This place is pretty good to stop by for a quick meal, I enjoy the staff that is more than ready to help you pick something really good from the menu. They have a lot of things to choose from! What I usually get is the Pueblo Vejo Dinner and the Quesadillas with special chicken. There 2 dishes I can easily say are amongst the top for me! The margaritas are great also! My friends usually get them and when I have had a taste, I can honestly say they are good and you can barely tell there is alcohol there! The atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting but I wouldnt say the seats and stuff is super comfortable after being there a while. Even though Im usually in here for a couple hours whenever I go. They have a few TVs in the place usually set to sports channels. The bar also has stools and stuff if you want to just go there for a quick drink! Also they have Karaoke on Tuesday nights I believe! It was fun the time I went. Updated: 5.0 star rating 12/8/2016 Updated review 4 check-ins Today I went here for a breakfast, because I heard they served one and I was in the area. I must say I was little skeptical because I didnt know if they would make the breakfast as good as they do their lunch and dinner meals. Goodness did they prove me wrong, I even tried my eggs cooked a different way than I usually have it made (Sunny Side Up) I must say I might have been missing out on something there, the rest of the breakfast was very good and I would come back to try some other different things on the menu another morning. The staff was very attentive and fast with the delivery of the food to me. The restaurant had more people in it than I thought, meaning people know the breakfast here is good! If Im ever in the area I will come by either to sit down and eat or get take out!

After almost 4 years this is finally my last trip here. The first year our family ate here often, sometimes twice a week! We took our family and friends many times. The service was never great, but the prices were very fair and the food was always exceptional. Then the prices went up and we came a bit less often. Still, amazing food. Then maybe two years ago we dwindled down to twice a month, their prices jumped up again and they started religiously messing up our taco orders a good 70% of the time. That became pretty annoying and we came less. Then the food started going downhill. Its a hit or miss if youll get good cheese. Its pure luck if you get the AMAZING guacamole they had in the beginning. Many times its salted like they are trying to keep it for winter, or even worse - full of lemon juice! I mean wrinkle your nose sour!!! It doesnt help that its always been frustrating ordering here because only one or two of the staff know English. They like to nod and smile and say, "yes," but chances are the order will be wrong - ESPECIALLY if you order carryout over the phone. I stopped doing that the third or fourth time). Anyway, on to my reason for a one star and my pledge to never return.... Tonight I spent $18 for 2 tacos and a small order of cheese and Guacamole. I tipped per my usual, so my total was $20 and change. I got home to raw onions in my tacos (not grilled as I always request), UNBELIEVABLY salty chile co queso and just-this-side-of-sour guacamole. Im done.

Great food but bad customer service! !!! Went here for breakfast for the 1st time and was pleased with the environment, its clean and festive! Was excited about the food and very happy with the quality of the Menudo and Migas, they were some of the best we have eaten! However the breakfast potatoes they served me were cold and hard, obviously old so I nicely asked for fresh papas! We watched as the cook felt them with his arm and then proceeded to put them in the microwave to reheat them (gross), so he serves them to me and says these are new ones they just made but my husband told him we saw him microwave them but he kept denying it and said they were new ones! So we asked if they could please just make fresh ones but instead he just walked away and didnt care and NEVER BROUGHT ME ANY POTATOES AT ALL! SO RUDE...so I paid for a side of potatoes that I never even got and the waiter never even came back to the table after that! REGARDLESS OF HOW GOOD THE FOOD WAS, WE WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!!

The food was very good. I had a torta cubana and I have no complaints of the food, however the service was BAD. We waited over 30 minutes for everyone in my group of 7 to be served. We were one of the first tables during lunch time, there were hardly anyone in there, yet the service was so slow. Even when we went to pay...it was a long time before they processed everyones payments. The girl who waited my table was also the cashier. She looked very stressed out and ended up giving me a lot more money for change - I brought it to her attention to help her out, and she was having a hard time processing the information. I dont know if they are under staffed or if they just dont have a good system. Either way, I dont think Ill be going back there any time soon. Like I said, the food was pretty good, but higher prices than other Spring Branch Mexican places, and looong wait.

They took forever on our drinks and my husband hates that since he only ordered a Miller lite and I a house frozen with salt. The brought us a budlight and strawberry margarita. They rushed us to order after we said once we got our drink we would order. We found out we got there 5 min to 10pm and the kitchen was closing. So we ordered. The guac was good, however The Shrimp Brochette and rice was terrible. They shrimp and rice seemed old. Now I know why its called Pueblo Viejo. The charro beans had no beans in it. Lupita the Entertainment was great but the food is not like theyre other location. We wont be back. All I can say it rent that McDonalds Documentary. If the food is not good no ones coming back.

WORST EXPERIENCE .... My wife was craving a torta, so we stop here. Immediately I felt the A/C was shot. So hot the flies were seeking refuge. After 2 sodas, a dry torta and some clearly "store bought" frozen french fries, my wife and I just shook our heads. We even chuckled as if to say, "live and learn". Then the bill came with this ridiculous amount! It wasnt funny anymore. Totally not worth the meal or the experience. We tipped, only because we always do, but this time we really shouldnt have. The waitress was disturbingly unresponsive. It just seemed like the entire staff didnt even want to be there. The flies had the right idea. Seriously, do not waste your time.

This is place is great! Actually better than great. ITS AMAZING! 1. they great you with a warm smile. 2. Theyre slam packed and they still give you exceptional service. 3. I got the plato taquero and drenched them with their green salsa. wow! the charro beans are like nothing ive tasted before! filled with vegetables, bacon bits, pinto beans and tomato. They fajita beef wasnt greasy like other places and had great flavor! AND WE ALL KNOW THAT WHEN IT COMES TO MEXICAN FOOD ...IF THE SALSA AND CHIPS ARENT GOOD WHY EVEN BOTHER ORDERING FOOD... THEY CHIPS AND SALSA HERE.... are out of this world-good! AND FREE!
