Awful experience. The best part was the smell of "good food" when we walked in. The rest was downhill. After waiting about twenty minutes we finally got to order. Being my first time I asked the waitress what she recommended. She recommended a few things. I asked her some more questions and she simply stated the same sentence as the first time I asked for assistance. My girlfriend who has been to multiple Indian Resturants was much more helpful. Water was served with no ice the first three fill ups. I can understand once but three times. My girlfriend and I split the appetizer sampler and it was basically just deep friend mush. No explanation from our server what each item on the plate was. Spices were plopped down with no explanation as to what they were. When I asked the waitress what each of the spices where she couldnt tell me. We ordered two different entrees came and both where very blend, no spices or herbs... Just intense heat..The Nam was decent. The white rice may have been the best thing on the table. Which is sorry at best. While we were eating the main course the server came back twice after leaving the main course The first before either of us had taken a bite. The second after we picked through about a 1/4 of our entree. After telling her we thought the food was awful a man approached. Im going to assume that he was the manager. He never said. He promptly removed one of the offending entrees without asking. Came back five minutes later mumbling about how the dish was suppose to be buttery and rich... He ended up taking 50% off of our 50$+ bill. No apology or anything like that. A dollar menu burger and fries would have yielded better tasting food and more friendly and punctual service. As stated before it was my first time trying Indian food and it I will try it again however it will not be at any Abb Indian Restaurant franchise. My girlfriend who has had Indian food at 5+ Indian Restaurants in the states and abroad agreed that the food and service we received was awful.

I arrived today at 2pm at the Bexley location after my eight year old daughter and I left the library to have a late lunch. I saw that the new location of AAB was finally opened. I was super excited to visit this location and enjoy lunch on the patio. They offer a buffet, but Indian bufetts never do it for me so I opted for a menu. When we arrived a Bengali or Indian gentleman was near the door. He did not offer to seat us. I asked if the patio had tables available and he said Yes. I advised him I would like a menu and he said someone would bring it to us. A polynesian/asian woman brought us our silverware and she wasnt very friendly. A black, bald man brought a menu and advised they were closing in 30 mins. Which I did not realize, but my daughter and I were starving, but the way he said it was like he expected me to hurry the hell up or leave. I am so disappointed in their service. I ordered Lamb Korma (M Spice), Keema, Mango Chutney, Mango Milkshake for my Dads daughter which was not a milkshake and was very watery. She barely drank it. My other food was consistent and good like the Grandview location. I barely touched my food when it arrived, because I was so insulted by the service. Six mins later I asked for to go boxes and gave the black, bald guy my debit card. Which he did not even offer to box my food *rolling my eyes*. When he brought me my debit card and bill to the table then he wanted to inquire if "I felt rushed?". I said "Yes". He proceeded to defend his actions.... So I am thinking to myself you only asked, because you were worried about that tip?????!!!! I tipped 20% , because I used to serve and I respect other servers. But this was the worst service EVER. The Grandview location that I go to the staff is so nice and polite. This is totally different. I wont be back to this location. I am considering avoiding AAB all together.

The food was AWESOME! Ive always been afraid to try Indian food because my stomach cant handle a lot of spice/heat. I ended up caving and going last night for my boyfriends birthday because he has been craving it. It is really great how you can pick your spice level. I had the Scallop masala mild (not spicy at all) and the boyfriend had the lamb curry (he picked the level 3-4 of 6 in the spicy scale) Not only did I destroy my meal but my son (who is mostly a raw veggies bread and rice only eater) was able to find something . The waiter had him a salad made that was piled high with veggies and he loved the naan and rice. With all of the raves to the food the thing that made our experience a 5 star over the top rating was our waiter. He was patient, explained everything and went out of his way to accommodate my picky 4 year old. I told him it was my boyfriends birthday, in secret, and asked if they had some sort of cake or something for that and he said no but he would think of something. He came out with a gulab jamun, a fried cheese ball soaked in honey syrup served warm, with a candle in it for my boyfriend to blow out. The food was amazing but the experience the waiter provided was what is going to bring us back time and again!

Part 1 of my review of AAB. See below. Bottom line, I have a severe food allergy ( I told them 4 x about it) , and they willingly served me food filled with onions...which wreck my life. My allergy, I cannot eat any onions. I begged my wife to eat at AAB, based upon all the great reviews, she agreed. Facts: #1:I cannot eat any onions, or else I will have the worst night of my life. #2 I made my onion/food allergy clear to the serve immediately. I asked the server 3 times for advice on dishes do not contain onions. It was very clear that she did not understand the severity of my request, so I asked her to consult with the "chef" about what entree had not onions. The chef/server recommended a entree. I ordered the entree, based on the Chefs recommendation. We are all huky dory at this point yo....Im feeling like Im in love withe AAB. Im good to go....I expressed my food allergy 4x already. Just wait for part 2 previe.. The manager of the restaurant...she wants to dismiss the fact that her chef served me a plate full of onions.I confront her about my food allergy...loser....She physically grabs my arm...... Video later. AAB sucks a big fat.......

My first time here. They told me when I got there that they were closing soon. I hadnt realized that I arrived right before their closing time. They asked me to come in and eat from the buffet. I thought this was very nice of them, so I was prepared to tip 25% for their efforts and time. I sat down to enjoy my meal being mindful of the time. Having been a server before, I was totally aware of the staffs anticipation of closing time and I was prepared to leave as such. However, I didnt appreciate the server giving me a two minute warning that they were about to close while I was eating. I didnt see the server go to any other patron in the restaurant and give warnings, he only gave one to me. How rude! I was a server, for years. Ive had people come in before closing and Ive never given them a warning while they were eating. If they came in during the hours of operation, I served them to the best of my ability. Im a paying customer and if you didnt want to serve me, you shouldnt have let me in. Needless to say, that 25% tip went down to 15%.
