I have been to this place 3 times, the first 2 times must have been before anyone knew about it, as it was a nice unassuming and casual place. lots of seating, really nice atmosphere, great patio area. Just a really cool concept of an old house turned into a bar. The most recent trip to this place was a horrible experience. The music was obtrusively loud (like a club, but no dancing, so whats the point?), and it was packed. It took 5 minutes for me to close my tab at the bar. It felt like one of the now too typical midtown meat markets. If you want to go to a relaxed place and have a conversation with friends in midtown, stay away from Komodo.

Been many times and its a very laid back back bar. Its basically a house that has a bar in the middle of the living room. The staff are alway good but thats what youd expect in midtown. They have a happy hour on local beers(which I think changes) and the spirits arent heavily priced. Id probably give this place more stars if they didnt just play pop music all the time.

Great house bar in the middle of Midtown. Craft drinks, fireplace, indoor and outdoor tables. Food can be brought in. Lots of great music on the jukebox. Great Sunday funday stop in. Draft beers available and several couches. They have a big screen TV but not really a sports bar unless local events are going on. Friendly staff with nightly specials.

Easily one of my favorite spots in all of Houston. Very laid back which is very counter to almost every other place in Midtown. Bartenders and service are great. If your normal drink is a Jack and Coke, this is easily the best in area. If you think they are all the same, try a few then come here. Youre welcome.

This place is a very cool concept. Old house turned into a bar. Seating and atmosphere is comfortable. Digital jukebox is pretty handy, everyone can play their own taste of music. The bar staff is really quick to get drinks served.

First time was the charm absolutely love this place and the bartender had excellent service and the staff was great on recommending drinks plus the music was great and the prices were great. I strongly recommend komodos after work

Great atmoshphere however, when it gets busy the bar tenders cater more to the regulars not the new people, we were constantly overlooked for service and very hard to close out your tab, pay as you go and you might be fine.
