I literally go to Front Porch every single week since I moved to Houston about 7 months ago. This is my favorite place to hang out with my friends.. You will see all kinds of people, from someone wearing flip flops to someone wearing a suit.. I read a few reviews here and honestly I dont understand some of the complaints.. people go to a patio bar in Midtown and expect to have the same service and treatment of a Michelin Star Restaurant in NYC!! Of course there are room for improvements, and I hope the management take some of my comments in consideration, but honestly, this is a patio bar in Midtown Houston! You go there to grab a few beers and bar snacks!! Ill give 5 starts without a question, although I would like to make the following comments: Pros: - Chill Place, Nice Crowd, Dog Friendly, Cheap Steaks on Tuesdays, Amazing Fried Pickles, many TVs with different sports, Nice Patio Area, Friendly Staff (90% of the cases), great selection of beers (and all the times I got a flat beer or something, they changed right away with a big apology). Cons: - Beers could be cheaper, staff changes quite often (which tends to drop the quality of the service, since new girls are always under training, etc), sometimes they can run a little bit slow also (long time to bring the drinks or the checks). Hope that helps!!!

Disappointed is an understatement. Waiting for service in a predominantly empty seating area should have been a sign this experience would be less than awesome. Ordered food and part of it was cold. Kept my cool and just asked the waitress to heat it up. Unbelievably that made it much worse. Best part of the meal was the water, fried chicken and curly fries. Low rating was due to poor customer service and unreasonable wait time. Wont be back but anyone else is welcome to take the L.

For a Midtown bar, this one is pretty chill and cool. The moondrivers (Blue Moon and frozen screwdriver) are the bomb. I always get them, calories be damned! The place also has a pretty good bar food menu. The bars name sake, i.e., front porch, is so nice when the weather is nice and I could sit there for hours watching the huge outdoor televisions. My only complaint is that I think the bar mats need a good cleaning as there is some sort of funky smell by the bar sometimes.

Server does not recognize the importance of a customer, dog nasty is more like it. Another customers dog used the bathroom in the restaurant. Dog poop got on the leash, customer then walked outside and wiped it on the bottom of two tables, told one waiter, he said tell someone else he was clocking out. Told another waitress, she went wiped the bottom of the table then wiped the top of the table with the same towel, disgusting

Really enjoy coming to Front Porch on Tuesday for trivia and steak night. (Only $15!) I like the atmosphere better here than Porch Swing on Heights Blvd. Front Porch is more relaxed and easy going. Plus the trivia host is funny and nice. At Porch Swing it gets very loud and crowded quickly and I am not a fan of the trivia host. I recommend Front Porch over Porch Swing any day.

Great, relaxed place in Midtown to get a drink and do some people watching. Its far enough outside the center of Midtown to easily find parking, but within walking distance to the rest of the neighborhoods offerings. As with Midtown in general, the pub gets very crowded on weekends. Bonus: delicious, spicy crawfish every weekend during crawfish season that is reasonable priced.

The service was terrible! Not once did anyone come and ask us if we needed a drink or a food menu. We had to go to to the bar every single time, to order a drink, to get a menu, to order food, AND to close out our check. Terrible terrible service. The food was OK, nothing special about it. The only thing I liked was the atmosphere, its relaxing and dog friendly.

Thursday steak night. Monday wings day. Two days i prefer going here. If you want steak on Wednesdays, i would suggest Hughes hanger. But yeah, been a customer for 4 years now, ever since college. Nice place to meet and Chat, of course depending on weather. Get early for parking. Cards people past 9 as obvious. Nice crepe place right across for desert.

A good neighborhood bar for good beers and food. I think the beers a wee bit overpriced compared to other places but it is in midtown. Youll find your typical midtown crowd so expect lots of yuppies. Great patio for dogs and friends. If youre looking for a casual hang out joint, youll like Front Porch.

My coworkers and I come here every Tuesday night for Trivia. A great atmosphere with a great outside patio/porch. For the most part, the service is good. The menu is pretty minimal and the food is not much better than your typical "pub" food. However, the beer selection is excellent.

Highly recommend this place. Cool chill spot. Delicious food. Nice outdoor patio. But you also have a choice to cool out inside. Good selection of beers and moondrivers on deck. Love their chilly cheese fries!! The service has always been fair. Parking is probably the only issue.

Went here for steak night with the misses and it was a lively environment, lots of movement and quite fun. The steaks were cooked well ( medium rare actually) , but the meat seemed like it wasnt very good quality. I would go back to have drinks but probably not for the steak.

Ignoring the fact that I was there for one beer and was punched in the face by a total stranger then kicked out, this bar is simply meh. Less douschey than other midtown bars, the atmosphere is boring, the service is mediocre, and the drinks leave something to be desired.

I love this place. A laid back patio. A nice selection of beer and open bar. The food is pretty good for a bar. Tuesday and Thursday are steak nights. They even serve crawfish in the season. You can watch games on TVs. Parking is a problem. But it is worth it.

This place has awesome moon drivers! A very big laid back patio. The food is pretty good as well. They even participate in steak night and crawfish season. Quite a few TVs so you can catch any game. Parking is a little tough but its worth the hassle.

Pros: Great trivia and steak night on Tuesdays. Cons: Beers taste flat and stale. Either the kegs are old or the lines have to be cleaned. To fix this I stick to seasonal craft beers and only at the beginning of that respective season.

This is a great place for a moon driver or, maybe surprisingly, a good classic cocktail. Weve never ordered food here, but its on the to do list. We just come for drinks, a chill crowd, and the patio.

Fast friendly service even with a throng, FPP knows how to do big events. The food is consistently good for pub fare so excited to try out the brunch, it looks a bit fancier than the usual fare.

Thought it had potential but there were literally 8 customers and at least 6 waitresses standing/sitting around and no one has offered any service for 20 mins before i just walked out.

Cinco de Mayo and they were pouring margaritas from a premade container. Not fresh mostly store bought lime juice. We bought a round of 5 and not one person finished.
