There is gravel parking in the back and there is an okay amount of seating. The decor here is interesting though. We ordered just about everything on the menu and I wasnt left very impressed. The food wasnt that great though, sadly. We ordered the deviled eggs and it was alright. the crab beignets were not good though, it seemed like it was bad or old crab. It was more of a hushpuppy than it was a beignet. The best item that we ordered was the Chicken Pot Pie. We ordered the Chicken Fried Venison, and it was not my thing, I should have gotten the Chicken Fried Chicken maybe. Was not impressed with the Pork Shank and especially for $27. The Build your own Mac and cheese had some weird cheese in it so it was off putting to me. The Brussels sprouts were that crispy so I didnt enjoy it. I like it really crispy but this was a little sauced out. Overall I wouldnt really recommend it or return.

I recently hosted a bridal brunch here & was extremely pleased with our experience. The food was great, the Mimosas & Bloody Marys were awesome! We started off with the pigs in the blanket & then every guest ordered something different off the menu from Eggs Benedict, to the Porker Sandwich with nothing but praises on the food from all. Our server Solomon was very attentive and we never had to ask for anything! Megan is the owner, she was a joy to work with during the planning of this event & made us feel so welcome & right at home the day of the event. Megan thank you & your entire staff for helping make this surprise bridal bunch a huge success! I will defiantly be back & I am telling all my friends!

Great food...just got a bad vibe from the manager. Sitting there talking asked could we move from the table. The reason was they had a large party coming in and wanted to combine the tables no problem. So went to the bar sorta tossed the menu and was like what you want to drink. In a very distasteful way. So we left waited outside for a few just to see this large party. Needless to say didnt witness a large party going in. Then the guy set the table up for two right after we left. Truly felt rushed out because we didnt purchase anything else after we closed the ticket. We were just sitting there talking.

Nice neighborhood bar witha good selection of dtinks, and a nice menu of quality pub food; acommpanied by solid happy hours throughout the week. As someone very familiar with this part of town for a long time. As long as they dont screw it up like a lot have in this area (got greedy) you this place should stick. They do need to be a bit careful with pricing. They sell Platypus Brewing beers at basically twice the price the brewery does - which is across the street!! - and Platypus kitchen makez better food.

I have to say that I love this bar! The bartenders are pretty friendly, the food is tasty, and overall a great time. This is one of the better dog friendly bars in the Houston area. Although this bar has a small selection of draft beers (6 or so taps), but to make up for this there is a pretty large collection of bottled or caned beers. I suggest that you bring friends, perhaps your dog, and enjoy a great night.

I live in the neighborhood and BEF is a favorite. The atmosphere is nice and the food is good. I routinely take visiting friends here and everyone has liked it as well. It has a nice list of wines and the dishes are pretty good. And even though its not cheap, the prices are not a big splurge. My favorite dishes are the chicken fried chicken and the meatloaf.

Was loving this place until I saw my bill after two beers. $20 before tip. $12 for a 16 oz Yellow Rose IPA bottle. $6.50 for a random local craft beer in draft. Dont go here unless money is not an issue at all for you. Great laid back vibe with plenty of TVs and outdoor seating. But make sure to ask what things cost.

The Good: The waitress there was very nice and attentive. The cocktails are yummy. The Fair: I had the shrimp and grits and I just didnt like how the grits were cooked. They were lumpy instead of smooth. And my boyfriends fried chicken was burnt. The mashed potatoes were ok, they were chunky and pretty bland.

Very attentive staff, quality food, fun atmosphere and great location. My visit was for an informal business lunch, and the music was a little loud, but I could definitely see this place working with my wife for a relaxed night out, or even with kids.

Please spray for mosquitoes in the back! I keep getting chewed up! Other than that this is one of the coolest bars in Houston. Really cool relaxed atmosphere, great cocktails, good food. I would def give 5 stars if my legs werent so itchy!

Adorable neighborhood bar. Very dog friendly (they even serve dog beer), super casual laid back atmosphere, food and drinks are above the norm for a casual bar and rival fine dining restaurants. Love coming here.

Attentive staff...always ready when you WANT them, but not smothering. Great outdoor area. Started inside, quaint local feel. Moved outdoors, and overall enjoyable experience. Will definitely return.

Love the laid back atmosphere and how dog friendly it is. Really great happy hour deals on food and drinks! The only thing is that they seem to over salt their food- maybe it was just that one day.

First off its dog-friendly and has a nice dining atmosphere...what you dont see is the traditional quesadillas they offer which was pretty darn good....they are better known for their burgers

Amazing new restaurant on Washington. Ive been there twice now and the service was great both times. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the chicken fried chicken with whipped potatoes.

More of a bar than restaurant, but our orders actually came out ok. Its really geared towards the early 20s crowd with bar service only (no waiters), laminated menus, the whole nine yards.

I had the braised pork shank, my boyfriend had the shrimp and grits - both were amazing. Loved the atmosphere and we received outstanding service. We will definitely be back.
