That was my fault, because I figured that it wouldnt be quite as bitter as it was. But one of my friends later laughed at me and told me they did it exactly right.) Their meats are greatness. Seriously. I dont really care for duck, but I like theirs.

The place only accepts cash. The bathroom was dirty. The seating was confusing. No one seated me. I had to find my own seat. One of the waitress, maybe owner was serving and eating at the area. Staff is unprofessional. The menu had too many items and its very confusing. I ordered wanton soup and BBQ duck with white rice. The order came in 10 mins. The wanton soup broth was bland. It had no vegetables other than some scallions. The wanton was also bland. The duck was juicy but cold. Nothing spectacular. I have had better wanton soup and duck from other Chinese restaurants. My fortune cookie from the restaurant told me to be frugal. I will when it comes to place

Its authentic, its comfortable, the staff are more like family friends who have envited you over for dinner. We had amazing service tonight, very kind and attentive. We started with the Crab and Asperagus Soup, it was fantastic flavorful and well prepared. For entrees we had the House Crispy Noodle, Orange Chicken, and Broccoli and Beef. Beef was thick and meaty the sauce perfect. My Father was very happy with the Orange Chicken. The House Crispy Noodle was phenomenal and packed with meats and veggies. Thanks everyone, it was the perfect welcome home.

Excellent food served with authentic Chinese horrible service. If you are not used to this non-nonsense, dont care attitude, you would think the service stinks. But this is typical for real Chinese restaurants. They took your order and brought you your food. What more do you want? The concept of pleasantries is unknown to them. Dont take it personally. Also, unless you are Asian, they expect you to tip regardless of this service and the owner gets the money, not the server who doesnt speak English. But the food, oh my! So good!

Great food but the service here stinks. Weve eaten here as well as their other locations in Richardson, Plano, and Haltom City. The service at the others are stellar (esp Haltom City) compared to the one in Arlington. Weve argued with one of the waitresses as well - saying that we ordered a certain dish when in fact we didnt. She insisted we were wrong. Again - great food but the crappy service isnt enough to entice us back to this location.

Weve been regulars there for years. It is a "famly style" place with entrees intended to be shared. Large portions. The food is fantastic. the Hot & Sour soup and the"BBQ" Pork are favorites. Cash only. Smile and be respectful for best service. This is a family place and you are a guest. I have seen folks acting like "ugly Americans" get ignored. This place is all about the food, and well worth a visit.

The worst Chinese food in Arlington. The service is horrible if there is any. The food taste..... i didnt think there were any taste all. and , please, please turn on the A/C, it is kind like 90 degree inside. also, they only accept CASH. if you dont have enough cash with you, well, good luck or maybe you can just call IRS. anyway, this is the worst Chinese Food in town and I am a Chinese.

Comida aventada, thrown food!!! We absolutely love this place, their food is absolutely by far the best Chinese food one can find in DFW, although I wish they have dumplings. ...The only downside of this place is that their service is SO RUDE!!! The wait staff has absolutely no manners once so ever. BUT well keep coming back thats how GREAT The food is.

Ive been going here since I was a kid and the food has always been great. My favorite is the BBQ pork and eggs or rice. The service is so so though, as is with most Asian restaurants. The restaurant is cash only for those that are unaware. Overall, no complaints on the food or wait time. This is a great place to go for a family lunch or dinner.
