The food is awesome and the thing I like about this place is that they pay attention to details. Eg: water is served in glass stemware and they refill it with Ozarka. The flat ware is heavy and sparkles - no water marks, plates are hard ceramic. I think they had white linen on the table. Now coming to the food. The owner is right when he says food is made from scratch. It shows in the taste, texture and aroma. E.g.: I think I can easily spot items made out of tomato puree and frozen spinach- none of that here, the taste here is truly authentic and is made from scratch, we were here on two occasions, the first time we ordered from the menu and the second time this past weekend was a buffet and take out. The food in the buffet was as good as the one on La Carte. I will give an example - The samosas in the lunch buffet were made fresh of the same shape and were of the kind when you order an appetizer plate. The customer service is great as they have waiters who actually "wait" the table. The owner is a pleasant gentleman and takes pride in food and the service. He takes time to talk to you about the food, his cooks past experience and his future plans at the same time have a keen ear for your opinion. My next experience would be to try the European fare from the menu Over all I would say that we have our first white linen Indian Restaurant in Katy

I usually have a hard time enjoying Indian food at restaurants since theyre usually smothered in cream and lack an authentic taste, but this place has the best Indian food my family and I have had in a LONG time! I love the ambiance of the restaurant; it has a great set up, with ample seating, and a spacious bar. The staff is kind and attentive to guests, and have the best suggestions on dishes! Since opening, my family and I have visited twice and on both occasions we had a great experiences. My parents are strict vegetarians, and the menu was very accommodating to their diet, which is always hard to find in many restaurants. Additionally, the variety in their menu is the best part. Not only do they have the traditional Indian dishes, but awesome twists to old classics, creating a menu that you cant help but try out. (Their best dish is a ginger, honey Salmon; a must try!) They even have a kids menu that serves food for the kids that dont particularly enjoy traditional Indian food. As a person thats tried about every Indian restaurant in the Houston area, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

This place right here...... when you walk in the smell is incredible. Clean, the music was on point, after a while of sitting there I forgot I was on the edge of Katy-Cypress. Either they can sit you or you can pick your own table (with linens, beautiful flatware, and nice water glasses) the ladies bathroom is impeccable they have a custom sink that is super pretty. Oh wait your here for the food right? Our first visit and second we had the Goat. So tender, clean and fresh it came with Indian rice, forgive for not knowing the names of the dishes, I just know they are good. The third time we came we had Salmon Tiki<-- pretty sure I spelled that wrong. Dont get it twisted because I dont know the names and such my palate is sensitive and flavorful...I mean Cajun is what I am ;) #1incredible food #2 lovely staff #3 CLEAN POTTY #4 decently priced #5 aroma is wonderful Whats not to love!!!!

Enjoyed the lunch buffet for my first visit. I am not a carnivore, so all the vegitarian options were very appreciated. Everything was delicious!!! The flavors were so well done and fresh. I enjoyed every dish I had, which was something like 7 or so...all vegitarian!!! I love the fact that they do the lunch buffet on Saturday, too. There have been many restaurants come and go around this area, but I emplore people to come enjoy this restaurant because I would really like it to stay around. The only reason I didnt give all 5 stars is because I would have liked to have the food a little warmer (temperature not spice). I arrived right as they finished putting all the food out on the buffet and maybe there was just a little too much time in transition.

Amar means "to love" in Spanish. I dont know what it may mean in Indian. And yet I can say I really felt the love that went into the preparation of this food. Every bite was unique and flavorful. The lunch buffet offered an elegant variety of dishes. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were all excellent. The price is very reasonable for the ample and tasty selections offered for lunch. I understand the selections vary daily. A wonderful encouragement toward returning to sample other exotic flavors. My first visit today was satisfying and left me wanting to come back again.

Great Indian food and pleasing portions. Tried the Kadai Goat, chicken tikka masala, Saag Paneer, plain naan, and garlic naan. Goat curry was earthy and full of flavor and body. Chicken tikka had a wonderful slight sweetness from the tomatoes. Saag paneer on the creamy side, surprising depth and in house made cheese. Plain naan tasty, and the garlic naan had strong fresh garlic presence without dominating the curries. Our server Debbie was super friendly and helpful- shes a great addition to Houston! A new favorite, wish it were closer to home!

Ordered two indian dishes for take-out, horrible taste and not going back; meat was overcooked, dry, and too much spices. Price for the Indian menu is too high, food is cooked with too much spices and quality is really poor. Those of you are concerned with halal or nonhalal meat, this restaurant doesnt serve (or declare) halal meat; so be cautious on that. Overall, I care more about the quality of food, which was very disappointing and disatisfied.

Been wanting to stop in and try, so today was the day. So glad I did, some of the best India flavors around. Buffet restaurants generally dont appeal to me, however this place won me over. Freshness was outstanding! Flavors original! Couple of spicy dishes. Eggplant was excellent as well as mushrooms. I will definitely be back and highly recommend to my friends. Hope they keep there high food standards. Service was also very good. Great all around.

The staff was very friendly and fast. The food though was not what I was use to from my neck of the woods. They put butter on the naan bread also the sauces were good they were chunky which made it look not very appetizing. Also I was there from 12:30 to 1 eating which you figured they would be on the ball with keeping food stocked but the butter chicken was never filled once the entire time I was there. It was a good price though.

I will only do Indian food on buffets because I like to have a little bit of everything. This is the best Indian lunch buffet Ive ever been to. Price is decent. Food is delicious and the selection is awesome. 1 day they had out chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and chicken vindaloo . Ive never seen anyone else put that many varieties of chicken curries out. I think Ill have to go back tomorrow...
