I decided to finally visit this place that I whiz by everyday going from i10 to 610, a cousin said it was delish and i am so glad he was right! I wasnt impressed by the catfish, but me my husband and my mom are in love with the shrimp! even my 3 year old loved it, and agreed to eat it. If I had liked the catfish Id rate it 5 stars. (i would prefer a different crust on the catfish and maybe the fish should be soaked in milk?) service is very courteous, sweet tea was just right, hush puppies were yummy. THE SHRIMP was flavorful and whole,tender, just the right amount of crunch when you bite into the shrimp. seriously great shrimp- we are still craving more. my husband had an OK steak but he really loved the way they did their potatoes, sort of grilled and flavorful, like a bigger better version of homefries. The french fries were even yummy. their cheese sticks tasted great too... it looks like its connected to the quality inn hotel externally but its not. I hope they stay around for a while because i have a new favorite place for seafood. :)

I used to work for Sam Sar (the owner) when he owned the building in Texas City. I was sad to see him go, but so happy he opened a new restaurant in Houston! Ive since joined the military but when I come home, I always stop at TSR! The shrimp is definitely a specialty. Its coated in a special sauce before flouring, which gives it its awesome taste. I love the chicken fried rice and won ton soup, both the Sars recipe. Most items are homemade and if you peek into the kitchen, youll see Sams own wife preparing meals. The crawfish come direct from Louisiana and then boiled live in their secret recipe (not just water!) Sam enjoys what he does and will sit and chat with you. His only downfall is never promoting his restaurant. Hes a firm believer of "if you cook it, they will come." Do yourself a favor and try this food. I loved working there (and the employee discount!) and I know youll love the food.

This is one of the reasons Houstonians love to eat out so much! I have been to many expensive restaurants that are supposedly the best but when I ate here the first time I was stunned. I saw the prices and thought it must be an average place. But when they brought out my plate (I had the fish, shrimp and oyster combo) I was blown away. Just believe me when I tell you this is the best seafood Ive ever had. Ive been back three more times in as many months- they have been getting my monthly eat out budget :-)

First & last time eating here. I got the fried shrimp with fries and everything was greasy. When I bit into the fries, grease dripped on my chin. It wasnt worth the price at all. My daughter got 2lbs of crawfish & that was the only thing that was worth the price. When I received my ticket, they automatically charged a 15% tip for our waitress which was totally outrageous to me. How are you going to tell me how much of a tip Im going to give someone? I wouldnt recommend this restaurant at all.

I was introduced to this restaurant over 2 months ago and I have been there over five times. The food is up to its best quality! All the seafood is fresh! The wait is not that long. The staff is very friendly and polite. The dining area is very comfortable and versitile. Let it be family, the girls night out or the guys..... Love the plasma tvs in the center! Even the mananger socializes with you! I love this place.. The food is so delicious.

My boiled crawfish was excellent and fried shrimp were so light and fluffy and tasty. The portions were excellent and the specials even better. This is a hidden gem that I will come to over and over again when I am in Houston. I almost felt that the great seafood taste was from Louisiana ..as everything perfectly seasoned and fresh! I would highly recommend this place

Wow ! Amazing place ! We are from Louisiana and its hard to find good seafood like we are accustomed too. This place had awesome everything ! The catfish was fried just like God intended and the crawfish ettoufee was great. Fried shrimp was perfect ! Cant wait to go eat there again !

Took the woman there tonight and discovered cold stuffed jalapeno, cold potato with cold butter, cold grilled salmon. The only thing they got right was the fried fish and french fries which was the only thing consumed. The rest of the $40 order went to the garbage.

The food was not good. The lobster was tough and over cooked. The steak was the worst Ive ever had. They dont serve alcohol, and the waiter was weird and awkward. They put a cheap steak sauce inside a A1 steak sauce bottle... Lol What a waste of 60 bucks...

Good food, however they never seem to be open! They never seem have the same hours which becomes considerably aggravating when you drive to the restaurant on a norm day, not a holiday, and they are closed. It has happend several time to me know.

My boyfriend and I came because of the good ratings and its so good. Its a nice calm atmosphere. Although it look us awhile to be seated the food was fresh, it tasted good, and portions are a good size as well. Loved it.

They dont even deserve one star... The manager was really RUDE when I tried to tell him I didnt enjoy my meal & yelled at me saying that he has been open for 9 years. IM VERY UNPLEASED & WILL NEVER COME BACK!

Best place ever! Food is perfect service is great no loudness like other restaurants very calm I would recommend to anyone! Shrimp alfredo is my fav. Snow crab is perfect also ! Just a quick fyi haha !

Save your money this place is no good. The food was horrible, Long John Silvers is better! Oh and you cant wash it down with a cold beer or a margarita because THEY DONT SELL ANY!..WTH!
