Best Chinese food in Seattle so far. They kept staying with the integrity and authenticity of Chinese cuisine yet be able to offer some American-Chinese food. Their soups are always good. Also, they have a bar attached to it. If alcohol beverages are the goal, it is great place to get drink with yum food. The interior can be updated a little bit. But the tables and chairs maintaining in a good condition. Update: went back foe the lunch special. The food is as good as dinner with smaller portion and cheaper price. Great for lunch break if you work in Ballard.

Probably the worst Chinese food Ive had in my life. I got the Kung Pao Combo, and it was incredibly bland. There was absolutely no spice at all. Also, the portion was surprisingly small for the price. On top of that, entrees do not come standard with rice.... I for one have never been to any sort of Asian restaurant that doesnt serve at least a scoop of rice with an entree. So they pretty much expected me to eat just meat and sauce for dinner unless I wanted to pay extra for rice. I will never eat here again.

The steamed rice is, well, steamed rice. The fried rice - pretty much like the steamed rice with carrots, egg, and peas. The actual entrees, however, were darned good. The plum sauce chicken in particular was amazing! Great smell, even better taste - the perfect combo of garlic and spice, savory and sweet. Id order from there again to go in a heartbeat. The diner is small and plain with no real ambiance, but I am really looking forward to getting some of that plum sauce chicken again.

A great place for American style Chinese food. You pay a lot for epic portions and lots of calories. The fried noodle dishes were great, the sweet and spicy soup was really spicy. The location is a bar and restaurant combo. You can get you rum and coke along with your orange chicken. Might be best suited for lunches to go or late night dive bars to hang around. Maybe not the best for kids.

Always the best!!! We thought wed die when Greenwood Mandarin closed, so weve been so grateful to have them down in Ballard now. Food is always amazing, but above all, the service is truly spectacular. We always feel like family when we are there! Love these guys and their fabulous restaurant. And by far the worlds most amazing hot and sour soup!!!!!!!

The service was top notch. The best and kindest I have ever had. The food came so very quickly and tasted amazing. The server was very kind and suggested the pan fried noodles over the chow mein and I have never had a better time. Definitely favor the Hong Kong style noodles. I will be coming back many times to try the food here.

Years ago I would go here while my clothes were drying at the Laundromat across the street. Cheap food and taste enough to ignore the fact I was killing time until my clothes were dry. Now they have a good neighborhood bar. For decent American Chinese food and some drinks this place fits the bill.

We get vegan/vegetarian fare here. The staff is great and almost always throws in a free dish for us to try. Did I say FREE CHINESE FOOD! The food is hot and they are awesome. It is never cheap but when they give you free food? I would call here above any other place!

I am allergic to MSG so usually avoid eating at Chinese restaurants, but this is one place near-by I can safely enjoy Chinese food! We are *always* happy coming out of the restaurant. The food is delicious (not too sauce-y) and the service is excellent.

Been coming here for years and Ive never been disappointed. Food is freshly prepared and service is fast and friendly. Lunch menu offers a variety of reasonably priced plates that include a generous portion of entree, rice, tea and fortune cookie.

Best Chinese joint in town veggies are fresh, the meats tender, and the BBQ pork fried rice and General Tso s chicken are to die for! Born and raised here in Seattle and we never go anywhere else. Portions are giant and prices low!

Ordered General Tao Chicken, wonton soup, egg roals and rice. The wonton soup was decent, the egg rolls were ok but the General Tao dish was not good at all. Not crispy enough and some pieces were all fat. Would not go back.

Super friendly, good portion, not expensive. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, little bit spicy and salty for me, but still OK overall. Next time I will ask for less spicy & less salty. Definitely will come back.

Every dish I try here I either love or hate, but overall its a pretty inexpensive meal and the service is great. Music...not so much. Cheesy American pop music with radio ads at a loud volume; not my thing.

Honest to goodness Chinese restaurant. The food is true to form and not overwhelmed by sauces that hide the flavor of it. Try one of the three meat combos (pork, beef, shrimp) and you wont be disappointed.

As most people will tell you, not all Chinese restaurants are made equal or are even safe to eat at. This place is clean, has fresh food and is a great place to grab a bite. Happy I found it.

kGreat food, reasonable prices, good service. Will definitely be back. Just so you know, I am Chinese food snob and this was definitely well above the norm.

Expensive for quality of food and portions. A tad greasier than looks on reviews. Maybe I went at a bad time but not going back unless someone makes me go.

Our go-to Chinese place. They dont deliver, but they have a nice little corner section to pull up a chair and have a beer while your order is made.
