The yuk gae jung was authentic and served in a large metal bowl. A traditional ceramic bowl with the soup boiling would have been superior but its difficult to complain when the metal bowl couldve easily served two. The six side dishes were very fresh and diverse including the cabbage kimchee which was the best Ive had since living in Korea. I had water with my meal which kept the cost to approximately $10. Definitely worth that price. The restaurant is very clean and my waitress/owner was very friendly. The only drawback with Korean Restaurants in the USA is their reluctance to refill the side dishes and rice bowl when they are eaten during the course of the meal. Any Korean restaurant worth their salt would never allow that to happen in Korea. Overall it was a very good experience and probably the best Korean restaurant in the Nashville area. Be careful of their funky hours as they close for 3 hours between lunch and dinner (2-5).

I am not going back to this place and not recommending it to anyone. The food is average, there are far more better Korean restaurants in Nashville with better prices than this place. The price is pretty high, and the service is very poor. The server that we got was showing a racist attitude towards me and my husband, and this is the first time Ive ever said this my whole life. They treat Koreans and serve them so much better than any other customers. Oh, and I am watching that tip. We are certainly going to check our credit card charges. They have a history of changing the tip to make it higher. They seem to be choosing who they want to serve good and who they wont care. Very very bad service.

Beautiful food. Wonderful service. Pleasant ambiance. But the food! So delicious. Korean food is so addictive. You can sit at a Bar B Que table and grill your own food, with help if needed, or sit at a regular table and order an entree. Ive done both and both meals are delicious and more than satisfying. At this restaurant, appetizers are each enough for a crowd. And the crowd enjoys every bite. For people who havent been to a Korean restaurant, you order the entree or the meat(s) to grill. First you get the banchan, which is an array of little plates of delicious side dishes. Korean food is beautiful, delicious and nourishing. And I highly recommend Seoul Garden. Youll enjoy it!

This is my 3rd. time going there and if I were less busy I would probably go there more often. The best thing I like about this place is the atmosphere. It is very quite, and relaxing. The windows are unlike the rest where you see the busy outside life. It really makes me enjoy the good food. By the way, the food is spicy but you know when you go it is a different cuisine. You can always order something that is not spicy, it is up to you! The people there have an accent, but are very friendly, unlike at the chinese. If you want a different experience, give it a try! It takes a few minutes longer to be served with the food.

We had the BBQ tonight. The meat and soup were great. Is it a bit pricey as others have said? a bit but overall not that bad. We all went away full plus a bit left over. Is the service a bit slow as others have mentioned? a bit but I have been in Seoul and Gangnam many times and dinner is not rushed as we tend to do in the U.S. so relax and enjoy your dinner and the companionship of friends. Do they automatically add a 20% tip for BBQ? yes but I tend to tip 20% or more anyway so not a big deal. Bottom line is that the food is real good and it is a nice place to eat. We would definitely go back.

This place literally FORCE customers to tip. They will automatically put 20% gratuity on the bill no matter what without listing anywhere on the menu either so that youll know beforehand. We wanted to tip cash instead and they throw the money at our face and told us to never come back. Though we received pretty much no service, i understand the concept behind tiping. However, keep in mind tipping is never and should never be FORCED but OPTIONAL. dont go to this place unless you wanna be humiliated out of their completely selfish rudeness.

April 16, 2016 1pm. What took off very slow with service turned into a fantastic experience! Our waitress forgot about us to start things off. But with only 2 serving, we understood. Instantly, things turned around with the food coming out as quickly as it did. The portions of food is abundantly generous. The cod, shrimp and muscles was great. But the squid was above and beyond the best. The beef, in my opinion, was average. All and all, the humorous service and authentic food will have me coming back for more. Very good showing.

This is a very authentic, value-priced, Korean restaurant. The bad reviews you are seeing here are from people not used to authentic Korean food or chose not to order more mainstream fare. I highly recommend Seoul Garden. The Korean Bar-B-Q must be experienced to be believed. Yes, you have to cook your own food - its fun with friends and quite tasty. Portions are huge. The only thing that prevents me from giving this 5 stars is that it does not aspire to be a 5 star restaurant. For the price, it is beyond outstanding.

This place was horrible. First off, if you cant speak Korean, dont even bother. Our food was wrong. Then they tried to charge us for the wrong food in addition to the right food. Then we tried to salvage the night (a friends birthday) with some karaoke. The machine was horrible and cut out. Most of the book is in Korean. And we were told it was 5 dollars an hour for the room. When we left they said it was 35 dollars an hour. Whole experience was horrible. Please go ANYWHERE else but here.

I lived in Korea for a year and this is the only Korean food that Ive tried in the U.S. that was authentic. If youre not used to eating Korean food order the Galbi (pork shoulder). Get the table with a grill and theyll cook in front of you, or show you how. Personally I like doing it myself. It comes with a lot of little side dishes also that are very good. Ive been there twice now and have had excellent service both times. Great place if youre wanting to try something new.

Food was pretty good and the experience was good at the bbq table, but the mandatory 20% tip is off putting especially because gratuity is for service provided in addition to the food. I got 2 entrees and an appetizer coming out to a 14 dollar tip. They seemed to be understaffed, i waited for about 5 minutes before anyone came to the bus area where i was standing but was immediately seated. Was good and id go here again but im going to try other korean bbq places first
