Second time there, first time had a hamburger for lunch, it was good so decided to take my wife for dinner and try the Italian side of the menu since they call it an "Italian" restaurant. When we arrived we were told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait, OK, thats fine even though at least 5 tables were empty, maybe they are short on staff Im thinking. went to the bar ordered a margarita rocks no salt. Came in a pint glass, think about it, a pint glass with one ounce of tequila, 6 ounces of mix and the balance ice. If I had wanted a limeade thats what I would have ordered. When we were seated, within the 15 to 20 minute time frame at the table that had been empty when we arrived, Brittany came over and introduced herself as our server. She checked to see if we needed drinks, no thanks I have enough limeade right now, took our appetizer and main dish order. Tick Tock, had to ask for a basket of bread, everyone else had one why not us, Tick Tock, food arrived. Brittany asked if I needed another drink, yes, I said but please bring it in a proper rocks glass, I explained. Food was average, we ordered the veal marsala, received chicken instead, and lasagna. Probably try them again but will order the hamburger, did I mention it was good?

We shutting the racism down! Please if you experience racism please tag the business or location. They say we dont march no more just sit back and watch! So with that being said nobody go to cafe Fontanelle unless you want to be racially discriminated. We were put out for wanting better service. People ask what I did the employer stated she just ask for a manager. And the outcome was the manger screaming at me and had me put out the restaurant. Im like wow! They are RACIEST. They sat us in the back around 3 dirty tables we had no silverware as well and I waiter came to the table 1 time in 20 minute time frame with hard rolls that could break a Window. BLACKS Stay AWAY. Please share!!!! Someone stated in the reviews why there reviews are not good because their service sucks. They have no Class. Just wanted to add this was on tape. The manager name is Tracy and the waitress jazzmine. Horrible service in the middle of no where. You want Italian food its Carrabbas if Greek you got to have Athens and if a burger its Burger republic but if you want a steak with no budget its Ruth Chris or Chop House which is way more affordable. Either way they give great service.

So disappointing! This has been a go to place for us for years - no idea what has happened but it was not good. We may not be back. Mom took me for my Birthday, we arrived early 4:30ish, only one other table seated with 4 at the time, so it wasnt busy. My mom tells the waitress its my birthday dinner in conversation, and she never even acknowledge that she had spoke to her. We order apps, drinks and dinner. Dinner was the Beef Filet GF $28, which is stated to be "Center Cut Beef Filet" - (and i swear I think it was roast beef under all that gravy) I ordered it MW to M, it arrived MR- R and bland. Another employee, other than our waitress, I assumed management, came by and asked how things were. I explained the steak issue, and she said "yeah I can see thats almost rare, i will let the cook know." And did not offer to reduce or comp any part of our meal. I never even thought of checking the reviews for Fontanell - but I sure wish I had. This is certainly no longer a "wow that was great" restaurant and that makes me sad!

The food is incredible so I cant imagine why it doesnt get better reviews on here. The Eggplant Rolotini is ridiculous! The ONLY reason Im even writing this is because their website doesnt have a spot for feedback. We love the live music, its great, free entertainment. Its just too dang loud. Turn down the mikes, please! This is a somewhat small room that sound would carry in just fine without the microphones being pumped up to 11 during dinner time. Forget about talking to whoever you are dining with because you cant. The waitress got our drinks and both meals wrong because she couldnt hear us over the music! We didnt even blame her because you could tell that she was a little annoyed that she couldnt hear anything we were saying. The first time we went we took our daughter and she had her hands over her ears the whole meal. Its a great place to eat and could be romantic if they just set the mikes to a reasonable level so people could talk to each other.

I ate here a year ago and the food was delicious other than the pizza which had sweet tasting sauce on it. I didnt even finish my plate today because the Pasta sauce was disgusting even my boyfriends Pasta tasted terrible, the sauce tasted like canned ravioli sauce. Anyone who has ever had authentic Italian food/sauce knows that the sauce is not supposed to be sweet. Being Italian and coming from an Italian home with real Italian food.... I would never probably come back again. Heres a little hint for yall if youre reading this garlic and salt in your meatballs and especially the sauce, maybe little Parmesan cheese in your meatballs too...they tasted like dog meat and like they had been boiled in water they were gross with no flavor dont forget add garlic lots of garlic no sweet sauce EVER!

Great place to get a bite and have some drinks. At around 7:30pm, they usually have a live performer playing music. The quality of that music just depends on the performer, theyre all local talent. For the most part the live music is good (albeit a little loud) but not really conducive to sitting around talking. If youre looking to catch up with friends or family, get here before the music starts and youll find the place quiet, clean and with helpful staff that keep an eye on you. If youre wanting to have a good time, listen to some free music and have a few drinks with your friends or family, this is a great place to visit.

This a ok place to eat if your in the area but food is not worth a drive out of your way. I had the ravioli plate in red sauce and drink. If the ravioli made on site they were not made fresh today if so the pasta was over worked make the pasta very dry. I fell they likely make them once or twice a week. The red sauce is can crused tomatos with little a basil and put in a warmer. A true italian red sauce will have a lot better seasoning. The drink was the same flat. This meal with 15% tip was $20.00 for a lunch. I would recomind most chain Olive Garden in the area then the trip to this place.

When I made our reservation for a large group, I was asked if it was a special occasion. I told them it was a birthday. When we arrived, we immediately received special treatment. Our table was ready with tablecloths and centerpieces. We were treated well the whole evening. The food was excellent. Everyone at our table had something different and all 12 of us were very happy with our choices from the gluten-free pizza to the fennel crusted salmon. The desserts were fabulous. Definitely a great place to take a large party for a special occasion.
