I really like the food here, but the service is hit or miss. I think some of the service issues are actually kitchen issues. Order dumplings, and it takes FOR-EH-VER. That being said, the dumplings are awesome. Its got all the normal Chinese food type offerings, plus some fancy items, plus some pretty good sushi. The atmosphere is nice but sort of too busy and disjointed and not really well thought out, unlike how many Austin restaurants now are. Delivery is also hit or miss. Ive had a miss (they were very, very, very, very late on a night when I was watching the toddler all by myself), which probably shouldve resulted in a discount or my next order being partially comped. Instead, I just dont really order delivery from there anymore. Again, really excellent food. High quality stuff. Premium offerings. A bit expensive for those, if youre just wanting a cheap Chinese food meal, but they are great.

This restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. It is an attractive place with professional staff. The quality of their food is consistently very good, always finding ways for indulging their customers. Today they served me "Sony Chicken", a chicken I am naming after their charming and helpful maitre. I requested a Sesame chicken with the sauce on the side because I wanted a less sweet version of that dish. Instead, Sony created a dish that in many ways surpasses their already outstanding Sesame chicken. The rest of their menu is also very good. Their service is good.

Chinatown on Bee Cave. Rd was the very first restaurant I ever eat at when I moved to Austin in April of f 1985. It was fantastic. Ive been to all Chinatown restaurants over the years and swore there was none better in town. After today, in my opinion, if the Bee Cave kitchen doesnt get better supervision they may be in trouble. Been eating Chinatown for 32 years. Today was disappointing. Come on Ronald. You can do it.

My edamame was half freezing cold half hot. It was disgusting. After they brought that appetizer and I realized they didnt know how to make it properly I refused to order anything off the menu. My husband said the lo mein was ok. The ceilings are open and you can see all the pipes and insulation. This restaurant doesnt deserve to be in Westlake. I would have given negative stars if I could.

Go here for lunch sometimes. They got rid of their daily specials which is unfortunate but their typical lunch menu is great! Really just your normal Chinese selections but they were able to make some dietary accommodations for me which I appreciated (sauce on the side, extra veggies, etc.). Fancy atmosphere and a tad pricey. Id like to make it out on a weekend sometime for their dimsum!

Chinatown Westlake is open again! In a new location just down the street from the one that closed a few years ago on Bee Caves Rd. (its actually the very original location from more than 30 yrs ago). The restaurant is open for lunch, dinner and even dim sum on weekends (like Chinese tapas small plates, but served on rolling carts...very fun for weekend brunch!). Serving sushi too.

I really like their food. The service has always been very wonderful. I have taken large parties to the restaurant and they have always treated us well and never screwed up our orders. This may also sound weird but their water is good. They filter it and it doesnt taste like gross tap water like most places.

Nice place. clean bathrooms Great food. inexpensive prices Quick service. My only complaint is some people brought there whinny shitty kids in and kinda ruined the vibe. But I will still come back 10000000 times.

Love this place while they were open. Ive eaten there since I was in high school.... sadly they closed recently although the other two locations (5th street and above Musashino) are still open.

Its my go-to for Sunday Dim Sum. They have things Ive never seen before at other local places with that Sunday offering. If youre into that, try their eggplant+shrimp item.. Daaaaang!

I found a dead spider in my rice. I was here on a company treat. The food was tasty but later in my visit I noticed a dead spider in my rice. Never did I see a manager.

Very well dresses atmosphere. Plates are decent sized and reasonably priced. But nothing really stood out or seemed original about the food.

Not overly impressed with this place, the service is good though. I just think the food is not as good as other Chinese places I have been
