Ecellent food here!! Indian food has been on my menu for about 10 years. Been to some really good places and some places that were not so great. Typically, you only get good Indian food from traditional "sit down" restaurant environments, where you have wait staff tending to you. Here, you walk up to the counter, order, and they bring it out to you when its ready...usually 5-10 minutes. Theyll spend time with you to help you order if youre unfamiliar with the menu. This can sometimes cause the line to move slow, but rest assured, when its your turn to order, theyll spend as much time with you as you need to make sure you get what you want. The food here is really, really good. Many Indian people also eat here, which obviously says something about food quality and authenticity. Plus, theyve got a real simple kids menu too, with all of the typical spicy Indian food elements removed. Samia, the manager here, is awesome. Incredibly friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Danny is also awesome as well. **Side note** If you like Sriracha sauce, but you wish it was heavy on the garlic, more spicy, and a little oily, Id recommend getting a side of their Szechuan sauce. Its some really good stuff. They also make a fried rice dish that uses that sauce during the cooking of the dish. To date, I havent met an item on their menu that I didnt like.

Today was my second day in Austin, Texas and I really wanted to try Masala Wok on my first day. It was an anticlimax situation after visiting this restaurant. We ordered Chicken Manchow Soup, Chicken Lollypop, Chicken Manchurian, Chicken tikka masala and Rice. The Manchow Soup has no salt. I called the manager and she explained that the chef will put low salt. You need to add salt as per your taste. I never heard this concept when the chef does not add any salt and they leave it to the customer. Next, Chicken Lollypop- It was burnt from the outside and uncooked from the inside. I dont realy think it was marinated enough to get salt and spices inside the lollypop. Next, Chicken Manchurian - I guess, chicken was at least five days old. Stinking (EEW!) and tough to bite. The Manchurian gravy was nowhere close to the Manchurian recipe. Last, chicken tikka masala - This is the only item we could go down the throat along with rice. Honestly, I was expecting this restaurant to be like the popular Inchin Bamboo Garden, an Indo-chinese restaurant in Bay Area, California. But it was nowhere close. And the worst part - they started floor vacuum cleaning near our table. I requested them to wait to finish whatever we are eating. Good part, they did stop cleaning and blowing dust to our food. Thank you. I wont go there again.

I like, particularly, the tikka masla chicken. Ive tried several other of their Indian cuisine offerings, as well as Asian, and have never been disappointed with any dish as they are consistent in quality, freshness, flavor, and being served hot. I love their basmati rice; its true, long-grained basmati, and is tastily spiced. The nan is good, same for the samosa. Ive always found their restaurant to be clean, and the tables to be quickly bused. The lady who manages the Masala Wok at Arbor Walk is friendly and very attentive to her customers, and the staff are good at timely serving your meal. Take-out orders are, also, prepared and given to you promptly and are well packaged. Pricing is more than reasonable; serving size is generous. I like them as well as, if not better than, many "fancy" Indian restaurants costing considerably more and too often, varying in quality of service or food. Masala Wok has never failed to please.

Worst Masala Wok experience !! I have been in Dallas for 2 years and have visited Masala Oak quite often. I recently moved to Austin and was here with my friends for laid back lunch. The food was over cooked with loads of spices and tasted filthy. I have never had such a bad experience at Masala Wok before. Also, the staff was not very welcoming and hardly new the name of the dishes we had ordered. We kind of ended messing up our order. ** Make sure you ask for the served food and check if thats what you had ordered!!

Was completely not an Indian food fan until my boyfriend took me here one day. Goodness this place is good! The dishes are great portions and the food really is good! The staff is super friendly and nice, the owner even hangs around sometimes. The butter chicken is really good for those who dont want to dive all the way into Indian cuisine right away. I tried the kids fried rice the first time to be safe since they have Asian food as well as Indian food. The egg rolls are really good as well as the samosas!

Fast and casual Chindian (ha!) food in a nice setting. If youre debating between Chinese or Indian -- why make a decision, get both at Masala Wok! I havent eaten at the one at Arbor Walk, but the one at Tech Ridge is great. People are friendly, food is delicious (vindaloo and blazing noodles) are my faves. The clientele is usually Indian as well, which is always a good sign. Tip: if you like things really spicy, make sure they know, otherwise the medium is slightly less than other "mediums."

Worst experience ever!! first of all, their phone was engage for like 2 hours so I have to go all the way over there to give them order. I ordered 10 naan for guest and other food.I was in hurry so I didnt check my order their. When I arrived t home my guests were already there. When I open naan , they were just half naan packed in all 10 amunium foil so basically they were just 5 naans. It was so embarrasing for me. The food was not that good at all as well. never going back again ever!

Masala Wok has quickly become a favorite in our household. Their food is always fresh and delicious and service is always quick and courteous. We love the family-run atmosphere and prices are affordable. They have a diverse menu that has something for everyone, no matter where they fall on the spicy scale. I love that I can order delicious Indian food and my husband and daughter can order the Chinese dishes they love, all in the same restaurant. Pro-tip: definitely get the garlic Naan!

Affordable and delicious Indian Asian fusion meals. They have some good choices and varying levels of spiciness, so you can select the level of hotness you like in your food. The Southern curry and Dal were really tasty and come as a combo meal with rice and naan. Their samosas are deliciousness redefined with a well spiced filling and crispy pastry. I am yet to try any of their asian inspired meals but judging by the looks and reviews here it seems like they are pretty spot on too.

Worst Indian restaurant ever! Couldnt make a naan the Indian way. Not sure why this place has more than 4 stars on review. Indians, please leave your honest reviews. They couldnt make paneer the way it is supposed to be. Very chewy paneer and hardly found a few in the entire gravy. Tried Paneer Tikka Masala and Paneer Butter Masala. Both of them sucked. Please remove the "Indian" part from your restaurant name. They dont even carry pickle. What kind of Indian restaurant is this?
