The food quality isnt the best, but far from terrible and the prices and the proportions are very reasonable. Going to Japanese restaurants is kind of a special occasion for me since it tends to cost more than I would like to spend on it, however I could see myself eating Japanese more regularly if more Japanese restaurants used Fire Xbox prices as standard. The atmosphere isnt amazing, but when you can get lots of good quality Japanese food for reasonable prices, who cares. In short, I probably wouldnt go here to take a girl on a date or celebrate a special occasion, but I wouldnt hesitate to come here for a casual lunch or dinner with a friend.

Wow! This place is an absolute treasure in East Dallas. The food is incredible, the staff is very friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the quality of food is superior to that of many larger restaurants. The ingredients are fresh and the flavor of the ingredients really comes through in their dishes. The food is not drowning in sauces or spices that are often used to hide inferior ingredients. They even have fresh herbs growing outside! They also take call-aheads, which is helpful when picking up larger orders. I have found my new "go-to" spot in East Dallas!

Fire Box is a gem in Lake Highlands. Very fresh and tasty food, and my wife and I pig out for less than $25. We drove by it at least a dozen times before having the courage to walk in, but once we ordered for the first time we were hooked. We probably eat there at least twice a week! Dont let the exterior fool you, this place is FANTASTIC!!

This place honestly is a lil gem in this area! I overly enjoyed the sushi and when I seen the hibachi menu I got excited! So I ordered two ribeyes and asked my meat to be cooked how I liked it. And neither was done right. I always give people the benefit of the doubt so I went back ordered it rare again and it still was given well done

This is really good. Im enjoying the steak Hibachi with spring rolls. The spicy mayo isnt as good as Ive had at two other places that I ordered it, North Dakota and Zenna in Dallas. Next time Ill remind myself to request the steak medium or medium rare as I forgot this time, didnt even think about it.

Food wasnt terrible but I guess I didnt expect the steak and noodles to be as abundant with onions and vegetables than the meat. The steak was good but there were too few pieces, and very small pieces at that. Also no trash can, so you just have to leave your dish there when youre done.

I was not expecting too much from this place but the food turned out well ... not the best sushi but for the price, its great. The daily special was delicious and very big portion. I couldnt finish it in one sitting. It was beef and chicken hibachi with fried rice. I would go back again.

Maybe i just forgot how small the sushi rolls are, still really good,but for the same cost in Rockwall we would have been full and taken home half a roll.(only had 2 special rolls) The hibachi plates are awesome, i guess i need to each shrimp udon along with 2 special rolls.

Really good food but today I was concerned about the "tweekers" hanging out inside the place. I was worried for our safety. The one girl was really high. I hope the management takes action. We like going there but todays visit was concerning.

Unassumingly delicious hibachi and sushi. My wife and I usually split an order of the hibachi chicken, with white meat ($1 extra), and a sushi roll, and this is more than enough food for both of us.
