Where to start... Quick review: No taste to the steak, Green Beans tasted old, Beer tap list was less then your typical hole in the wall place, Environment is NOT a 5 star makes you feel more like you are in a Chilis or another sports bar like restaurant. Terrible date idea unless you want to yell to your date... in depth review: Well for a 50$ steak, I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I got the Filet it was VERY bland almost no taste at all, so I added salt and pepper to it to make it a smudge better. I ordered it to Medium Rare, it came out brown on the outside then purple on the inside (means the cook was cooking on far too high of temp). The Green Beans were soggy on one end then hard on the other The atmosphere was too loud from both the kitchen sounds, and the other tables... I expect a nice stress free environment if my tab for 2 people is 200$+ Our server was short worded, treated us like we were just numbers, not actual guest ( I get better treatment at McDonalds) The wine list is far over priced, lots of 2013+ wines that were 200+ bucks a bottle yet at the store are not even 40 bucks. The one thing it has going for it is location. I hope they get new owners that actually care about the guest experience SOON! I will never return here, I will take my money to Ruth Chris or one of the MANY other choices at this price point.

After going to a concert last night, my girlfriend and I decided to try the Palm for the first time. On the positive side, our waiter was excellent. He gave his recommendations, was very friendly and the service was crisp. The bread was ordinary: not fresh and a little chewy. As a first course I ordered the lobster bisque and my girlfriend an Ahi Tuna salad. The bisque was a bit too thick for my liking, but tasted ok. The Ahi Tuna was quite nice. For a main course, I ordered Veal Parmigiana and she ordered Sea Bass (I know, were supposed to order steak, but it was 10:30 PM and neither of us wanted a heavy piece of meat). Both were ok, nothing to rave about and certainly not worth the price ($30 for the veal and a little more for the fish). We each had 1 drink and I had an iced tea. We passed on coffee and dessert and the check was $160, much too high for the quality and # of items that we ordered. At that price, next time well be going to Mortons or Ruths Chris instead....

Couldnt get past the service to the food! Wandered in here on Thursday with a friend because it looked like an interesting place. We were told it would take about 10 minutes to get a table for two. We waited for 40 minutes in the entryway watching 60-70 people who came in after us get seated. Checked in with the hostess multiple times (who spent a lot of her time chatting with one of the male staff members) but she didnt even seem to be interested in giving us an update other than telling us that we would have to wait. Eventually we decided to leave. I dont mind waiting for a table, especially if a place is good. But dont tell us it will be 10 minutes if the wait is an hour. Or if you made a mistake, at least apologize and give an update rather than just blowing people off. Also, it is unusual to see that many people come in after us and get seated if we are only a party of two. Im not likely to ever try this place again.

My boyfriend and I ate at Palm this past Saturday after hearing is was good from a neighbor. The entire experience was one of the best dining experiences Ive ever had. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable, our server even went out of his way to serve us ice cream with our creme brulee, as this is apparently the traditional way to eat it. Prices were high but I feel we got what we paid for, considering the night as a whole. The beef carpaccio was delicious, and the veal martini was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Drinks were excellent, creative and not too boozy. Our only complaint was the tables were close together, offering a much more intimate meal. Luckily our table-mates were personable so this didnt bother us much. I would recommend Palm to anyone looking for a night of fine dining in the downtown Nashville area. Worth every penny!

An embarrassment to my home town. A terrible dinning experience. The food was substandard at any cost let alone a fine dinning restaurant. My wifes sea bass was over cooked and tasteless. My veal parmigiana tasted some one dumped a cup of sugar in the marinara sauce. I sent it back and it was replaced by a veal piccata that was not a lot better... the mushy replacement tasted like it was breaded hours before and fixed in a skillet of oil that was not hot enough. The service was poor, no manager present to apologize for their mistakes and the waiter did not offer to reduce my bill or comp us desert or anything. My guests also commented on how they would not go back.

I planned a special birthday dinner and Springsteen concert for my wife. We had dinner before at the Palm. We sat in the loudest part of the restaurant I believe. Could not get another table as restaurant was at capacity and no time to wait. The table was just inside the restaurant to the left of the front hostess area. We paid $160 for food while yelling at each other to carry on conversation. I have had better seating and less noise at a sports bar! Went to the Palm for 30 year anniversary several years ago and used the private room. It was great but this trip was awful and wont go back unless better acoustics can be guaranteed. Overpriced for terrible ambiance.

Great place. My husband decided to eat her 10 minutes before they closed on a Wednesday night. I tried to talk him out of it but he insisted because he wanted a " good steak" and we were leaving the next day to go home. The employees there were super friendly. I thought they wouldve acted annoyed that we were so rude to come that late but they were so nice. My husband even " nicely " complained that they didnt serve " real southern sweet tea" so the waiter went and made him some himself and it was perfect. The food was great too. We left very happy. I only wish I could remember the waiters name. He was so accommodating. I highly recommend this place.

This is the 4th time I have had dinner at The Palm. Every time the food has been delicious but the service once again is poor. I feel as if they just do not understand what good customer service is. Four of us ordered the lobster and by the end of the meal we were all covered in it. We assumed we would be supplied a damp warm cloth to clean our hands(as most high end restaurants supply to you after lobster). We had to ask for bread, more water, and the wrong drinks were brought to our table. Hands down the Best Customer Service goes to Flemings. My suggestion is send your staff for training and re-training to their place. Everyone will benefit.
