Eh. Food is ok, desserts are very good, but service is slow and occasionally grumpy. Its ok for the price. Im editing this review from five months ago. My family has been going here for the last three years, and it has become continually worse. Tonight, like the last four times weve been, we had to wait to be acknowledged and finally seated. Weve waited as long as almost five minutes. NOT CROWDED. We are seated far from the buffet so I must manuver my daughter through a plethora of chairs and tables. The food: the salad bar and dessert sections were very nice, as usual. My husband enjoyed the lasania (sp) and salad. However, most items were overcooked yet still room temperature or cold. The shrimp was no longer edible (mushy, lukewarm boiled shrimp is not healthy), and the mashed potatoes tasted like they were made with spoiled milk. (My daughter and I both gagged. We kept spitting out food!) Our server agreed about the potatoes, and they were taken off the buffet. The roast beef is always dry, which is a shame. The pork ribs are always tender but cold. The BBQ sauce comes from a jar and is delicious! The catfish is tasty but always tough. The tilapia, well, we couldnt put a fork in it... Literally. Im so done with this place. We WONT be going back until it improves. BTW:. We usually arrive between 5:30 and 6 oclock. This is the "busy" time. We used to go here once a week. So disappointed.

Horrible staff, Bad business - Overall the food was so-so, but the staff and business practices have us warning all our friends to stay away. During our nearly 1 hour wait for a table (not because they were overly busy, but because they did not clear dirty tables and refused to put together available tables in 3 separate areas), we were the only party of 6 waiting aside from occasional 2-4 party walk-ins who often had to wait 15 or more minutes to be seated. The staff mentioned that there were additional cost "bars" of special steaks, seafood and crabs legs which we declined because we had checked out the regular buffet during our wait and it looked just fine. But these are NOT separate bars or buffets that are marked as such. They are just certain items (not marked as extra) on the regular bar that are mixed in with the items that come with the regular buffet - but if you or your child happen to put them on the plate, the price jumps higher. When we confronted staff about this unethical practice, they just blew us off. It seems like this is intentionally designed to inflate the final bill. When we asked to speak to the manager we hit the response "You ate it, did you enjoy it? Yes, then you pay for it." from the high school aged "manager". We often eat at much higher quality restaurants and dont have any problem paying for that quality, but had wanted to try this"acclaimed" local buffet. Never again.

The first time we went I was very satisfied. It was a Friday night so it was packed which means it must be a good place to eat. The Food was fresh and we ordered the pound of crab legs to split. We bring our kids back to eat there this past Friday for one of their birthdays expecting it to be the same. Most of the meat was dried out. There were allot less people which tells you something. But the biggest thing and the reason Im most upset is our waitress told us were not allowed to order anything less then 3 pounds of crab legs. Dont advertise it if you cant! The crab is the main reason I go. We had more people so I thought this would be fine. When she brings the crab out I thought to myself surely shes bring another plate thats not 3 pounds. Nope that was it. Looked likes the same amount when I ordered a pound. I most likely wont be back. If I wanna spend that much for what we received Ill go to Red lobster

my husband and I went there today 2/28/15 for breakfast. when we got there we seen there wasnt a lot of ppl there. any way we got our food and started eating, the eggs was hard, the sausage links was hard the hash was nasty the gravy was old and the fried steak was half done.(there was blood still in the middle) we told the waitress and she said she was gonna tell the manager about it. well she came back while I was eating some old fruit and said there gonna take off 1 breakfast. this is the 2 time I have been there and the food was half done and the fruit was nasty. when this place first open it was good now they have gone to the dogs. well I paid for the food and the lady said yall come back now, I told her we would not be back here ever again cause this place has done gone down bad.

the first time my boyfriend I and went to this place it was amazing, today was a different story. The chicken was still pink in the middle (both the tenders and the fried chicken), someone mixed chocolate in with the brown gravy, the shrimp was cold with the veins still in them, there was no olive oil at the salad bar (but, plenty of vinegars), the waitress asked if we wanted anything else to drink but never brought it, kids were at the ice cream machine licking their fingers and wiping the valves (not sure where their parents were). We know that buffets can be a hit or miss but we were so pleased the first time, we really looked forward to it today and was very disappointed. By the looks at the other patrons plates around us I believe they felt the same.

Wait staff has always been very friendly & always keeps our drinks full & table clean! However...the food is never great. Weve been at Dinner time, tried weekend seafood Buffett, tried breakfast Buffett.... All food at all times were gross. No taste..just massed produced/cooked. Also.....the cashier & her manager was very "Snappy" to us because We wanted to split our checks up in order to use the $5 coupons that We found in our local Clipper Magazine! We were a part of 8....so we diffeintly meet the $25 minimum that was indicated on the coupon. Bottom line is... Farmer Family Restaurant places the ads for the coupons in the local clipper magazine.....but they give you attitude when you want to use them!!! Our family & friends will NOT be returning!

Most of the food did not look very appetizing. I was really in the mood for some good mashed potatoes and fried chicken. But the mashed potatoes looked like it was made from powder outta a box. Luckily the fried chicken, meatloaf, and dumplings were all edible. When I walked in, i was seated and almost ignored at the same time. I had to quickly get the girls attention and i inquired: "Ive never been here before. So this is just a buffet ?" She affirmed. And I asked "how much is it ?" She said $7.99. However, I was charged $8.99 plus tax. So the discrepancy felt like a scam. I get the distinct impression that Im not in their target audience, which i suspect is old people who have lost their taste buds and dont know what good food is anymore ?
