It is not easy for a restaurant to motivate me to write a review, but The Curry House did it. My fiance and I visited in late Oct, 2015, around 5pm. To start, the food here is beyond amazing. I have always loved curry based dishes, but now my love has achieved new heights. Next, the menu is so vast and varied, that if it had not been for the very friendly and helpful staff, we may have had a little trouble deciding what to order. The waiter put real time, thoughtfulness, and detailed knowledge into helping us discover what we would love most. Once we found that perfect choice, we were again pleasantly surprised by the more than reasonable pricing, considering this rare quality; and the quality of the restaurant did not stop at the food either; the interior was very interesting including lighting and decoration, and they played intoxicating music to compliment the experience. In all aspects, it was a rewarding dinner that far exceeded our expectations. We would both highly recommend giving it a try. You will not be disappointed!

Came in for their lunch buffet today to eat pretty much nothing. I was seated and they didnt even ask what drink I wanted. I go to the buffet line to find nothing available to eat but some cold bread, rice, and fried cauliflower. All of their meats were empty except for the cold fried fish. I go ask for a water and didnt recieve it until 15 minutes later. Waited another half hour in the restaurant for them to restock their food, but they continued to be empty. I came in at 12:30 which is peak lunchtime so they should have no reason to be out of everything for almost a whole hour. They continued to waste my time by holding me up to pay. I really should have just left the restaurant without paying. I really didnt know what the hell I was paying for. I barely ate anything but some cold bread and rice with some type of meat sauce. Wasted my whole lunch hour eating garbage. Mcdonalds would have been a better option.

One fine day I was looking for an Authentic Indian Restaurant near Humble and went to Curry House! That was a Friday night and the crowd was huge! I was surprised with the variety and this kind of a variety I have never seen before in any of the Indian Restaurants so far! There are many native dishes pertaining to different states across India, which is a real surprise! To name a few, Plantain Bajji, Madurai Podi Idli, Chilli Idli, Egg Pakora, Gongura Chicken, Meen Kozhambu, Kothu Parotta, Muttai Dosa, Madras Filter Coffee.....and the list goes on! I felt the native taste in each one of the items that I ate! I started liking the tastes of Goat Biriyani and Chicken Briyani and have gone back again many times. I would give 5 out of 5 and would recommend to people who would want to taste authentic Indian food! Especially south Indian food!

The Curry House is easily one of the best Indian restaurants in the Houston area. I dare say its a hidden gem. They have a massive menu with plenty of options that range from safe and familiar to authentic Indian cuisine. Your money will go a long way at the buffet, but you will be limited to about 7 of the "safe and familiar" entree items, not that theres anything wrong with that. The buffet keeps most of the dishes on the milder side of spice, but occasionally theyll pack an extra kick. Favorite items are the Lamb Vindaloo, Butter Chicken, and the Bhagara Baingan. The employees here are all very nice, and service is a higher priority than Ive experienced at other Indian restaurants. Great food. Great service. I eat here nearly once a week!

I really liked the food. Im an indian food fanatic though. Ordered 2 entrees myself with 1 to go for later. Service was confusing. I had 3 different staff members asked for my drink order and then 2 different ones asked for my food order. Took about 15 minutes to get my water. I had asked the last one to not run to the natural spring cause i was really thirsty lol and it did take some time go get my food order. Thing was the place was only half full and plenty of staff. They need to get the staff together and figure out practical ways of timely serving guest. I seen reviews of others before i went talking about the same problem. Its concluded that service is a bit on the downside here. I couldnt imagin going during a rush.

Great Indian food here! Very authentic and very tasty and a reasonable price. I mustve come at a weird day though because the service was a tad slow. Took them about 10 minutes to take my order. There were 2 staff members that I saw actively working but only one was actually doing anything. In fact, Im pretty sure only the one guy took my order, got my drinks, cooked the food and got my check while serving 3 other tables. The other person just kind of... fluttered around. Anyway, the food here is great and I highly recommend it. Service for me was subpar but maybe I just came at a bad day.

Food: Im not an expert on Indian food, to be honest I have only had it a handful of times, however I will be coming back to try more than the chicken tikka masala. It was delicious and I filled up on it and the desserts. Service: Great job with the service, my cup was never empty. Three guys who I can only assume are part owners or family members were walking around checking on us. They were kind and were constantly asking if we had questions about the food. They were even interacting with the children. They made us feel like we were family. They genuinely cared about our dining experience.

New review: Good food. Now I would recommend it to all. They have improved a lot from my earlier review . Tried goat curry, madras fish fry and butter chicken all dishes are good. Old review Not for indians. The people who dont know indian cuisine may like it. Indians will be left disappointed. Naans are made , bunched together and placed in a container which adds steam . Naans feel like eating rubber . The chicken curries still have the fleshy smell , this is not the way true indian dishes will smell. Since this is the only indian place in humble, I hope they fix and become better.

I lived in India for two years as this place was really good! Great place for a lunch date with my wife. Excellent buffet with plenty of really good dishes to sample and enjoy (I love Indian buffets so I can eat a variety). I was especially pleased with the chicken tikka masala (not too spicy), mutton (goat) biryani, dosa, nan bread (really soft and tasty), pumpkin halwa (dessert), and last of all the mango lassi drink was fantastic! Definitely planning to come back!

So happy to have great tasting Indian food on this side of town. The service is very good, and the food is excellent. I especially liked the saag paneer and chicken tikka masala. The wait staff is very nice, and they are very helpful. They do serve beer and wine, so you can have a good drink with your meal. The place looks very nice on the inside, nice lighting, and other decorations. They have both a buffet and a menu. I definitely will be back soon.
