Although this place is enlisted as Chinese restaurant in the Houston-Korean yellow page, they dont seem to specialize in the Chinese food at all. Even the owner said they cook all the kinds, and Chinese food is one of those. The food wasnt horrible, just okay, meaning not great either, and I wont recommend this place for ones who are looking for the Korean-Chinese food.

Never again! Like other poor reviews, this place has gone from decent to absolutely horrible. My families came from out of town and decided to pay a visit to Arirang (it has been a year since our last visit), we had a female waitress at first and she was pleasant, we were surprised that the side dishes were not free like other restaurants (you had to pay $1 per) but we were ok with it. We had 4 in our party and ordered several bbq dishes with a bibimbop, when we got our food the male waiter (worse waiter in the world!!!) brought us only 3 bowls of steam rice and when I asked wheres the fourth, he said you have rice in stone pot, why do you need another rice. I was like are you kidding me!? Then when the bill came, they charged me twice on the most expensive dish in hoping I dont pay attention and just pay it, ha yeah right. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!

This is the better Korean Barbecue restaurant Ive been to compared to the other one on Long Point. The unlimited refill meat was $18.50/person. We had 4 and ordered squid and octopus. the bill turned out to be a little over $100. We only got our water refilled once in the span of 2 hours, and they expected us to tip over 15%. When we attempted to tip $6 because of the poor service, the waitress gave us a hard time about it and suggested we tip 20%. That was horrible. The burner wasnt very hot, but it did cook our meat thoroughly, albeit it took atleast 5 minutes to cook the marinated pork. The chicken was sliced pretty largely as well as the pork and pork ribs. however, the beef was actually sliced pretty thin. I wouldnt mind eating here again if I had deep pockets, but with the economy as it is, right now, I cant do that again anytime soon.

This was the best experience Ive had at a Korean restaurant in Houston. Service was flawless, with needs (such as a tea refill) anticipated before we even asked. When I complimented the kimchee, our server brought us more. We ordered a mixed grill for our table to cook and share, and both the food and the side dishes were excellent. We visited for lunch and were still full for dinner. A mixed grill order ($55-60) should feed 4-6 adults, depending on your appetites. One note: we are obviously Westerners, and the sides were not very spicy-hot. This was actually fine with me because (like many Westerners) I dont like full-blast Korean heat. If youre not Korean and you want all the heat, though, you might mention this when ordering. We will definitely be back!

Prices were alright, but the food and service absolutely failed to deliver. I dont mind paying good money for food but holy hell. First of all i had to cancel our first batch of food because they didnt want to deal with us ordering for my wife some galbi or bugulgi because I had ordered the all you can eat special. They didnt want to deal with the hassle that i might share the all you can eat food with my wife and friends. After changing the order the food finally came out. I got the black bean noodles and even my wife has to admit the the instant noodles from home tasted better. The galbi came out searing hot which is great but lacked flavor and juice. We left without finishing half of our plates. We are never coming back.

So I used to visit this place on a regular basis 2 years ago, it was one of my favorites. I changed jobs and had not had an opportunity to visit. I had not been in the restaurant in about a year or so and I took a co-worker who had never had Korean food for lunch. I was so disappointed in the quality of the dumplings. This was one of my favorite items on the menu, they just did not satisfy like they used to. The fried rice was ok, but that’s is about it. The best item that was on the menu is no longer being served, the Steamed Buns. I hope they bring back the old chief and realize they are not very successful because they drastically changed the menu. Hope it gets better this was one of my favorite places.

THIS IS THE WORST KOREAN FOOD IVE EVER EATEN. WE WERE A PARTY OF FOUR AND DIDNT EVEN EAT HALF OF TGE FIRST SERVING ON OUR ALL YOU CAN EAT MEAT. IT WAS SO BAD THAT WE PICKED UP MORE FOOD ON OUR WAY HOME. MEAT DIDNT TASTE MARINATED AT ALL. MEAT LOOKED OLD AND TASTE BLAND. KALBI, my favorite, didnt have any bones and its suppose to be short rib. It was definitely cheap cuts of meat. And gross dont eat here if you like Korean BBQ. If no one is eating in a big restaurant in the middle of houstons china town shouldve been my first clue but the reviews werent bad so we thought wed try it. Never again. $108 dollars down the drain! Gross gross gross

I am never going back. Why it was horrible: 1. Grill had black unclean edges 2. I asked the owner to get a new grill and she told me the grill is fine and doesnt need to be changed, all the while wiping the old ashes off the grill 3. Waiters did not try to help us much. They gave me a plate of meat that was swishing in blood and I had to set the plate down myself. When the plate is full of blood --> why would you want me to carry it?! 4. Meat did not look fresh. 5. All you can eat Galbi was boneless Main reasons why I would never come back: It was dirty, unaccommodating, and not tasty.

It is my favorite Korean restaurant in town! Its cozy, charming, with a clean environment. Its a great place for families. On my recent visit, I found out that they are now under a new management and the service and also food is more enhanced. I am a frequent visitor and they have always met my expectation!! Price is great with very generous portions, try their dumplings, noodles and also great unlimited BBQ! I think this is the only place that serves unlimited Korean BBQ. Ive tried all other restaurants in town, but by far, this is the best Korean restaurant you can find in H town!

Ive been to this restaurant a number of times in the past, but when I went back a few weeks back, it was under new & better management. Their food tasted absolutely delicious, and the quality of meat served was definitely above average. Ive dined out at many (if not all) Korean restaurants in town, and I must say I have found my new favorite Korean restaurant. I can say that its a lot better than those older Korean restaurants in long point. Its a pleasant atmosphere to take family & guests on all occasions. I will definitely be going back next time, and every time Im in town.
