Went for Sunday lunch. Not too busy and seemed to have a neat atmosphere.... but not the case! Service was generally slow. But the host, the hostess who sat us as well as our waitress, Sommer, were totally disinterested and very inattentive. No smiles, no eye to eye contact, they all just stared absently beyond us. We ordered a beer while waiting to get a cocktail menu - which was like pulling teeth … Everything is just normal priced … We have a full bar and can make anything … us: PLEASE DON’T YOU HAVE A COCKTAIL MENU YOU WOULD BRING US?!! Clearly the waitress was NOT interested in coming back until she absolutely had to. Eventually the beer was ready and she returned for the rest of the drink order. Dont expect any pleasant greetings or thank yous from this staff. Waitress did quietly thank us for coming and wished us a good day as she gazed absently out the window. Food was okay. Shrimp cocktail sauce was watery and yet very sweet. Fried oysters and shrimp were battered and pretty good. Waffle fries were cooked way too hard. Prices were fair. But, just not a pleasant atmosphere … they didn’t enjoy us being there and we didn’t enjoy being there either! Too bad.

Noticed the smell first, like urine. Dirty floors, no toilet paper in restrooms. Food over priced and all fish servings were dry and chewy. Had to ask for refills. Anyone know that you should never have disgusting restrooms. Do yourself a favor and not go. para la persona encargada del restaurante sucio una porqueria de lugar apestoso .camida mala pescado viejo sin sabor que lastima no recomiendo a nadie jamas ojala tuvieran un poquito de orgullo para servir la comida que cochinada de restaurante

Maybe Monday nights are not good nights to eat here. The food was mediocre at best. Shrimp app with sauce on it tasted like old shrimp or bad sauce! Had a bad/funny taste. My caesar salad was WARM, not COLD, the croutons in it tasted BAD/OLD not fresh or good at all. Their signature jalapeno soup was very watery and bland, not special at all. The grilled shrimp dinner looked more like sauteed shrimp, curled up on the plate--supposed to be large shrimp, they were very small and, again, NOT GRILLED. The steamed vegetables on my plate were COLD. We were a party of 8. The scallops were rubbery, not tender at all, the 2 filet mignons at the table were both over cooked and tough. Service was prompt enough but she wasnt overly friendly or anything. Didnt seem to LOVE her job, or even like it that much. The desserts were ok, nothing to write home about. Wont be returning there.

My husband and I came here because it was rainin and our parking spot was closest to this place. It was decent food. The atmosphere almost seems to be tryin to hard, and its a fairly small place. Service was slightly slow, but the restaurant was pretty busy. Now, for the food. We had fried pickles to start, which were good but super greasy! A tap on a paper towel or something would have done wonders for the dish. My husband ordered the blackened catfish, which was quite good. I, however, didnt really care for mine. Blackened fish tacos. The biggest issue here is that these tacos were in a flour tortilla. Ive had lots of fish tacos and not once in a flour tortilla. The taste was all wrong and the texture wasnt there either. Very disappointed by this, so I just dumped out the filling and ate it with a fork. Indont think we will ever go back. It just wasnt exceptional.

I dont care for seafood, but the Mr. does. I know I can find something other than seafood to have so I wasnt worried at all when we chose this place on a weeknight. I love the atmosphere - brick walls, hardwood floors, unique details......ooops......my addiction to HGTV has carried over to this review. Moving right along.....we sat at the bar and were greeted by an awesome bartender. We ordered our drinks (he makes a good cherry vodka sour) then ordered our dinner - the crab leg platter and the blackened chicken po boy. I had hoped to try a dessert, but no such luck since we were stuffed! Next time I plan on it though. Everything was great from start to finish!

Excellent food and service. Was visiting from out of town on spring break and was the best food I had the whole trip. Working for a seafood restaurant myself, I know a bit about good seafood. We tried the oyster poboy. Oysters were fresh and very soft. Also got the crawfish, which was amazing. Like hot food so got it spicy with sausage. My son got the chicken strips and they were very fresh. All meals were very flavorful. Staff was very friendly. Also, frozen margarita was sooo good! Highly recommend if you are looking for a great, affordable, and satisfying meal or drink!!

We love this place. The fish tacos are light and yummy, and the portions are big enough that you can share them. Youll want to, so you can try the fried oysters, which are also really top-notch. Love the ambiance of the place, with the exposed brick and wooden booths. I could do without the big screen TVs and never-ending sports, but hey, were in Texas. The service isnt always stellar, but I cant say its any worse than anywhere else. If you like the feel of a hole in the wall, youll be really happy with their reasonably priced, delicious seafood.

I called Big Fish to see if we could reserve a table for 13 for my husbands 50th surprise birthday party. I spoke with the owner Mike and he made sure that I got the upstairs private room and they put out all white linens all at no extra charge. My guests arrive before hand and when we arrived it was perfect. The waiter Joel was pleasant and ontop of everything as well as the food was wonderful. Big Fish made my husbands birthday very intimate and personnal and we would recommend doing another gathering there again.

I love this place and I eat at seafood restaurants all over the world! I always stop here if I have time before or after a DFW flight. Its a great atmosphere. All of my dishes have been superb. Im at DFW now after coming from All You Can Eat crawfish Wednesday. Excellent crawfish. Always good service. I guess anyone can have a bad day but dont take these negative reviews as gospel. And downtown Grapevine is charming with all kinds of shops. Meanwhile, Cajun Lovers, if in Addison try Nates!

Havent been there for a long time and this will be the last time. The bar drinks were awful. The red beans had sausage with little rice. I suggested they use ham and said wouldnt change recipe. I thought it was just my taste but my husband agreed it was not good. Hush puppies so overcooked. Totally a waste of money. When I complained wasnt asked if they could give me something else or make it right. We eat out a lot and this was the worst in a long time. P.F. Chang here we come!

We went on a Sat night with 7 people 3 kids. We were seated in 10mins. Staff was very friendly and the food is good and plentiful. The pasta specials were good and the fish tacos too. Please note the fish tacos are more like a big burrito somewhat different from other places. Full order comes with full large pieces probably enough for 2 people. Nice place for a calm dinner with kids and some comfort food in a place with not that many options. Dont expect a fancy restaurant though.
