FRESH Uni and they offer Hamachi kama....and they deliver? Yes. (Relatively quickly too!) The uni is so fresh you only get the merest hint of the beach. It tastes almost like a briny mild mango custard which is what fresh uni is supposed to taste like. Hamachi Kama is the jaw of Yellowtail. It is the best, most lush meat.....and back home you had to make friends with the chef or owners to get it. The sushi is consistently ok to great. (different chefs?) But it is always fresh. There is more shrimp than pork in the Gyoza. The beef appetizer with beef and cream cheese is too unbalanced for me. Beef, crab stick, cream cheese, scallions, and teriyaki sauce all are very strong flavors and the nature of the dish means that the thinly sliced steak gets overcooked and chewy on the end pieces. I enjoy their tempura batter. It is still reasonably crispy even after being in a closed box and getting delivered. Maybe just a touch greasy but still a good flavor and texture. Overall, because of the delivery service and the food items that I know are good I will continue to order from here.

Service was very attentive and friendly without being overbearing and the food presentation was beautiful. Unfortunately, these were the only positives of our experience. We had an order of gyoza, small order of chicken fried rice, hibachi NY strip, and seafood teriyaki. Gyoza were basically fast Chinese food quality. The chicken fried rice had too many vegetables in it for a Japanese restaurant and had a strange sweet flavor that left a weird after taste. The NY strip was overcooked and BLAND! The miso soup (incl. with hibachi meals) tasted exactly like the Kikkoman instant miso with chopped green onion added. The seafood teriyaki had rubbery scallops. Also, based on both the flavor and texture of the vegetables on each plate, Im pretty sure theyre a frozen medley. Things like this are excusable at $10/plate, but not at the prices on their current menu.

Ive really never had a bad experience here, however, Ive been trying to call and place an order to-go for the past 10 minutes so I could conveniently pick up the order finished. Ive called at LEAST 5 times and the phone continues to ring with no answer. Totally inconvenient, why have a phone for a business if youre going to let it ring for 10 minutes? Since my boyfriend was already out, he went to the restaurant to order the food for me. Said there was maybe but 4 customers there, so I dont understand as to why no one answered in the past 10 minutes. Really frustrating and disappointing because this place is really great to dine in at. Food comes quick, servers are friendly, the food tastes great, and the prices during happy hour are unbeatable. But after today I wont bother ordering to-go for times when im in a time crunch.

Today was the first time Ive been here. I ordered the Sushi lunch special A and the beef teriyaki. Online ordering was super easy and the prices are phenomenal. They have great lunch & happy hour specials. When I arrived to pick up my food the gentleman who helped me was very kind and professional. The food was neatly packaged and the flavors were absolutely amazing. Some of the best sushi Ive ever had. The teriyaki beef had thick luscious cuts of meat with crisp veggies and perfect noodles. The seaweed, cucumber, fruit, gyoza, haru maki, and 4pc crunchy roll and miso soup were so very delicious. Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. This is now one of our new favorite restaurants. Highly recommend this place.

Typical american-esque Sushi. My server was not familiar with the sake options so had to get the restaurant manager to go over options with me. The mackerel sashimi is cured so make sure you know that and are not expecting fresh raw fish. The tempura was much heavier than some more authentic japanese tempura I have had. All in all it wasnt a terrible experience, its typical strip mall american sushi. There was a couple next to me that ordered the sushi sampler that arrived in a huge wooden boat - so if thats your expectation then youll be happy with Sushishima. If you are looking to find a more traditional Izakaya then you might want to keep looking.

Tucked away in the Vineyard Shopping Center Sushishima restaurant has a great verity of rolls and cooked cuisine, the original happy hour was also the best deal in town at 50% off drinks and food. Recently Sushishima has made some price changes and the Happy Hour has been decreased to 20% not as generous but still better than local competitors.

Overall a good experience. Waitress was a bit slow to refill water but thats understandable because we came during rush hour. The happy hour deal is the best in town. Wish they mixed up the playlist but no complaints here. Fish is very fresh and tasty! Great job sushishima!

Quiet and calm. The food is very close to authentic yet still great tasting. Prices arent to bad but Id expect to pay close to $30 for 2 people. The place isnt crowded when Im there so with that being said. Great place to have lunch or dinner.

The sushi was wonderful as well as the staff and atmosphere. I had an Alamo Roll, Crazy Roll, and smoked salmon and was blown away. The chef was also very nice and served me quickly ☺️. I will definitely be back.

Everytime we go. The food is delicious. Weve eaten the sushi, sashimi, and entrees. All fresh and flavorful. Good staff. My 9 year old loves the Yumi roll. Highly recommended.
