They got my order wrong but that doesnt justify the one star. It is the cold "Yes?" We received on arrival. Whereelese other people got "Good morning would you be dining in or take out?" It is the clear disgust, ignorance and silence in their face while serving two brown customers. Not even a forced "thank you" on our way out. They might think it does not show. But we being people, much like them, notice the hate. Great food though. Granted were never going back.

Not to be missed! This place rocked. The key lime pie in a jar was amazing, the BBLT was loaded and the baked potato platter was huge. The food was very good, standard southern cooking. By far the best were the smoked wings. While I cant say they were the best Ive had, they are a close second. Friendly service, good lighting and a comfortable space. Right off the highway for travelers too, but this is clearly a local favorite.

Food has been good in the past but tonight was a big fail! The Chicken Fried Steak and Fried Okra were not good. The okra was cooked in oil that needed changing and the steak too was covered with dark bits of debris from a not often cleaned fryer. Black eyed peas were delicious and the Pulled Pork sandwich ordered by my wife was good. I will give them another chance in case we just caught them on an off night.

Grabbed a bbq sandwich to go since I was in a hurry. The owner chatted with me while I waited and you could tell he took pride in customer service and ran a good business. That bbq sandwich was right in the top tier of the absolute best bbq you can get, and Ive been around the South enough to know. I will be back even if it means going out of my way.

We are at a hotel and Southern Comfort was recommended by the front desk staff ( He eats there all the time ) I have to tell you the food was excellent the porkchops are out of this world The catfish was to die for, the portions are huge. They deliver, very friendly and I would recommend this restaurant to everybody...

Fresh country fried steak as big as a house! Not prebreaded & frozen! Real mashed potatoes that arent reconstituted from a box! Should be called Real Comfort Food because thats what it is. They even coat their fried green tomatoes with breadcrumbs - so good! Ill be back like the Terminator!

Great local place! So much better than fast food restaurants in the area. Staff/owners are very friendly. We really enjoyed the chicken fried chicken, collard greens, and fried shrimp. I would definitely recommend it if youre in the mood for southern country cooking.

Friendly staff and great food. We stopped by during our road trip and Im so glad we decided to go with this place. The price was fair, service was spot-on, and the food was perfect. Wish we lived closer to this little gem of a place. I really miss the key lime dessert!

If you are looking for Southern cooking, this place is fantastic!!! Amazing food, quick and friendly service. This was exactly what I was looking for while passing through Montgomery. Huge portions!! My only regret is I didnt save enough room for dessert!!

Ive been going there to eat lunch for three months and its the only place Ive ever been where Ive never had a bad meal! I highly recommend the the Chicken Gumbo soup, Fried Green Tomatoes and fresh cooked collards that are some of the best Ive ever had!

Fast Friendly service. The food is good and the prices are low. Really busy at lunch time with Air Force and Hyundai workers. New all day hours are great and they have a to-go service. Great if you are staying in the hotels in Hope Hull.

We ordered chicken fried chicken and gravy, fried okra and collard greens as well as chicken fried steak with white gravy, fried green tomatoes and corn bread muffins. Everything was served hot and delicious! Will definitely be back.

Very friendly service. Awesome home-cooked food. I am not a grits fan but the cheese grits were delicious. The catfish and the hush puppies were good as well and they were not greasy. If I lived in the area, I would eat there often.

My wife and I are SC residents and we take our BBQ very seriously. We have found this out of the way BBQ restaurant in Montgomery AL. Great menu, great food and if you find friendlier place, I dont know where. Excellent food.

Really great food. Reasonable prices and large portions. Save room for dessert! Only thing missing is atmosphere. Its clean and great waitstaff but brightly lit and very open. Next time I am in Montgomery I will be back

This is the perfect place to go when traveling. We always stop by when we are in our way to the beach. They have great food and low prices. The service is great. I hope you like this restaurant as much as my family did!

If youre in Hope Hull, this is your best bet for non-chain food that also tastes good. Got the BBLT with coleslaw and it hit the spot. Not for those on a diet but friendly and a great find.

Great food just off the freeway. Good size portions. Had bbq pulled pork sandwhich and wings. There were still some feather parts on the wings, which was the only reason I dropped a star.

The ribs were tasty, but I could tell theyve been sitting out for awhile - they actually came out cold. I will say, they had the best creamy macaroni and cheese Ive ever had.
