I really wish this restaurant was somewhere else... the food is great, the service, not so much. like a previous review said the owner gets very agitated with customers. Im sorry, but im not paying you to yell at me (which has also happened to me). The main reason i will NOT recommend this place is because of the cleanliness.. Empress of China has been shut down 2 or 3 times i believe due to failing the health inspection. Roaches are the number one cause. And I know this because I used to work at another place in the same shopping center. Maybe its better now? they havent been shut down in a while, but from what I understand by people who still work there conditions at their store havent gotten better so im not sure why Empress of Chinas would have..... Sucks that the food is so good, but I just cant eat somewhere knowing they consistently fail health inspections.

Beware of your take out or delivery orders w/ Empress of China (Euless). They will cheat you out of your money by giving you less food when you place a delivery order. I placed an order of Mongolian beef ($12) and when I got it, I discovered that the Bottom1/2 of the container was filled with these tiny white crunchy rice crispy noodles. When I called the restaurant to tell them what I found, the manager said thats what they always do to help absorb the sauce from leaking out (that sounds like a bunch of crap to me). I paid $12 for 1/2 an order of DRIED Mongolian beef. I have never experienced anything like this with any other Chinese restaurants. I was cheated out of my money and all they do is act dumb like they dont understand English but they sure understand how to take your money.

I have been eating here weekly now for a year. I had gotten to the place where I detested Chinese food because it was just over produced, frozen-fried buffet MESS. THere is no buffet here and everything is cooked to order. Service is great and EVERYTHING is wonderful. I have tried almost everything on the menu and they never disappoint! My favorite is the Chefs Special Prawns...if you love shrimp, these are a must to order! Sweet and spicy! The prices are also very reasonable - under $10 for lunch which comes with soup and and eggroll. Dinner are larger portions around $12-$15-ish and no soup or eggroll. My husband and I usually order soups and share an appetizer like steamed dumplings and share a dinner entree because the portions are large.

This is and has been my favorite place to get Chinese Cuisine in DFW since 2003 when I first ate here. My favorite dish is their General Tsos chicken. I love that their chicken is all white, breast meat and in large chunks -- you will not get the strange Chinese food chicken that is gristly and in strange shapes here. Food is cooked in a very healthy and fresh manner -- bistro-like -- and their sauces are extremely flavorful and never overdone. Their crab rangoon is amazing and weve never been disappointed. I like in Keller and have eaten at every Chinese restaurant from here to Euless and there is no comparison. (especially not the bland, character-less Chinese Buffet that opened across from them)

Ive fallen back in love again with chinese food thanks to these guys!! I was never that impressed with the places like pei wei and PF changs is way to overpriced. The food here is delicious really fresh and tasty and it looks all nice and clean inside the restaurant. The staff is really nice no complaints there and the food is consistently yummy! Ive had the honey seared chicken and my boyfriend had the beef lo mein and we split some crab rangoons. We were both stuffed by the time we left and still had a few leftovers for the next day. And it sayd they deliver and do takeaway too! Hands down best chinese I have had since I moved to Texas and I wont be going to the chain restaurants anymore! :)

I like the food here and it is consistently good, usually! Tonight the waitress just rushed things. She was doing it to more then just us. I got mad and told the management when I was checking out, but they didnt seem to care either. How sad. Ordered Seseme Chicken which was good. the brocolli was cold. Brother ordered stir fry and said "it is just ok" The steamed rice dry and was not fresh either. All in all tonight was a 2 on a scale of 1 to 5. I will NOT go back. From now on I will go where my business is appreciated! It would have been better to eat at Panda then here. at least the people are courteous.

As with others, a place which used to be good, and a frequent choice, has deteriorated to awful and a "never again." One time, shrimp in lobster sauce was both loaded with MSG (I am allergic, a fact I express each time I dine on Chinese food) and broccoli (never before seen in this dish, anywhere). Last time, spareribs were FRIED, not barbecued; tasted awful. Service, too, has gone from good to haphazard. Not if they paid me to eat there!

I was not a fan of this place. I love hot and sour soup but theres is different it doesnt taste authentic. The chicken fried rice I ordered was a huge disappointment it was made with white rice NOT real fried rice. The meat was cut really huge...didnt enjoy it and I found a "discrepancy" in my food. Will not be eating there again. Not sure if it was an honest mistake but in the food industry people shouldnt find inedible things in there food

Prices are too high, especially for appetizers. Got a measly four shrimp for $7?? I dont think so. At least they could have done tempura shrimp correctly but the batter and cooking must be a joke. Waiter was unknowledgeable about authentic Chinese cuisine. They dont even use Chinese broccoli and had no idea what snowpea leaves are. You can tell the authenticity of a Chinese place by how many Chinese customers are here and there were none.

This place used to be fantastic.. Its gotten dirty, has poor service, and quality is no longer there. Last and final time I went, there was a hair around 4 inches long curled up in our wontons. When I politely pointed it out, the waitress didnt say sorry and acted like I was rude for pointing it out. I love supporting smaller businesses but they have to earn my business and not expect it. I will find another place for Chinese.

I think this place is an excellent value. The food was delicious. I ordered the tofu and vegetables with jalapenos in soy ginger sauce and fried rice on the side. It was the best tofu Ive had in years. The vegetables were fresh and the sweetness of the sauce complimented the jalapenos perfectly. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. First time in and already one of my favorite Chinese restaurants.

What can I say, dont want to play the race card. But. After having a good experience with thier food via call in order earlier in the week, I decided to treat a friend to dinner. I was seated and that pretty much was it set there for 15 and was basically treated as though I didnt exist. No Hi, no drink order just past right own by. Cross this one off the list.

Excellent food, comfortable modern decor, and the absolute best service I have had at a restaurant lately, has made this my new favorite place for Chinese food. The food was very tasteful with fresh ingredients, and the wonton soup was perhaps the best I have ever had. I will definitely be back and recommend this place highly.
