Not a bad little place, actually it was darn good. By the time I left I was so impressed with this place its surprise me. It is better than what some of the reviews make it out to be. Gumbo bowl lunch special for 0.99 was awesome. It hit my table less than 1 minute from when it was ordered. The seafood Ranchero was excellent.... The calamari and octopus were cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. What impressed me the most was the manager noticed that I didnt have any chips and salsa. Not a big deal to me but the minute he saw that he made a point to correct it immediately without having to be asked. I didnt go there thinking I would find one of my top 10 favorite restaurants in Houston but this definitely is up there. Absolutely Ill be going back, there are more things on the menu I need to try!

I have been going to this place for years. It seems to be getting worse with each visit. The food is not a good quality as it once was and If you dont speak to the waitresses in Spanish they will get your order wrong and then they are mad at you for they not understanding what you ordered. Im Not going back and have been telling the family this everytime we leave but this time I mean it! Learn to speak and understand english enough to get an order right. I try to speak Spanish as often as I can not knocking the language but when you work in America and a Seafood place on top of that learn English.

Food is really good! My husband had the Mariscal, a succulent seafood soup and I had the mahi! Very tasty! The only problem was the wine. The server told me they had white red and rose. When I asked what kind of white, she said "wine" and offered to bring the bottles. They were individual serving Sutton brand. All three were very cold, so when I told the server that red wine is best at room temperature, she told me nobody likes it like that. I will definitely come back for the food, but will stay away from ordering wine!

Gave this restaurant several chances only because its the closest seafood place near my house and Im done coming here. My food always comes out wrong, it sucks waiting so long to get what I order . Every waitress Ive had here does not speak English either, I would at least expect them to speak it a little bit to understand the menu. I ordered a 6 dollar sandwich, end up paying 11 dollars for it because I asked them to change it the way I ordered in the 1st place.

Best service and sea food Ive had in Houston. Ive been looking for years a place with great seafood and finally found this place. Waitress was great and fast. We ordered a variety of food starting with aguachile, ceviche, quesadilla, and shrimp basket. Everything was beyond my expectations. We will definitely be regulars here.

The food quality and presentation of this place is top notch. This is a restaurant that could easily be on Washington St. or The Heights and be successful. Great food, friendly staff and good prices. Beer selection for me is very limited, as there are no craft beers, but great place nonetheless.

My fiancé and I started coming here a couple months ago for seafood, but we stayed for the fajitas and now were regulars :) everyone is very friendly and the food is DELICIOUS! Great food and drink specials! I love their live music too :)

Good food. Fried flounder is excellent! Only complaint is that during lunch on weekdays, Ive waited for a while for food. They were noticeably busy on those occasions. All in all id say its a good place to sit, eat , and drink

We ordered the combination plate with the grilled fish, fried shrimp, rice and onion rings. The fish was a little too salty for me but everything else was good. Oh and the salsa with the chips is awesome!! :-D

Fair gumbo none of the waitresses spoke English hard to communicate the beer is too expensive must be Mexican owners I cant tell if this is seafood place or Mexican place theyve got it mixed up I dont recommend

Very good food, great service. Only issue is the new location is a little loud. Changed review to 5 stars. Manger handled situation with loud group. Satisfied. Very attentive staff and excellent pina colada

This mexican style seafood place could be better. Onion rings were very oily and the served the shrimp burnt. On the plus side the raw oysters were awesome.Michoacan and mambos have this place beat any day.

Tried the crawfish here, its pretty good. Reasonable prices, Im surprised it wasnt to packed for it being a Saturday and service was really good. Also there was live entertainment.

Ive been going to this place for a while. I like it, they have the best caldo de pescado and my wife like it, this says a lot since she is very picky. it changed owner, I think.
