This WAS our favorite weekend spot to grab a place to eat UNTIL TODAY. My daughter,my sister & I went for lunch and ordered the usual chicken teriyaki . While eating I found a DEAD WORM in my meal. I was so disgusted and grossed out. I placed it in a napkin and went to show the employees in the counter. The checkout lady took the napkin and threw it, and then the employees insinuated i was lying about having found it in the first place. They tried to make it seem like I placed it there for a free meal. The Barton Creek Manager has been notified and so has the health department. The way the employees acted was irresponsible.

I would say that Sarku Japan is the best restuarant in the food court at Barton Creek Mall. The food are delicious and very fresh, and I like how the line is pretty fast, even if it can be long. It is probably one of the most popular restaurants in the mall. I only get its special dish, which is the grilled chicken teriyaki, and it is really good and yummy. I highly recommend this dish to anyone who choose to eat there. You can see the chefs cooking the meat, which makes this restaurant very distinct and unique from other restaurants around the food court. I definitely would not mind going there every once in a while.

As much as I hate all overly sugared, salted, heat-lamped foodcourt grub, this place stands out the ONE thats good enough to make a special trip to the mall to eat. It helps that its all cooked fresh right in front of you. I highly suggest ordering the Chicken Teriyaki with extra vegetables (and extra meat if youre hungry enough). One caveat: Its the most popular eatery in Barton Creek Mall, next to Chick-fil-A, so the line can be ridiculously long on the weekends.

Terrible food. I got the beef & shrimp teriyaki fried rice, the rice consistency was mush, the meat & vegetables were slimy. The overall flavor could best be described as a thawed microwave meal put out to be cooked on a range grill. Granted, this is mall food, but Ive been to other Sarku establishments that provided much higher quality.

best Teriyaki chicken in the area. great price for a double-meat plate with fried rice can serve two people. Lines are busy most of the time which tells you how amazing this place is. its next to a bunch of other food places, and those other places ever have any waiting line, but Sarku is always busy.

Best food court item. They basically grill everything fresh, almost everything made to order, which is unusual for fast food. Also, because that one item is slightly less than other comparable items in the food court, every one gets it so they sell a ton of the teriyaki plates. And it tastes great!

I have given this place several opportunities to impress me, but no dice. The last time I was there, I paid extra for the "Double Meat." That was not the case because I could have saved that money for extra meat. It was as skimmpy as the regular order.

Dont eat here is nasty they have roaches in the teriyaki sauce and use dirty water to wash there Spachelor bad customer service the cashier has a bad attitude and the manager doesnt care

Just raise your price and buy better quality chicken...please. I pretty much threw away the entire chicken teriyaki plate because of the chicken quality. Flavoring was fine.

Ive had the teriyaki chicken here countless times and its so good every time. I absolutely love it. Make sure to douce it in chili paste from the bottle.

Get the teriyaki chicken, it is always fresh. There can be a line, but the wait is worth it. Staff is friendly. Ask for the coupon (buy 5 get one free)
