What a sad, nasty little dump. My girlfriend and I have eaten at hundreds of restaurants all over the world and this is the FIRST place weve ever WALKED OUT of. We are Korean food and culture enthusiasts and try to sample the offerings in every place we travel to, but the rude, ugly women who run this dump were starkly intolerable. They do not like white people at all and are not afraid to show it. Upon entering, I noticed dirty corners and carpet. The table at which we were seated by a sour hag devoid of the slightest courtesy was sticky and nasty. I glanced at the poor fellow seated across from us as he chewed and tugged at what was apparently the toughest piece of galbi in history, muttering something like "THIS is what I get for almost $20???" And the less said about the restrooms, the better. We sat there for 32 minutes while acting very friendly and were not acknowledged in any way after being seated. No menus, no water, no nothing. Eye contact with the owner was made several times, but she ignored us for no discernible reason. The waitress walked by us 5 times with zero acknowledgment. After 20 minutes, we decided to eat elsewhere but sat another 12 minutes in amazement just as a social experiment. Still ignored, we walked out and enjoyed a great meal and fine service at Thai Papaya a short distance away. If you live near here and your dog, cat, or rat vanishes, dont bother with the animal shelter - check here first.

They do not care. I was excited to invite this place and every time I force my friends/family to go with me because I love hidden gems. My 6th visit was Friday evening and I ordered the stir fried octopus. I am a chef by trade, so Im aware of how to prepare these meals. The octopus was extremely undercooked, and I asked it to be sent back. You could not even chew through it. Like rubber. And they still charged me for it. I refused to pay for something I did not eat, but the waitress insisted that she Told me that octopus is just tough in general. They stood there arguing insisting that because she told me(which she didnt until after I asked her to take it back), I should pay. I have ordered this same did here before. I know how to make this dish. The amount of business Ive brought to this restaurant, I am so disappointed. my entire evening ruined by their behavior at the situation. I had wanted to bring my father to this place for Sunday lunch today, but I am taking our business going forward elsewhere.

The waitress poured a cup of water on my body and she didnt even say sorry. On the contrary, she blamed me for not placing the cup at the inner side of the table. Second, I order a hot pot and a bibimbap. A bowl of rice was served at the begging, but when the hot pot was brought, she just took the rice away and said my bibimbap has rice in it. Third, I was over charged. A dollar is not too much but it is true that not every verifies the payment carefully. She used a calculator and made it wrong. She did not say sorry as well. She never felt guilty. Also, she blamed me for giving only a 10% tip. I did not want to give you tip ok? I just wanted to be a polite person. I did not want to say bad words to you and thats why I was giving you tips. Why were you so confident? Overall, the food is good, but her attitude was totally NOT ACCEPTABLE

The food was really great. I ordered the Spicy pork BBQ plate and couldnt eat it all to save my life! Its a bit pricey, at 17 dollars for the plate, but they definitely give you enough food. I didnt think the waitress was very attentive. I did manage to grab her attention to let her know I wanted another soda...But if the glad did empty, Im usually used to being asked if I would like some more. It wasnt very crowded in there, and mostly the waitress was sitting at a table with the rest of the employees just laughing and carrying on. I still tipped 20%, but I really didnt feel it was earned to say the least. Would order take out from this place for sure! Probably wont ever eat in again. It also got on my nerves that they didnt offer straws with their glasses. Ewwww that really bothered me.

Let me say this, the food i tried was fine. the only thing i meal i have tried is pork bulgogi. Im giving them a bad review because they will over charge you if you dony have knowledge on what pork Bulgogi cost at most places that are more successful then this place. if you are American they are going to try to rip you off, price a couple of places first and then call them. Pork Bulgogi cost around $12 at most places, i ordered from them and they charged me 16.75 plus $2 for lettuce and the total price for it was $20.75. Thats a lot of tax huh? this is not a place that delivers so i dont understand y it cost me that much on some normal Pork Bulgogi.

Just made my first visit to this hidden gem. I was one of a group of 15. We were sitted in a separate room for larger groups. The service was excellent. In fact we only had one server (Jean) for the entire group. Side dishes were on our table immediately, as were our drinks. Main courses came promptly. The food was excellent and there was so much of it that most of us took what was left home with us. This was my first visit to a Korean Restaurant and I was literally blown away. Its not a fancy place and kind of hidden away, but trust me its worth a visit, or two, or three.

If youre looking for fantastic Korean barbecue, this is your stop! The driveway is a little rough pulling in, but its well worth the drive. The food is authentic, and the smells alone are enough to make you fantasize. We had some of the best dumplings Ive ever had & the tempura tasted as fresh as some of had straight from the sea. For barbecue, the grills are built right into your table, so its hot and fresh off the grill to eat. We had an absolutely fantastic time! Its always hard to find great Korean barbecue, but this place had it.

We have always enjoyed the food and service at Hai wood Dai. Last night we celebrated a family birthday with a large group of family and friends. Once again the service was exceptional and the food choices were even better. They were king enough to give us a private suite and everyone was pleased. As always, thank you to Hai wood Dai for a wonderful evening. Bob toth Lebanon, tn

Best Korean food Ive had in Nashville. The flavors are loved by not just Koreans but also Chinese, Japanese, and Americans. The restaurant is clean, and the service is friendly. Im Korean, and my girlfriend is Chinese. We both love the food here. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for Korean food, or just Asian food in general.

Really good food, friendly staff, a tad expensive. Its a little hole in the wall in a bad neighborhood, but youll be surprised at how good the food is. I recommend the pork BBQ dish. I wont even try to remember the name. Youll unfortunately also be surprised at your bill. With drink, youll be spending around $18-20 per person.
