The food at the Sunday brunch was absolutely delicious, but I could only eat half of my $14 entree. I got the shrimp with grit cakes and it was delicious. Then I started the second stack of grits and a dead fly sat right on top. I had been ignoring the uncleaned shrimp and moving them to the side, but the fly was too much. I told the waitress who seemed shocked but when she came back with my check, theyd only removed 25% from the entree. So I ate half of my meal and spent about $11.50? No thanks. I was actually pretty mad when I left. ***Update: Thanks for your reply, Josh. But Im confused by a private message from "Derek," in which he told me I ought to be "ashamed" of myself for posting this review. Also, condemning me for being a liar was nice. For the record, I took a picture of the edge of the plate only to show the parts of the meal which were somewhat inedible. I left much more food uneaten, but failed to take a picture of everything that I left untouched. Derek also wrote: "I was overly kind on your Google review," so Im unsure of the apology offered here. As I stated, the food was delicious but its just not worth being served unclean food and being called a liar.

I ordered the pesto pasta but it may as well have been oil pasta. There was so much oil in the bowl that it looked like soup. Trying to save the situation, I asked for bread to soak some of it up, but even the bread was airy and flavorless. Server Nicholas was courteous, but the hostess was a little unprofessional. I watched her address every party that came in with "hey guys." Maybe thats the culture around here in Gallatin - I dont know - but I was not impressed. My meal was very overpriced for the quality it was. I hoped to find a place I could count on returning to for dinner when Im in town, but this wasnt it.

Great place to eat! For me, brunch on the weekend, try the Spicy Nick Omelet! Boudain sausage, Tasso Asso pork, ghost pepper cheese, onion, smothered in gumbo with home fries. Lunch, I like fried catfish plate but anything is good. Supper, Catfish Toulouse, Shrimp and Grits, or the Pork Loin. Mmmmm, its all good! Oh, and dont forget the fried okra! I also have to mention the staff. Rose, Christian, Nick, Autumn out front are marvelous! We love this place!

I didnt want to leave A star but it was the only way I could leave comment. Service was terrible. Had to find a waitress to be seated. Sat for 25 mins no one came to wait on us. Three people came in after us and was seated and served before we ask for the manager. She came over and did not try to correct the situation just ok bye. Not a I am sorry or what can I do to make it better. We informed her we would never be back, again she said ok and walked away.

This was mine and my familys first experience at crescent city and it was beyond amazing. The environment was outstanding. I loved the decor and live music. We had Captain M was our server and he was the best server i have had in a long time. He was very attentive and gave us his best suggestions off the menu which turned out to be the best. I enjoyed the shrimp and gifts and would suggest everyone who hasnt had them to go for it!!!

Beautiful old building. Good comfortable atmosphere. Very good food. Excellent waitstaff. Not a franchise. Ill give em 5 stars when they get a liquor license, but that may be too pricey in Gallatin. I try to go 2 or 3 times per month, and I have to drive 14 miles. One of my favorite restaurants, period. Check out Bluesday Tuesday.

We had Nicholas as a server he was amazing! Great server and became part of the family in the "short time" we were there. Pawpaw loved him and thats a a great sign. We talked tattoos and shared lots of laughs. The food was fantastic and we will definitely be back if not for him then for the food. Highly recommend!

Overall good experience. Understandably, high quality seafood is hard to come by in a landlocked state but didnt think the seafood pasta entree was worth the $20 its priced at. Will most likely go back though!

Eh, it was fair to bad. We had the gumbo and the jambalaya and the boudin balls. Certainly not as terrific as these reviews state. How do these places get 5 stars ?

Very tasty. Try their Cajun twist to catfish or shrimp tacos. Their pasta, well, you need to try it for yourself. #crescentcity #dinelocal
