From the outside the place doesnt look open and a little run down. The inside isnt fancy but offers a nice place for a group to gather and get a great meal. It has a small lunch buffet with 2 types of soup, a salad bar, nice selection of several main course dishes, and 2 choices for dessert. All you can eat for $8.99. I also noticed that they have a special one night during the week for $8.99. The soups looked interesting and the one I tried was tasty. The Sambhar was hot, spicy, and delicious. Matched with a piece of Naan bread makes for a good meal or starter. Each item of main course was kept hot enough that it was steaming when brought to the table. The choices included some spicy dishes along with not spicy items. All that I tried were very flavorful. The desserts were a little unusual. Neither were sweet and not what I expected.

I reached around 2:10 pm. The restaurant will be open till 2:30 pm. I started having my lunch...after 15 minutes, waiter came to me and asked me...do I need more food? I told him ..Yes .. I will have more food.. The waiter told me to take the food in some plates which i want to have ... How awkward will that be.. They dont have minimum common sense to wait till the customer finishes his lunch !! It hardly takes 10 more min to complete my lunch.. Worst restaurant I have seen so far!! The food is very bad !! Not even one dish is good.. They have uttapam in their buffet .. They dont have chutney in their buffet to eat uttapam.. I wonder how they think that people eat uttapam without chutney!! People ... dont ever go to this restaurant !!

worst service. manner less owner. we visited this restaurant some time back. we called for buffet. and reached on time. while entering they did not say anything. then after we realized there is no chicken gravy and few items left. when I asked for it, manager said wait for few minutes. the time never come. because of that reason i asked for some discount. they clearly said NO. I mentioned that online reviews are very important. it doesnt work. thats fine. while we were going and set in the car. Owner(bald man) came and said " DO WHATEVER you wanna do like online rating or anything". Now it is up to all of you who wanna go to this place. plus food is costly and not fresh. Id have done lot many but i dont care.

It is really not a GREAT restuarant as the name says. I am a regular customer to the restaurant. They literally charge you for EVERYTHING. The young man at the counter also charges for cracking a smile at the customers. He really needs to learn some respect and treat the customers well. They are not running a charity. We pay for what they give and also for the poor customer service.

Yum! The food here is delicious! The buffet could definitely use some work and the interior of the restaurant is less than desirable but their individual items are fantastic. I only lower the rating because its a bit over-priced and they nickel and dime you for everything. We got the chicken tikka masala and it was fabulous. Would definitely recommend.

I cant say enough good things about The Great Indian Restaurant! Their lunch buffet has great variety of curries and its a quick place to eat if youre in a time crunch. And theyve got a great dinner menu which they can really spice up if you request it hot. Definitely a QC favorite!

The restaurant is always hit and miss, this time, like most times, was definitely a miss. The buffet was still open for another two hours, but there was hardly anything on it and what was, was dried out and hard as a rock. When its good, its awesome, but most of the time, its not.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE INDIAN FOOD! I make it at home, but not "from scratch." This place has a lunch buffet w a devoted following and does a LOT of carry out. Only a few Indian restaurants in town and I love their specials. Consistant food and well managed.

I was new to Moline/Davenport and was really amazed by the quality of the food there. Decent place with great variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Fairly priced with good quantity. Would definitely revisit when in the area.

This might be the best Indian food Ive ever eaten. But its not congruent to the setting. Buffet really small, hardly any meat dishes. But I went up 3 times and mourned I could stuff no more food down my throat. It was so good.

Great India food! Always enjoy the vegetables cooked with curry and your choice of meat, if any and served with rice. For beverages, suggest either the Indian tea (black tea with milk) or the Mango drink (with cream).

And excellent, savory tasty buffet with meat and vegetarian selections. Salad, soups, appetizers, desserts, naan bread, basmati rices and beer & wine. Great place for a quick lunch or to get as takeout

One of three Indian restaurants in the Quad Cities and the one I visit most often. The buffet at lunch has a nice variety. Love the biryani for dinner and carry out.

The buffet is Delicious! It gets busy with the John Deere crowd for lunch but after the rush, its not busy. Exceptional food for reasonable price.
