I have been eating fresh seafood in this area since most of the restaurants were just small seafood markets and ACTUALLY, you buy they fry it type of places. Tampico is by far my favorite seafood place in the area. They have a great selection of seafood entrees on their menu at incredible prices, but for a real treat order something at market prices. For a fabulous experience, I recommend the Huachinango a la Plancha, which translated means grilled red snapper. The whole fish is seasoned just right and grilled to perfection. Why stop there? Ask them to top it with some grilled shrimp and scallops. You wont regret it! It will arrive at your table sizzling hot with a huge pile of fried rice. Now be patient! It takes a good 20 - 30 minutes for his delicacy to be prepared, but no problemo! Order a shrimp cocktail and throw back one of the citys BEST Micheladas while you wait.

Deaf Patrons Confirmed reservations were not honored, and my group was kicked out simply because half of our group was deaf. I arrived at 6pm with a group of 40+ expected and the staff did not want to bother with the 2 extra seconds it takes to read what a deaf person might want to eat instead of being told. I am not deaf; however, I do not speak Spanish, & often times I have to point at the menu to order because I cannot pronounce what I want. Furthermore, the manager refused to even give menus to those of us that had got seated once he found out that we were with the deaf group. Completely unacceptable. If we had been a group of people of a certain skin color would we be refused service? No that is not legal, but it is ok to kick out the deaf?

I have been coming here for years! Always loved the food. But, unfortunately today they took almost more than an hour to bring us our food. On top of that, they ordered a bigger fish for us without informing us that thwy had ran out of the fish thay we wanted. The waistress was very rude and wouldnt come to our table to ask us if we didnt anything. I left disappointed anf took evwrything to go instead. I doubt i will come here again. I would atick to location #2.

First time visiting the Houston-Galveston area. Excelent food and the service is very good. I manage a TexMex Restaurant in Fort Worth and. The freshness of the food cant get any better. They have a fridge/cooler from where they get your seafood and then cook it all fresh for you. This was a excelent choice to stop and eat in our way back to Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Food not worth the price at all, service extremely slow with barely any customers , unnecessary slow, they kept giving me the wrong drinks and when they gave me what i asked for it was flat, and also would never check on us we had to ask for refils and the ticket, service was horrible , overpriced, would not recommend i will never return to this location

food was slow to come out yet again, server only had two tables yet we were left without drinks for a long while. food felt like just "something to put in the tank", nothing spectacular. if youre in the area and dont want to go to the other two seafood locations up the street I guess go here.

I deliver seafood to them and although I cant comment on the food because I havent tried it yet, the kitchen is nice and clean as well as the staff. If you come to eat here I can assure you youll be eating clean food. I wish I could say the same about other places I deliver to. Bone appetit!

Best Mexican seafood place in Houston! You dont go to a mexican SEAFOOD place and order spinach enchiladas. You order grilled snapper a la Veracruz or fried shrimp and fried rice. Best shrimp cocktail ever. If you like Mambos which sucks you will love the North side gem.

Fresh Seafood with a mexican spin. This place is nothing fancy by the looks of it, but dont let that fool you, the food is great! The oysters are spectacular and the snapper a la plancha (a whole red snapper, complete with the eyeball) is great to split with a few pals.

I went in and the wait staff and the manager looked at me as if I was not welcomed. They stared at me for a while until the manager said "what you need" in frustration. I just asked for a cup of water and left. Horrible experience.

Awesome place that I would visit again. No frills but fantastically fresh fish and food. Had a whole snapper made to order with fried rice, guacamole and Diablo salsa. Best of all a bottle of La Crema Chardonnay was $32. Enjoy!

The service here was ridiculously awful. There were only about 3 families eating at the same time and we still never got refills and waited 40 minutes for a check. The food was average and slightly overpriced.
