Very deceiving. Just because the rating is 4.6 the restaurant has a 4.6 appearance but doesnt meet a 4.6 all around. The food was definitely sub-par. (Salmon, Scallops). There was no flavor. It was almost as if the kitchen didnt have any salt or other seasonings in it - only premise sauces (chimichurri). Food came out and was fairly cold... for a roasted chicken half, it was cool enough to bite right into. Servers are a 4 star ... easily. Bartender was the worst. Asked for vodka with lemonade. Bartender didnt have lemonade... (how hard is it to swueeze 1/2 a lemon, put a tablespoon of salt and water then drop in the vodka....) Instead ordered a specialty drink and that was TERRIBLE. I advise against. It tasted like acid and sugar. Didnt drink my drink after 1 sip and waiter never addressed why I left a full drink when the check came. All-in-all, from the food and the drinks... things were definitely overpriced. Rooftop area is very nice. Disclosure that its hard to book as well as you will hear sirens VERY LOUD and more than expected since its a major intersection. Also, the wait for food was particularly long. The only thing I would give 4.6 rating to is the physical appearance of everything (servers uniforms, table settings, the building as a whole, and food presentation). But with the wait time, sub-par food, horrible drinks, unskilled bartender, Id definitely never go back and strongly advise against anyone else going here. A good executive kitchen manager, souschef, and mixologist would bring this place really up to a 4.6 or higher!!

My husband and I had dinner at the Watermark this weekend after having our 10th anniversary trip to Chattanooga canceled because of our sons baseball team unexpectedly advancing in their tournament here in Nashville. So, based on the recommendation of the manager at the restaurant wed planned to attend in Chattanooga, we made a reservation at the Watermark and were definitely not disappointed! We were greeted at the door by the hostess with a little card that said Happy Anniversary, handwritten by one of their staff wishing us happiness and telling us to let them know if they could do anything for us; then someone came by with complimentary champagne for us so we could toast our anniversary. The food was great. We each ordered a different appetizer and entree so we could sample more than one thing, and everything was superb and came out very quickly. Our server was very knowledgeable and helped us select a glass of wine that would go well with our dinner. After our entrees, we enjoyed a cheese plate and then two different desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious and we left very little on any plate! :) This was our first experience as "beginner Foodies" and we loved it. A great memory for our 10th anniversary. We will definitely go back when we have special occasions to celebrate.

Theyre closed on sundays. I came back on a monday night, they asked me if I had reservation, I said no, coz im from out of town. The hostess was very friendly and gave us a table. Love the ambience, full of people, but not noisy. Its great place for business talks or bringing a date. They have a huge selection if wine list, and its dark in there so its hard to make out the words. The waitress help us with the wine selection. They recommended the grit souffle, I think its alright, coz Ive had better ones (creamy grit from Scarpetta in beverly hills, ca) My coworker had the lamb and I had the duck leg. Their food decor is good, my duck leg is very tasty, not salty and not too much sauce. It was cooked perfectly. Tasted my coworkers lamb, it was just alright. I would give 3.5 stars fir the food, but since their service is good, and the people are nice, I give them a 4 stars.

Service and management attentiveness is outstanding at this restaurant. They did a great job with making their customers feel appreciated and cared for. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars if it werent for the food errors on my first experience. I ordered my Ribeye steak medium-rare and it came out well done the first time. The manager and server felt badly about the steak. They brought out another steak after a few minutes, but the 2nd steak was cooked medium-well. I think the cook was just having an off day ... I hope. I didnt really enjoy the meal and only ate one-fourth of the steak. The nice thing is that the restaurant did not make me pay for the entree. Other than that, everything else was a pleasant experience. I will certainly go back and give this restaurant another chance. Thanks.

Our nice lunch was interrupted by one of your waitresses at the next table having a loud conversation with other diners for the entirety of our meal...we heard about her travels, school, food she likes, restaurants, blah blah blah blah...while its nice for the servers to be friendly...they shouldnt be distracting in anyway...it was hard to carry on a decent conversation, with this woman going on about her life....I guess she wasnt very busy....at those prices at least we should have been able to enjoy the meal with our own conversation rather than listening to this server endlessly talking about herself....unhappy.....and yes you can post this....

I dined with a group of 4 on 5/26/16. The food was fantastic all around. Ive worked in the service industry for close to a decade, and Im not sure I can recall the last time I recieved such fun and engaging service from a staff at a restaurant of this caliber. The food was excellent, however, our server Demarco and the rest of the team stole the show. Its so refreshing to encounter individuals that truly enjoy their jobs, as well as a management team in the operation working the dining room floor to ensure complete satisfaction with their guests experience. This being said, we will certainly be back, as the service level and food were exemplary.

I attended a business dinner at the Watermark on Nov 1st, and it was a fantastic experience. I live in NC and have had a difficult time finding restaurants with both excellent food and service. I usually dread these types of dinners, and I was pleasantly surprised. The Watermark was perfect. The food was outstanding with a nice Southern flair. The service was outstanding. The wait staff for our party was great (drinks immediately refreshed, etc.). It was refreshing to see that all of the staff acted as part of a team. I tore a tendon in my foot a few weeks ago, and I found the restaurant to be very accessible with an elevator, etc.

Having tried most all of the new restaurants in Nashville, this is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Since the return of Chef Joe Shaw, the Watermark is at its Best..one of the chefs came from the world-renowned "French Market" restaurant. Loved the grit souffle with goat cheese and shiitakes, the quality scallops and fish prepared with farm fresh/local veggies and sauces...ok...I seriously was moaning with every uniquely prepared dish, if not bite, of everything placed before us....yum!I suggest you all treat yourself to some fine Holiday dining. Foodies will not be disappointed.

Was here for a rehearsal dinner, so the experience is different than if we dined here as a regular customer. The food was great! To start: the grit soufflé is amazing (the bacon bits on the side really elevated the dish), as is the butternut squash soup. For main course: the petite filet was cooked just right; the chicken with risotto on bottom was tasty (a little on the salty side, but delicious). The dessert: the dark chocolate cake and vanilla cream brûlée were so good - great way to top off the meal. Parking was hard to find, so leave the car and uber if you can.
