Me and my husband have came here 3 times before and had pleasant experiences. The food was fast, Good and the waiters were on it. Today however was a completely different situation. Our waiter Literally ignored us the majority of the time. By the time he finally brought out our food claiming it was hot, it was not at all, you could tell the food had been sitting for awhile but thats not even the worse part. I ordered the presidente that came with 3 shrimps. I am not exaggerating or lying when I tell you that the shrimp was rotten. It was the most disgusting thing I ever ate. We will not be coming back under any circumstances and I wouldnt advise anyone to either.

I like a restaurant where you are treated like family when they recognize you as a regular and this is what I get at Las Palomas. I love that wink & nod treatment, even if Im not really getting free extras or discounts, just the acknowledgment that says "your not a customer, amigo. Youre family, one of us". Its not fancy, it looks like every other Tex-Mex restaurant youve ever been in, and thats not a complaint, its just an observation. The food and the staff is what makes it special. Try the soups, they are all great. The quail and fish dishes are all great too, but best of all the the standard no-menu-required Meskin food when you just need that fix. Enjoy!

Every time I go to this restaurant on any day but Fridays, I get food poisoning. Friday is when they cook their food fresh... and I guess also for the whole week because the queso tastes like old freezer, the chicken and steak are reheated, the dishes are dirty, a few of the staff are rude beyond belief, and the enchilada cheese isnt even melted... its all rubbery. Trust me on this one guys. Spend the same amount on a good, fresh dinner any night at Iguana Joes or The Original Ninfas on Navigation. This place is sick!

We have been enjoying Las Palomas for the better part of 10 years now. This IS our go to Mexican restaurant. Jose has always been inviting and a joy to visit with, but is also very attentive to ALL customers needs. And the food? Seriously??!??! AAAAA+++++!!!!! Always on point and always GREAT!! I highly recommend trying EVERYTHING, especially the fajita plates. Do your tastebuds a favor and give Las Palomas a try! You WONT regret it!!

Great food, friendly staff, I tried big chain tex-mex and other mexican restaurants but this one so far is the best. Many go to those big fancy mexican restaurants because they look nice (El Tiempo, Iguanas Joes...) but their food taste chewy & fake (almost microwave), blend or too many spices, and the place will be too crowded and wait staff be rude. This place is better than those, give it a try!

My girlfriend and I visited today while on a trip to Houston. We have spent the past 6 hours after eating here in the emergency room. We both have food poisoning. The food tasted good going down but definitely not coming up. I will never eat here again nor would I suggest it to anyone else. It was a waste of $40 and I honestly expected better. Im extremely disappointed

Its always a great experience dining here. The food and drinks are always good and Jose is always hospitable and greets us with a handshake if hes there. The wait staff is always making sure the patrons are satisfied and refill drinks and chips promptly. Oh, and being a music lover, the music never fails to keep me entertained. Kudos to Las Palomas.

One of the best in the area, The staff are Very pleasant and welcoming. Food is consistently good. We have been coming here for years. My boyfriend always gets the fajitas rancheros. While I have two dishes that I must often set, the Chalupas deluxe or The Vallarta plate. The Gringo is a great take out dish.

Love it! Every time we go, we are made to feel welcome and special. And this is coming from a family with four small kiddos. They are ALWAYS smiling from start to finish. Great atmosphere and we never seem to have to wait too long for service no matter how busy they are. Very good people and food!

I love this place. They have the best cheese, beef and chicken enchiladas in all of Houston. Their Polo al Parila dish is too fabulous for words. The meal is so huge you can share it with your dinner date. You will never ever be disappointed eating St Las Palmas.

Love this place. The owner is so great. His staff is always kind. He must treat his employees great because he always has the same staff. He is always supporting the baseball and football teams and North shore senior class. Great food and great people.

the food is nothing special tbh, if youre just in the mood for tex mex and youre close ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but omg those 4.95 frozen house margaritas.... Ay Dios Mio go *just* for those. cant beat that price. 3 of them & youre feeling good

Food was pretty good. I had the stuffed avocado and my friend had the trio fajitas. The margarita was really good, too! Not only was our waiter nice and attentive, the bartender also came by to check on us. I will be back! ☺

Really good Authentic Mexican food! Menudo, pozole, chiles rellenos, the whole works! If you crave it and its Mexican they have it! Ive been to many Mexican restaurants and this one is at the top of my list!

Waiter was rude and didnt refill drinks when asked. And the charge for substitutions is overpriced, I was quoted a $4.00 fee to change cheese enchiladas to chicken enchiladas!!!!!!! Ridiculous.

Really good tex-mex with a personal touch. The owners, Jose & Gloria, are normally around to make sure everyone everyone is happy. Nice portions and very tasty. Waiters are very attentive.

My daughter is a fan of the cheese enchiladas and husband loves chicken Verde. Very convenient call in service we use on the weekends because they do get busy. Go to Mexican Food.
