Amazing, home style Korean food with such a welcoming staff. I had the Dolsot Bibimbap with some tasty banchan of kimchi (cabbage, radish, cucumber, fish). The food was fresh and came out quickly. The staff checked on me frequently and smiled when I said thank you in Korean. The space is a converted diner into a comfy, clean and welcoming space. On a Tuesday night the place was relatively busy with folks constantly coming in and out. I loved that they have a cooler with packaged kimchi and ban chan that the chef makes fresh every morning. The staff was so friendly we kept chatting the hold time and they loved to hear that my wife watched Korean soap operas and loves Korean food, specially Kimchi and Kimchi Jeegae. I bought several of the packaged Kimchi and Banchan for my wife. What a great little find on a business trip. I will try to bring my wife from Atlanta for a fun day trip. You can ask for a friendlier place with basic tasty Korean homestyle food. Enjoy Khurram

We where seated right away but was forgotten until after a table that came in after us had thier order taken first. Waitress came back and took our order about 10 minutes after we sat down. Appetizer was not served for another 20 minutes. People who came after us were served there meals but we never got our entrees. We didnt even get our water refilled. Other customers were being taken care of by the waitress. It was clear that the waitress only paid good attention to Koreans but not other races. After 40 minutes of waiting, we gave up and told the waitress to just forget our orders and give us our bill. The lady in the kitchen got upset but we left and vowed to never come back again!

Having spent a year posted in Korea I came to appreciate Korean food. I was almost heartbroken, coming back Stateside and to Augusta, GA, because I didnt think Id find good Korean food anywhere in the CSRA. Maybe in Cleveland, OH, or in Atlanta, surely. But here? Nah. I was wrong!!!! I came here with a bunch of people a few months back, and while the neighborhood does look a bit sketchy the inside is very nice. Ive had their bulgolgi, japche noodles, kimbab, and my personal favorite, bibimbop with a lot of the red chili sauce. It was like I was back in Seoul. Thats the highest praise I could give them. They love it when I walk in and greet them in Korean too.

Dont let the outside fool you - its not a strip club or tattoo parlor. The interior is clean and service is friendly, but youre really there for the food. Good selection that could appeal to a native or adventurous foodie, but plenty of choices that a newbie can enjoy. I came for bi him bap and wasnt disappointed, and my companion had a great spicy seafood soup. The traditional sides of various types of kimchi were delicious and the waitress kept the bowls filled. Reasonable bill ($30 for two with hot tea) with timely service. No complaints - couldnt ask for more!

This experience was like a culinary return to Korea! Passing through town I craved Korean food and didnt know where to go, so I chose Happy House mainly due to location and the number of positive reviews. I figured it would be good based on the number of cars out front and the large number of old Koreans inside eating and visiting. I was not disappointed! I ordered the yaki mandu and chicken bulgolki, and both were fresh and amazingly seasoned. The service was extremely fast and the ladies were very courteous! I will return if the opportunity arises!

I am Korean. I love korean food. I travel 50 weeks out of the year and go all over the world and eat a lot of korean food. The food here is excellent. I must say that the Kimchi Gigae was in the top 5 Ive ever eaten. The place was clean, fresh paint, and newer tables and chairs. I even saw pictures of Y.E. Yang (Korean golfer who beat Tiger Woods in the PGA Championship) on the wall with the owners. This place was a pleasant surprise and Im glad that I found it. I will go back when Im in Augusta.

The food here is great. I lived in Korea, and now that I am here in Augusta I have been miss authentic tasty Korean food . This place is by far the best in the area. It is right up there with my favorite places in Korea. The portions are huge. My husband and I shared the pork bul go ki and the chop chae. Both were excellent, and we have enough left overs for 1 or 2 more meals each. Please Augusta, visit this restaurant. Lets keep good, diverse restaurants in business!

Makes me so happy happy happy. Huge portions so I guess that justifies the high prices. Bring your appetite in that regard. An interesting wooden box on every table with silverware that I thought was just for the decor, but my server told me i could use it. I kept on with my chopsticks. The nicest and happiest staff ever. Very welcoming atmosphere. House made Kim chi etc for sale in the refrigerator by the front counter.

Perhaps the most authentic Korean cuisine in Augusta. Housed in an old diner, this little gem of a restaurant is the best kept secret in the city owing to its out of the way location. If you want to know where Koreans go out to eat Korean food, this is the place. Homey, intimate, comforting, Happy House is the warm hug from the Korean aunt you never knew you had but always yearned for.

The neighborhood is seedy but the food is delicious. Prices seem high but our family of four usually buys two dishes and splits them four ways. We never leave hungry. The staff is friendly. One woman even shared my toddlers Cheerios (he fed her). The wait can be about 20-30 minutes for food because its all made to order. Just keep in mind the wait staff and kitchen staff is limited.

OUTSTANDING! I took my family, 2 young ones, and we cant say enough good things about the place. The service was quick and friendly. The food was even better! We ordered Yaki Man Doo and Spicy Pork Bul Go Gi. The Yaki Man Doo was cooked to perfection and one Bul Go Gi plate had enough food for 2 people. I highly recommend a visit to this amazing Korean Restaurant!

Being half Asian and having eaten Asian Foods all of my life, each time I come to Augusta for business I make it my business to eat here! I was pleasantly surprised when I first ate here in the summer of 2014 ... been eating here ever since. BEST KOREAN FOOD IN AUGUSTA. .. For sure! Try the BBQ Short Ribs!

When KJ Choi of the PGA Tour eats here for the Masters Golf Tourney, you got to come here! Locally owned with true Korean flave, the food is authentic like coming over for a potluck of all Korean dishes. Get the Bul-gogi and the spicy squid because you just need to get them both!

The food was great as always but this time we were sitting behind a very loud bunch of teenage boys. Very rude and very loud. If the food wasnt so good I would have been extremely upset. I wish the staff would have said something to them.
