Tucked away in Houstons west side is a small slice of Korea. Inside the interior is well lit, with all the decorations of a restaurant youd see in Korea. Youre seated by a waitress, and then the fun begins. Theres a button on your table that you can use to flag down a waitress when youre ready to order and the service is quick, if not a little bit curt. The beer comes with some complimentary peanuts, and then our food arrived. We got the dduk-bo-yi, beef deluxe, and Korean wings. The dduk-bo-yi was amazing, very light flavors with just the right twinge of spice. The beef deluxe was great, accompanied by red rice (two bowls for the small order, four if you order the large). The portions for the beef deluxe arent big enough for a party of four unless you order extra food. The side dishes are fresh and compliment the food well. My only complaint was that the Korean wings didnt match my expectations. The flavor was good, sweet with a hint of spice. But it didnt have the crunch of a double-fried wing that Ive grown accustomed to. Would still absolutely order it again though. Tl;dr: Id recommend this restaurant for people interested in trying out some Korean food. Service is cut-and-dry, but efficient. Food is authentic and enjoyable. Great place for a group of friends or family

Went for lunch with my daughter and the first pleasant experience was the nice waitress. She was very inviting and attentive. I ordered the lunch special...daeji pork bbq and the portions and sides were exceptional. My daughter opted for the combo beef, pork and chicken grill special and she mentioned about the flavorful taste. We both shared the tofu soondubu with pork...which was good. For it being lunch, there were many side dishes, and the ajuma *waitress* gave us a small soup to try out....at the end of the meal we were given the traditional rice drink. Price is very reasonable, and I would go back again. It was very sweet of the ajuma to run after us and thanked us for stopping by.

Im trans, currently transitioning, and the woman at the checkout was extremely rude to me. As I went up to pay, she glanced down at my chest, then at my still-masculine face, and let out an enormous laugh, referring to me as sir for the rest of our interaction. Even if I wasnt trans, laughing in your customers face is just plain rude. I also waited my entire meal for a refill on my water. The food was only OK in my opinion, not nearly enough meat in my bibimbap bowl. The flavors were actually quite nice, but the proportions were a bit off.

A splendid dining experience. 6 man lunch get together. We ordered the large Kot Dae Ji deluxe. Listed for "4", we were all well fed and happy. This is a grill at your table option. Served with the classic Korean pickled sides and soups and rice. Our bill, with an appetizer of the seafood pancake which we shared and hot tea was $22 per person including tax and tip. The quality of the meat was excellent. Truly an outing that I would enjoy doing again soon. Go with a bunch of friends. Recommended.

I have only been to flower piggy for lunch and gotten soup but I will say that the spicy beef soup and dumpling soups are outstanding. The noodles taste homemade and the flavor of the soup is perfectly savory and spicy. The prices are not bad as well, especially considering the gigantic portion you receive. The food does take a few minutes if you have a group but not too long overall. Would highly recommend.

The food was great and service was awesome. Friendly staff, willing to show you how to properly cook and eat the dishes. They also include side dishes not served at other Korean restaurants (sauce dips, salads, purple rice). My 4 year old daughter wanted to ring their service bell and they didnt mind at all.. Highly recommend and definitely going back.

Good quality meat. Recommending the seafood pancake, marinated beef ribeye, and seared pork belly. Complimentary side dishes (the salad dressing is exceptional). Combined that with a cozy, family, down to earth environment, with a genuine service where you dont feel like the only reason they are servicing you is for tips.

I lived in Korea for a year and this place is awesome and authentic. Pricing is exactly what I expected, about $12 for each of our favorite entrees. Excellent side dishes. Wonderful service. We will definitely be going back!

Food was ok, but one waitress (old lady) very rude and awkward. Speaks good enough english. So not a language thing, But seems to go out of way to always give you rude/awkward comments. Dont recommend this place.

I love eating here. The boneless short ribs and seafood pancake are so good. This is my favourite Korean place in Houston. The salad and pork katsu are also out of this world. Definitely stop by to check it out.

Helpful, always available, great service. Delicious food. Main dishes are served with 8+ little sides (salad, kimchi, etc). Cook at your table or in the kitchen (be clear with your server if you want to cook.

Stirred fried noodles were good and the wine marinated pork belly. However the seafood pancake was soft. Great food by the way.

Worst Korean BBQ I have ever been in my life. Its pricy and low quality. Inside the restaurant smells like a spoiled fish.
