5☆ Atmosphere 3☆ Server 3☆ Food Loved atmosphere, casual, very cozy, very date night, in an older, converted home in downtown Conroe, TX. Exactly as other reviews described. Salad, was small, uninteresting, kinda meh. Dinner was very much like home cooking. Ordered veal and sea bass. Veal w/ linguini was a bit bland for us. The sea bass was good on flavor but texture was too soft; a reheat, maybe? Tiramisu custard texture and flavor was good, excessive coffee/liquid (not expresso) made ladyfingers too mushy; no liqueur or rum... (server did recommend eating right away) Server was stiff and a little awkward at first. It seemed he was going for "formal". We got "J" to loosen up a bit by the end of our meal and he was pretty funny. "J" made our night at the end, he was smiling and joking with us. We left on a high note, laughing at my expense, about how long it takes women to get ready. I offer some unsolicited advice to our reluctant or inexperienced server;(for what its worth) Dear, "J", 1.You are very tall; stand up straight, roll your shoulders back and hold your head high! This lends to confidence. Be confident/positive that you can make the customers experience special! **great experience = better tips 2. Make eye contact and smile, Smile, SMILE! You seemed like you were a little uncomfortable, at first. If you are uncomfortable or uninviting the customer will notice! **smiles w/eye contact = better tips 3. Relax a bit! You are in a cozy, romantic, CASUAL atmosphere; a converted HOME. Welcome customers into YOUR HOME for dinner! **feeling welcome = better tips 4. Try not to show disappointment if cusomers dont order wine and appetizers. I really like that you offered both. Great! BUT... Customers may have a budget or medical reasons to not order. Yes, bigger tab USUALLY means bigger tip; BUT NOT ALWAYS!!! 5. When mentioning specials, or ingredient lists - S.L.O.W. D.O.W.N.!! I like that you could list the specials, but it was dificult processing all that information! Slow down, make eye contact. If you watch people as you give menu items with contents, people will unconsciously give a nod to show they understand and invite you to recite the next item. Try not to list ingredients like you are reading a grocery list. **To conclude this short, albeit incomplete, long-winded guide: What would you like your experience with special person to be like? How do you want someone to serve your family? Try to have an enjoyable shift, (as enjoyable as work can be), it will come through to your customers. Happy customers, Enjoyable experience = BETTER TIPS!! Maybe even make your shift more pleasant, less dreadful.

Beware of what is in your food! Poor service! Had a salad to begin with and after a couple of bites found a long strand in my salad that had already made its way into my mouth! Not sure if it was a white hair or a piece of white nylon string. I was with my husband and another couple and was very embarrassed about it. It was anywhere from 5 to 7 inches long. Once the waiter came around, I described it to him and told him I couldnt eat it. He did nothing but remove everyones salad plate! No apologies or offers to bring me another salad! Everyone was appalled at the waiters lack of concern. Needless to say this will be the last time I, my husband and the couple we were with will eat here.

My wife and I love this place, we call it "Mama Italys," because you feel like your mom is waiting on you while youre there. The food is absolutely amazing, and we cant wait to go back again. This is the real deal, no other Italian food is even enticing after being here. In response to the one negative report here, Im not sure that a group of 20 would be ideal here, most nice restaurants arent, deal with it. That being said, Ive been in groups of up to 10 people and had an amazing experience. Its cozy, not commercial, so enjoy it, its quiet and friendly. Service is amazing, and she doesnt even flinch if you ask for something not on the menu.

Coming from the east coast i am a decent critic of authentic italian food. Joes is by tur far the best all around italian food i have had the pleasure of enjoying in Texas. 100% authentic, delicious, and family oriented. Portions are enormous and to the table quickly. We ordered Veal Parm and the italian sampler. My daughter got Alfredo and loved every bite. We all tried our hardest to scrape our plates but their was just so much food. Tiramisu and Canole are equally as good. Prices are insanely inexpensive.. If you havent tried yet your missing out

Me and my daughter found this place on the Internet , we didnt know what to expect , Once we entered we where overwelmed with the quant , and very romantic setting , I told my daughter that this was how a date should be done , tables where dressed with a fresh rose and candles (class) , then before or meal was served a piano player came out and played though our entire dinning experience , the food was pretty good the service was excellent, we sprung for desserts and it was to die for . IT NICE TO SEE PLACES STILL EXISTS LIKE THIS PERFECT.

The food was good but the service and salads need work , prices are moderate . The place is a small house in downtown Conroe , TX and during lunch they had a man playing a organ who is not to bad . I enjoyed my meal overall but was annoyed at the sound of crying children coming from the back of the restaurants on and off during the meal . The staff spoke English poorly and seem to have a difficult time taking my order which is annoying .

I have been a customer of Villa Italia for several years. Several times I have had dinner parties there. The food and service are always excellent. The owner (Norma) is warm and inviting. It is not a cheap restaurant, this is a fine dining experience. The cost of food is a lot less than the good restaurants in Houston, Dallas or San Antonio. In my opinion this is the best restaurant with the best food in the world. (Sorry Mom!)

My whole family loved it. And I was a hit for picking the restaurant. I love authentic and this truley is the place to go for authentic Italian food. They have only one location, so make sure you arent fooled by others trying to trick you to get you to some different location - the only Coronellis location is 203 Simonton St., Conroe, Tx, old downtown Conroe. Great stuff!!!

I first visited during a capital murder trial back in 2001. Norma ran as fine an Italian restaurant as I had ever dined in, it felt alot like those restaurants you see in the movie "The Godfather". The food and ambiance were straight out of the Mediterrean, you could close your eyes and feel like you were in Palermo or Naples. A real jewel. 5 stars all the way.

Food was ok.... Our waiter was very snotty and rude in our opinion towards us ...he did not make us feel welcomed . I guess bc we had kids/ who were pretty good .... The lady that filled up our drinks was very friendly .... I wanted to give the tip all to her. She rocked . The rating would have higher if it wasnt for him .
